atsushi learns to take care of long hair via kyouka - he's watched her do her hair and has helped her do it enough that he's pretty okay with it now
one day, kunikida's hair just keeps on slipping out of his pony tail and atsushi, noticing his frustrations, offers to brush it and tie it for him
he enjoys doing kyouka's hair, dont get me wrong, but he thought it was just a kyouka only thing - after all how could atsushi not want to do things for kyouka who was like a sister and who deserved help or assistance in small things if she so asked - atsushi didn't realize how much he was doing it to show his own affection for her
he finds as he's brushing hair, that its just a way he's been showing kyouka he likes her and now w/ kunikida
anyway atsushi ends up braiding kuni's hair while he's working, and is buzzing with this newfound understanding of another way he can show affection
and with the comb tightly in his hand he asks if anyone else would like him to brush his hair, as nonchalantly as he can
naomi takes one look at his tail wagging, w/ atsushi unaware, and says yeah sure and lets him brush her hair and tie it up
she even tells him to brush juni's hair - which isn't long at all but its still fun
the next day yosano asks atsushi if he could tie up her hair and even ranpo lets him brush it back once
slowly atsushi works his way through everyone in the agency
other than dazai
atsushi offers his services to dazai too
but dazai always refuses - he jokes about atsushi only not doing his hair and when atsushi says he will, dazai gets weirdly quiet and changes the topic after a minute
anyway
atsushi does end up doing dazai's hair, not just brushing, but washing and drying and pushing it out of his face, but its on one of those weeks where dazai cant bring himself to even get out of bed and atsushi decides to take care of him instead
anyway thank you person who said atsushi wants to braid kunikida's hair i love u
//
also atsushi doing gin's hair and akutagawa walking in is a funny image in my head
gin atsushi friendship >>>>>>>>>>>>>
gin atsushi friendship while akutagawa doesn't even know his sisters besties w/ his crush enemy and walks in on them having spa days and talking shit about akutagawa
shit as in "dumbass doesn't even know im in love with him" "my brother doesn't even know he's in love with you he's a special type of stupid"
the animation on minecraft marketplace celebrating hermitcraft s9 now being available for download :D
all those images of atsushi with glasses leads me to pitch imagine atsushi was visually impaired and was subconsciously relying on the tiger's sight to see normally and didn't realize he needed glasses until dazai stopped him from jumping kouyou and he went damn why is she so blurry now
I LOVE THIS IDEA.
Any excuse to put Atsushi in glasses is a good excuse!
I can totally imagine Atsushi squinting whenever Dazai activates his ability on him. Everything gets blurry, and he’s just confused as to why that is. He probably doesn’t realize at first that it’s all thanks to his ability, which has been compensating for him all this time. It’s like a slow realization as he starts to piece things together. Cue a flustered Atsushi realizing it.
Once it does settle in, however, he would be teased a bit by Dazai for sure, but in the end, he might even tag along with Atsushi to get his eyesight checked and get him his glasses, even if Atsushi’s never going to use them much.
Additionally, a little headcanon I have that this reminded me of: Atsushi’s eyes are actually purely purple, so every time Dazai’s ability is activated on him, his normally purple-gold eyes are just solid purple. The yellow is a physical cue of his own ability, and also the reason why his eyes turn fully yellow when it is in use.
Being non-binary is like instead of having an angel and a demon on ur shoulder u have a faggot and a dyke
well guys
au where no one tells atsushi akutagawa's name so at first he's just like 'this guy' or 'you' and eventually they've been running into each other for a hot second and atsushi's too embarrassed to ask now
and he can only say 'heyyyyy.... you' so long before akutagawa catches on that atsushi doesn't know his name and again atsushi is a little embarrassed since akutagawa knows his first and last name
so he starts saying nicknames like 'well well if it isn't the rabid dog' but thats long so it shortens to 'dog' but thats kinda mean and atsushi is learning that as much as akutagawa can rip him apart limb from limb he's also pretty harmless in some ways (and also if he says dog near akutagawa's coworkers that weird hat guy turns to him and then gets angry and stomps away so) so 'dog' is too violent so now he's calling akutagawa 'puppy' or 'pup'
but rabid dog to pup nickname pipeline isn't the only pipeline atsushi's got going on in terms of nicknames
there's "god you don't do anything for urself u just follow orders" to just calling him "doll"
the "what u have to have the highest quality tea or you wont drink it?" to "princess" pipeline
theres also "hey dude!" "do not call me dude" "hey d-du... uh i mean dear"
and calling akutagawa a coward for whatever he's got going on to calling him a baby (derogatory) to just calling him baby
and eventually at some point he starts realizing that these names are not translating the same way between him and akutagawa and literally anyone within hearing range
so he just owns it
but his other nicknames which don't have malicious roots aren't treated differently becuz akutagawa just thinks he's a weirdo which yeah
//
when he and akutagawa start getting close ranpo throws him a bone (in exchange for enough candy to fit a room) and tells him his name
and when atsushi calls akutagawa akutagawa, akutagawa gets upset so atsushi thinks he said the wrong name and corrects it by saying the other name ranpo gave him and akutagawa seems oddly pleased w/ being called ryuunosuke so atsushi takes it as a win
I think it would be funny if everyone collectively just didnt care to change in to their work clothes for the plot of dead apple cause imagine Chuuya fighting that big ass dragon still in his dog themed pajama pants 🐶
what if because of Fyodors (possible or confirmed unsure) religious past and present, he thinks Atsushi isnt “man” enough due to his reaction to his offer to join the DOA, he see’s him more a “boy” and less than a “man” because he’s more emotional.
