𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 is based on my desired reality, so it’s not going to be totally accurate to canon. The characters are probably going to be acting different, including looks. Some major changes you might worry about are …

GIRLY! PIPER MCLEAN. My personal rebellion against Rick writing Piper very anti-feminine is to make her the definition of girly. On the topic of toxic femininity, the whole aphrodite cabin is def getting their justice in this.  (ib by @thaliasthunder post)

POC DEMIGODS. I’m trying to put more poc rep in this since all the rep in canon is either stereotypical, or just forced. This includes a black annabeth, poc Percy, Asian Rachel, etc.

NEW RELATIONSHIPS. I’m not totally set on this, but I might write new couples in instead of the canon ones. Piper and jason seem so forced to be together, and the whole fic is going to be an x Percy so that leaves annabeth alone, and Leo doesn’t deserve to be the 7th wheel. Also Frank and Hazel just seem so… ew (the 3 year age gap is kinda gross.)

PERSONALITIES. This is kind of contradictory to what I wrote in the beginning, but the personalities of the characters r gonna be closer to the canon. To explain further, most people write the characters as to how they’re seen in fanon, they water down the characters. They make Percy/Leo to be stupid, or Annabeth to be cold, or Nico to be baby-ish.

ALL PERSPECTIVES. In this i’m going to try and include everyone’s thoughts, not in the way shown in canon, ex: entire chapters written from the view of one character. Its going to evenly mention each of the characters thoughts and opinions, as if the narrator could see inside each of their minds.

DESIGNS & APPEARANCES. i’m going to be making small changes in the characters designs. I swear it’s nothing drastic, just little adjustments here and there. Such as Piper having dyed hair, Leo wearing a headband (think reki from sk8), etc.

NEW CAMP HALF-BLOOD. Am i jealous of camp jupiter and new rome? yes. am i going to cope by copying them but doing it better? yes. I’m adding a new layout to camp half-blood, like bigger cabins (almost apartments), and new places. Ex; Demeter’s greenhouse, Athena’s library, Asteria’s Astronomy tower, etc.

THOUGHTS. This is like a part 2 to the pov’s, but i’m going to write the characters thoughts throughout dialogue, like what they wish they would say. Think Nana and Hachi’s “Remember when we met?” etc.

BACKSTORY/TEASER CHAPTER

You can still recall the day you two met so perfectly. When you were both 6, his mother invited yours over to dinner. When you arrived you were hiding behind your mother, being a shy child and much less open to meeting a new person.

“he doesn’t bite you know (name)?”

Your mother urged as she slightly nudged you away from hiding behind her. You could see the other kid in front of you. He was also glued to his mothers side. He looked up, as for permission to go say hi from his mom.

“Hi, i’m um Pj.”

“I’m (name).”

When the adults left the living room to do whatever in the kitchen, that left you alone, sitting on the ground in front of the couch. You took out this tiny little car toy you slipped in your pocket before leaving, when footsteps could be heard coming down from the stairs. It was Pj? That was his name right? He gently sat down next to you.

“you know, i have the green version of that car.”

“really?”

“yeah, wanna come see?”

He took your hand and led you up the stairs to his room, where he ran over to the little toy chest he had, and pulled out the green car. He also showed you some of his other toys, and you realized you weren’t all that nervous anymore.

When the night came to an end, you grabbed your sweater and were about to head out the door with your mom, when..

“(name)!”

You turned to see pj running down the stairs with something in his hand. “Here!” he held out his hand with a proud smile. It was his green car toy. “You can keep it!” In return, you pulled out the car toy you originally had and gave it to Pj. “Then you can have this one, okay?” you said, returning the smile. “Okay!”

And with that you left to go home.

You guys had been friends for 11 years. The news your mom had delivered to you was soul and heart crushing. You had to go. There was a better chance for you guys in London where they were shooting this movie, and they wanted you. They wouldn’t take no for an answer, it was inevitable. You had to move.

This was one of the only times ever that you had arrived at pj’s house with the feeling of your stomach sinking and your heart in your throat. And it got even worse when you saw his face. When you had to tell him that you were moving to another country. When you had to hug him for the last time. When you had to leave.

