I remember first getting into f1 and the first things I learned about the drivers. I learned that Max Verstappen was the youngest driver to ever be in f1. I learned that Charles Leclerc has the longest contract in Ferrari history. And the first thing I learned about George Russell and Alex Albon is that one time they pushed their tiny beds together and gave each other a throat infection.

I often think about the time when I was like 12 years old on scratch the coding website. I was in a Hamilton (the musical) comment section and I was talking about how I shipped Alexander Hamilton and John Lawrence together (because I was 12.) and this other kid responded and was clearly shipping the actual actors together instead. And at the time I responded with “ewwwww why would you ship the actors?” I look back on that now with disappointment. I was not living up to my true rpf shipping potential. I was not matching this other 12 year olds freak. I think back and wonder how life could have been different if I instead responded with compassion and understanding. We could have been friends, if only I understood that engaging in modern day rpf instead of those old founding farts is far more fun. I understand now that we were not so different her and I. Anyway, all this to say I’m thrilled that the og cast is reuniting.

Searching for my mother among the rubble,

We slept in the open, waking every morning to a life that holds nothing for us,

But despite everything… we keep trying. 💪

To extend a hand that can mend what the war has broken in us.
