I thought I’d post a little guide to removing messed up content that was installed along with something else accidentally. There were a few files in my game that weren’t package files, and I hadn’t installed them as .sims3packs either.
With Nraas MasterController installed, I went into CAS and right-clicked the offending item. Doing that produces a yellow pop-up on the right side of the screen. In the pop-up, you should see the instance number of the item in question. Take a screenshot for reference. Close your game.
Open the first .dbc file from C:\Users\[yourUsername]\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\DCCache in S3pe. Type in the instance number that you took the screenshot of into the Instance Number text box (in the lower right of S3pe). Then check the ‘filter active’ checkbox, and click ‘set’. If the offending item is in the .dbc file you’re checking, all other sub-files will disappear and you’ll see just that one (or two if there’s an accompanying thumbnail image). If all disappear, you’ll need to open the next .dbc file and check there. Right-click the filtered sub-item when you find it, and select ‘Deleted’. Save the .dbc. The bad item should be gone.
Please consider reblogging this for others’ benefit - it was driving me crazy until I discovered this solution, so hopefully it will alleviate someone else’s pain. ;)

To get scones make jam with 3 pieces of fruit at the canning station. Be amazed as your sims stick their bare hands in boiling hot water. Then click on the jam and the option to put it on a scone magically appears. No indication as to whether they are cake-like or biscuit-like scones.
OHHHHH~!!!!! O_O Call me an idiot, but I thought the scones were supposed to be MADE! I went through all kinds of aggravation using the Wood Fire Oven to make Country Bread and whatnot, hoping that I would be able to spread the marmalade/etc on the bread and that that where the “scones/toast” talk was coming from; I was so confused when it didn’t work! :P
I just don’t understand how bread could come from a Canning Station! XP (Lol)
Thank you for clarifying that! :)
A new custom career from Lost Pantheon!
Lost Pantheon mod notes
Introduction:
This mod adds a new custom career to the game: the Factory Worker. Many players, including myself, lament the lack of “blue collar” careers in The Sims games so this mod is intended to give players a generic “blue collar” career to provide employment for their town.
Looking for employment? Then look no further than a career with Industrial Systems, the biggest employer of industrial workers throughout SimNation! Beginning with a humble single factory in Twinbrook, Industrial Systems has grown into a nation-wide corporation with factories spread across every major metropolitan area, employing hundreds of thousands of people in a capitalistic juggernaut that boasts record profits and passes almost none of it onto our workforce. We offer our employees a competitive… well, almost competitive salary. Our lawyers assure us that it’s at least above the legal minimum we can pay, anyways. So come and work for Industrial Systems! We’ll hire you even if you don’t have any qualifications, just show a willingness to get to work and don’t ask any questions about our company’s Health Insurance! (Hint: There isn’t any) If you work hard enough on the production line, you too may even reach managerial level. You won’t be running the company, but…uhm, you can wear a suit?
Rabbithole:
The Factory Worker career is situated in the Science Lab rabbithole. Although the obvious choice seemed to be to put the career in the Abandoned Warehouse, this didn’t really sit right with me since the Abandoned Warehouses in the Sims 3 are where criminals go to work, and the Science Lab feels much more like the kind of industrial-style building where large-scale factory work would take place. Nevertheless, I’ve included an Abandoned Warehouse version if you would prefer to use it. Just note that the Warehouse version may still refer to the Science Lab at times.
Work Tones:
Business as Usual
Study hard in the library (Work Hard)
Relax in other Factory Workers
Hang Out with Co-Workers
Fix Broken Machinery (Increases Handiness skill)
JOB LEVELS – FACTORY WORKER:
Level 1: Factory Assembly Line Worker $17 per hour - Mon, Tue,Wed,Thur,Fri
Level 2: Factory Assembly Line Box Packer $26 per hour - Mon, Tue,Wed,Thur,Fri
Level 3: Factory Night Security Guard $42 per hour - Mon, Tue,Wed,Thur
JOB LEVELS - MANAGEMENT BRANCH:
These levels branch off from Level 3 of the “Factory Worker” Branch Level 4: Administrative Staff $49 per hour - Mon, Tue,Wed, Fri, Sat, Sun
Level 5: Assembly Line Manager $72 per hour - Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri
Level 6: Factory Manager $90 per hour - Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri
JOB LEVELS - ENGINEERING BRANCH:
These levels branch off from Level 3 of the “Factory Worker” Branch Level 4: Technician $52 per hour - Mon, Tue,Wed, Thur
Level 5: Engineer $70 per hour - Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri Level 6: Head Engineer $90 per hour - Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri
This career branches once after level three, where you can go into either the Management or Engineering branch. The career has six levels, since it isn’t the career for the most ambitious or corporate-ladder-climbing Sims. Initially, the career focuses on the Handiness skill. The Management path will also require Charisma, while the Engineering path will require Inventing. This career has its own uniforms and an array of different opportunities, some of which depend on which career branch you choose. Read more and download from MTS!
What if I say I learnt a way to make ts3 run even smoother🙀 The game is currently running on 2.5+gb of RAM and 5+gb of VRAM… This is insane.
Yan was having a mostly lovely conversation with this lady, when some rude ass made it awkward.
I've said this before and I'll say it again: it's more important to know and understand fully why something is harmful than it is to drop everything deemed problematic. It's performative and does nothing. People wonder why nobody has critical thinking skills and this is part of it because no one knows how to simousltansly critique and consume media. You need to use discernment.
UL CLOTHING FIXES
I hate school spirit, and now your Sims can too! I removed most of the stencils from the UL clothing - not all. Because hey, maybe you want a LITTLE spirit. A few pieces of clothing are not pictured, but you get the idea. I removed the gnome logos mainly - but some have all the logos removed! YOU NEED UL FOR THESE TO WORK.
I suspect that deleting the CASThumbnails file will refresh the images in CAS!
ALSO, I fixed the shine on all clothing - some were just terrible. You may have both fixes.

PUT THESE FILES IN YOUR OVERRIDES FOLDER.
edited EA’s default “age” overlay to just have the crows feet and also made it a topical detail. Similar to what @prettyladybabies did with their separated Ageing blush except mine will be indistinguishable from the little checkboxes in the menu (and can’t be faded out womp womp)
this was kind of like a “whatever” kind of thing since this specific section in CAS is pretty barren so if anyone can make use out of this it’s good enough for me.
Under Topical Details > Age Detail (see above)
Also includes 75%, 50%, 25%, and 15% opacity ones so it doesn’t have to be as strong.
the sim shown is wearing the overlay at its strongest and also some makeup in every category so it appears slightly intense than it would otherwise. so results may vary depending on how much makeup your sim has
Feel free to delete the variations you won’t use!
TOU (…this one doesn’t really count tbh)