You got to the airport too soon. When all of you got out the car, you turned to look at Pj. “Hey, I’ll always have a part of you with me, okay?” you say, through a sniffle. Pulling your hand out of your pocket, you show a tiny, old, green toy car.

“You still have that?” he asked through quiet chuckles.

“Yeah”

“Well.. me too.” he bashfully admitted. He also pulled out a red toy car.

As a parting gift, before your final goodbye, he gave you a small bag. You felt something moving in the bag, and out popped the cutest dog there was. “Yeah, so maybe you could have a great last memory of us.” You pass the dog to your mother as you gave him a hug, wishing it would stay like that forever. You two hung onto each-other for dear life. But your flight was leaving soon. You never stopped hugging the dog on the way to your new home, or when you slept there for the first night, or whenever you missed your best friend.

It’d been about 9 months since you moved, and you couldn’t be more excited to go back and see everyone again. You brought along the dog that pj had gifted to you, which you had named Paul Anka. Funny. When you landed and finally gotten to Pj’s house, you gave his parents the greatest hugs you could give.

“You’ve already grown so big.!”

“It’s only been 9 months!” you chuckle. “So, Where’s Pj?” you say, the smile on your face growing slightly more excited. His mothers face grew fake as she walked towards the kitchen to prepare for what she was about to cook. “Um.. Well.. He wrote to you, didn’t he?” she asked with a slightly forced smile while grabbing a kitchen towel to wipe her hands. “No? What’s wrong?” Your question came laced with nervous smiles and chuckles. His mother came to a stop.

“(name), baby, uh. Pj already left to LA. Now i don’t know why he didn’t want me to tell you but i could’ve sworn he wrote about it in his letters..”

Her words got drowned out as you tried to figure out why he didn’t want you to find out. Did you say something? No, you two haven’t talked…

What happened?

Why would he just leave you?

He didn’t. even. write.

12 years. 12 years.. 12 years since all this shit happened. And you still couldn’t quite let go. You were finally returning home and with the thoughts and memories of a faded friend storming your head, you held onto Paul Anka slightly tighter. You fiddled with the little green toy car in your pocket, still having it after all these years. The slight thought of even trying to get back in touch with Pj crossed your mind, but it definitely wasn’t going to work any way that you could attempt.

You still called with his parents, them being a huge part of your life and all. Sometimes, rarely ever, you could hear Pj’s voice in the background. Even if he was technically older than you by a month, you couldn’t help but be emotionally proud of how his voice had grown. The number of times you tried to think how he looked now..

Now back home you try to make light of it as you look out the car window on the ride from the airport. It’s a good shot, might as well.

𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐖 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐊𝐄𝐘𝐒 onto the side table next to the door as you drag yourself to the couch and plop down, getting comfy. As you snuggle against the comforting couch, you pull out your phone to look through instagram and check on what your friends have been doing.

With your name, you could go anywhere right now. With anyone you wanted. You could get into any club. Hell, you could even buy the club. But you found the comfort of your own apartment in L.A. more comforting than that knowledge.

bzzz. bzzz. bzzz. oh crap. who’s calling now?

you pick up the phone as you begrudgingly get up from you comfy spot to go to the kitchen.

“dude! where are youuu?!!”

it was your cousin, flint, you could practically hear the alcohol in his voice.

“huh?”

“where. are. youuuuuuuu??”

“home, why? i just got here.” you say as you lean against the counter, continuing to scroll through social media.

you immediately go to his instagram profile and see he’s already posted some drunk selfies at the bar.

That’s right. One of your movies did surprisingly well in the box office and your cousin thought that it called for a celebration. He told you earlier this week that he already had the bar rented out but some assholes rented it too, meaning you have to share it with some strangers. But it’s whatever, in his words.

“rightt. sorry. uhm..”

“no you can’t skip on this.”

“okay fine. i’ll be there in like 30-ish minutes?”

“as long as you’re heerreee!!”

And with that you hung up and re-considered your life decisions as it took you 15 minutes to get up. You grabbed your keys again with a sigh and closed your door.

When you got to the bar you really contemplated leaving as you couldn’t take your hands off the wheel and eyes off the neon signs decorating the windows of the bar. You could always say there was an emergency.. You reached for your phone to message your cousin,

“Hey!”

