We’re playing tomb of annihilation, and we made it to the actual tomb. Galladin the Elven Druid, level NINE, used wild shape to turn into a fly to investigate a room up ahead. The DM described holes in the floor.
“I fly into one of the holes.” The holes were full of spiders. Not giant spiders. Just spiders. And they attacked. At one hit point, Galladin went down. He went out with a Nat 1 for his final death save. Rest in piece, you magnificent idiot.
As gen-AI becomes more normalized (Chappell Roan encouraging it, grifters on the rise, young artists using it), I wanna express how I will never turn to it because it fundamentally bores me to my core. There is no reason for me to want to use gen-AI because I will never want to give up my autonomy in creating art. I never want to become reliant on an inhuman object for expression, least of all if that object is created and controlled by tech companies. I draw not because I want a drawing but because I love the process of drawing. So even in a future where everyone’s accepted it, I’m never gonna sway on this.

The Balladin of Galladin:
The itsy bitsy spider Ate our Galladin He turned into a fly and Was never seen again In came the rest of us To investigate And the itsy-bitsy Galladin
Was on the spider’s plate!
We’re playing tomb of annihilation, and we made it to the actual tomb. Galadin the Elven Druid, level NINE, used wild shape to turn into a fly to investigate a room up ahead. The DM described holes in the floor.

Comfortable silence is a sign of being truly comfortable with someone. just being able to sit next to someone you care about and enjoy each others company is enough. You don’t have to say a word, and yet you grow closer together. It isn’t awkward or anxiety inducing. It’s just peaceful. It’s an experience everyone deserved to have.

Okay, so I am the DM, and what I ended up doing was saying that the warhammer strike popped the Orc’s back, causing him to feel younger than he had in years and healing him 2 points. Thanks for helping me though! I didn’t see that when I had done a frantic flip through the handbook!
My player’s wizard, having run out of spells, resorts to using the paladin’s warhammer. W: Will a 15 hit? Me: Roll damage W: 2. do I add anything? Me: Add your strength mod W: Thats… a -4 Me: …what? W: …what?
I genuinely don’t know what to do, PLEASE HELP I AM CONFUSED AND I DIDN’T SEE ANYTHING ABOUT THIS IN THE HANDBOOK!