What if the orphanage told Atsushi that and that’s why he’s so insecure and why thinks he’s so weak, i believe there are SOME implications that the orphanage could’ve possibly been religious, and with how he was treated its possible they could’ve told him stuff like how he’s “not ready to be a man yet” because he’d was just a more emotional kid
okay thats it!! i’lll go back to drawing, #1 atsushi fan is leaving now
yet another chuuatsu crack-with-feelings idea
accidental fake date AU
We know from Kajii & Kyoka train ambush that Akutagawa was not the only one Mafia send on were-tiger bounty hunt. So, AU where Chuuya came back from abroad earlier and Mori gave him a go at capturing Atsushi.
And Chuuya of course would want to do it in full blazing glory of one-man front attack. Agency building is just arould the corner - when he stumbles over Atsushi coming home from work, literally walking into him.
Chuuya is taken aback with how polite, sweet and gorgeous Atsushi is - and how he senses no danger whatsoever. Now, the twistXD Chuuya thinks Dazai spilled the beans about every Mafia member' identity he knows, and after first attack Atsushi would be clued in, too. But - Agency is a beautiful mess, and no one gave Atsushi power point presentation yet. He has no idea he just crashed into Mafia Executive.
Chuuya thinks otherwise. This is Dazai protege after all, if he acts as if he doesn't know who Chuuya is that has to be on purpose, right? So he decides fine, this is a ploy of some sort. I'll play along, let's see what you've got. And he resumes the conversation as if they were just two people meeting by chance.
Chuuya tries a little flirting, simply to throw Atsushi off the game he thinks he's playing. But Atsushi just takes it as the truth. Bashful, yet so greedy for everything good in his life, and this graceful, fascinating man flirting with him? Even if its teasing, Atsushi responds. One thing to another, and Chuuya finds himself getting Atsushi on a date.
Fancy place of Chuuya's choice, of course, and he wishes Agency were-tiger would show his hand in this, finally, but he's just so earnest. For the first time in a restaurant like this, palpable awkwardness he tries to keep hidden, and Chuuya ought to revel in this, pick at this more to get him to break the charade, but damn it, he wants to put the guy at ease. Then the conversation, the way they fit - it plays better than it should, it just gets Chuuya deeper. He forgets at times this is work, and Atsushi is his mark who's pretending he doesn't know this, no matter how genuine feel his quiet smiles, his catching mix of self-deprecating remarks and sharp flashes of sass.
They stand at the pavement near the alley outside of restaurant when Mafia car is pulling up and Chuuya gets inside befoore reaching out to Atsushi. 'What are you doing?' Atsusghi asks, voice dropped almost to a whisper while he already takes the offered hand. And Chuuya has to fight trough his stolen breath, his missed heart beat while he feels Atsushi's trusting touch, how his pulse is quickened where the fingertips brush tender wrist skin right under the glove.
'Ah - Abducting you.'
The best performance of being sure and suave he ever gave. To match the portrayal of gentle naive he's been treated to.
Atsushi is pulled into the car with more force than both expected, falls over Chuuya and takes this as an invitation, gives in to a pull this man has over him already, captivating beyond anything he ever knew, Atsushi just - surges forward. The kiss is sudden, a little askew, open, lovely, giving - too good to be a lie. It gets Chuuya to melt for a second and then gets him angry. How can someone look and feel like this, this sincere, and be this shrewd at pretending?
Click if a switchblade ovening, cold under Atsushi's collarbone.
'You can drop the act now. I got you. What's the plan? Did that bandaged bastard replace the driver? Is he behind the fucking wheel - '
'W-what plan?'
The hurt, confusion - betrayal on Atsushi's face is too real. This has no point to be happening, Chuuya tries to re-evaluate everything but there was no way he really, truly didn't...
'Your Agency' plan to stop your abduction tonight?! The reason while you act all sweet as if you don't know I'm Mafia Executive.'
Now there's no confusion reflected in his chromatic eyes. Only hurt left, but then - anger, too, flurry, wounded.
'So... you played me? All this evening...'
Atsushi makes a move to break out of the car, and Chuuya darts to stop him, and now it's not even because he has to complete the mission, it's because realization sets it - he massively fucked all this up. But this is where the claws come out, because Atsushi really, really wants to get out of this car and away from this man. The car door is torn open, the brakes are hit, Mafia driver prays for his life - while Chuuya keeps pursuit through the streets, fresh scratches sting only adds up to the mix of feelings.
He was already half-taken by Atsushi's soft side, even when he thought it's played up. And now he knows it wasn't, and during the ensuing fight Chuulya just gets deeper into the trouble because now there's this thrill of unexpirienced but so strong and swift opponent. And deep under - the guilt because he wasn't honest with Atsushi, he was so sure he was the one being led on, he ignored everything that proved him wrong.
Maybe this is what does Chuuya in, really, when he lets Atsushi escape - not dealing much of damage beyond few bruises, and not really injured himself, either. He tells himself it was because they were fighting in living city area. He tells himself it was because it wasn't honest fight, anyway.
Maybe Chuuya can seizure the chance of rematch. Or better still, a chance to explain to Atsushi that awful, dumb misunderstanding.
All along I thought you knew who I was.
How would you look at me now when you do know?
Consider, Atsushi being transferred to the Port Mafia because there’s no one else around to go.
and so love has come to an end
idk why people photoshopped the crying cat meme on this pic when the unedited version is so powerful
