The happy ending

We know Sirius looks pretty terrifying in his animagus form. A huge, black dog the size of a bear, and looks like the grim. I need more descriptions of Sirius that highlight how intimidating he looks as human. Cold grey eyes, tall, and he’s got his polite aloofness down pat for people he isn’t particularly interested in to talking to. We know Bellatrix looks terrifying, Sirius should be able to make people shit themselves with just one look too tbh.

Peter: what if we get expelled?

Sirius: no one gets expelled Peter, Barty crouch jr hasn’t been expelled and he’s part of the death eaters

James: i say that’s probably why

Wolfstar is painful because everything slipped away from them and they didn’t even realize it until it was too late

Jegulus is painful because everything slipped away from them and they saw it coming from the very beginning and as hard as they tried, they still couldn’t hold onto it

“I smell grass, broom polish…” Regulus leaned closer to the cauldron, smiling subconsciously as the comforting scents overtook his senses. “-a log fire, and… flowers?”

“Now I could be wrong, Reggie,” Pandora smiled innocently as she leaned closer to him. “But that sounds like it could be a certain Gryffindor we both know.”

Regulus groaned, feigning annoyance as he tried to hide a growing blush behind his hands. “Oh be quiet, Dora! We probably just brewed it wrong.”

“Hmm… what’s more likely? The two top students of our class brewing a simple amortentia potion wrong, or you being madly in love with James Pot-“

“Shut up!”

Reading fanfic has heightened my paranoia. Somebody could be directly across from me on the other side of the room with no reasonable way of being able to see my phone screen but I always have that nagging feeling that somehow everyone in the room knows exactly what sins I’m committing and are severely disappointed in me.

jegulily are nerds. huge, giant, nerds. but in very different ways.

lily is a nerd in the sense she spends most of her time in the library, planning her career and studying for classes, obsessing over fictional books, playing chess, reading lord of the rings a million times, practices potion making for fun and likes to make the same potion over and over, gets excited over quidditch stats and making types of plays but finds watching the actual game boring

regulus is a nerd in the sense he obsesses over classical music and relentlessly learns compositions, secretly loves classic romance books and uses them to work out how to socialise, spends all his time studying or on independent projects usually related to something in one of his classes, was ojce given a cigarette and his first thought was to dissect it open

james is a nerd in the sense he obsessively watched star wars over and over and then brought every piece of merch he could find, always gets top marks in everything, willingly reads extremely high level transfiguration books for fun all the time, spends all day working out quidditch stats, and had a map making phase as a kid (which he still has)

i am such a firm believer that regulus fell in love first.

sure, james was interested first. how could he not be? reg was a walking contradiction, so completely different than his brother, yet so similar.

but the interest of someone who wasn’t told to be interested, wasn’t forced into it, wasn’t talking to him for any sort of gain, but just being with him for him, was new. as soon as james started paying attention to him, and talking to him, and smiling at him, regulus was done for. 

regulus barely fought as he went under.