“OH MY GOD”

Your cousin threw his head back in laughter as you had to restrain yourself from hitting him.

“You scared the shit out of me! What are you doing?”

“Waiting for you!! Cmon, there’s people waiting for you!”

He opened the door to your car and dragged you out. the whole walk across the parking lot was just you trying to get him to release you but you knew your inevitable doom of having to say hi to multiple people and actually socialize.

“Everyone! hereeeessss (name)!”

You wave an awkward hi to the crowd in front of you with a sheepish smile. Almost instantly, everyone cheered. And then again almost instantly everyone went back to what they were doing. Except for a few people who came up to congratulate you.

Your cousin let you go from under his arm to go do his own thing. You didn’t know where to go from there so you just went to the nearest seat and

Someone tapped your shoulder. “Hey!” Oh no..

You turn around just to find out it was your other cousin, Angela. “Oh hey Angela. Nice to see you again.” you greet her with a smile. “Hey (name)!” she responds with the same smile. “So i see Flint has already traded you in for some drinks?” she asks with a smirk. You didn’t even have to respond to get her an answer. A quick shake of the head and a chuckle did it. She was called over by some other friends that were invited and that left you alone once again.

You go back to your phone, opening up instagram and refreshing your page. And on great timing, you saw Angela’s new post.

You look up to see Flint coming up to you. “(nameeeee) come meet my new friends!!” he managed to slur out as he tugged on your arm. You looked around to try and find Angela for help, but Flint was already pulling you out of your chair.

Flint dragged you all the way across the bar and around some corners all against your will until you finally managed to wriggle yourself out of his grip.

“Dude i don’t even know these people!”

“Oh no, Actually, you kinda do.!” he said between giggles.

“What?”

“Remember those dicks who rented out the other half of the bar??”

“Turns out they’re not such dicks after all!”

This time he motioned for you to follow him and you willingly followed. He brought you to one of the farther corners, where the pool table was. His presence caught the attention of one of the guys there. He turned around with a smile that meant nothing other than trouble on his face.

“Hey dude! Thought we lost you!” he had a surprisingly rasp voice.

Flint turned to you, “(name), let me introduce you to my good friend,”

He put a hand on the guys shoulder, “Steve-O!”

“C’mon Bam!” you whine as you tug on your boyfriend’s arm. You were basically dragging him up the stairs to the museum in front of you. It was a cute date idea, and for once, bam complied with it. “Okay, okay!” he said through light chuckles. It was mostly empty when you entered, so no one was really bothered when they heard the stupid giggles of you and Bam.

Even when you guys got to the exhibit you wanted to see and didn’t have to drag bam anymore, you didn’t stop holding his hand. You drew light circles on his hand with your thumb as your fingers linked together, with you pointing out each interesting thing about what you two were looking at and explaining it to him. And every once in a while, you’d whisper it into his ear, for you knew it tickled him, and you two would share sweet giggles in that moment.

Once you guys were done with looking around the room and started to walk out, your eyes were still looking at everything you could, taking it all in. Bam noticed this with the signature glint of mischief in his eyes. Before you guys got even 3 feet near the exit of this exhibit, he pulled your arm and started running in the hallway to the next one.

Eventually, you guys found an empty hallway, with absolutely no-one in sight. And with Bam being Bam, he insisted on taking his shoes off and sliding across the smooth wood with you catching him. He knocked into you with so much force, you two hit the wall. But that didn’t matter. You two were laughing as hard as you could while you slid down the wall.

What you both didn’t notice though, was that with the loud thud and maniac laughter, you attracted a guard. So as soon as you heard heavy footsteps, you and Bam ran while you could as he hurriedly grabbed his shoes. While running Bam saw an interesting exhibit and saw it as an opportunity to hide. As you guys inspected everything your eyes could take in, you both made a mutual decision that it was best to go to one last room before leaving. Or making a run for it as Bam put it.

You made your way to your last exhibit, looking at everything you could. You and bam both came to a stop and leaned against one of the walls, just for a little rest. You feel bam rest his head against your shoulder. You ever so gently look over at him, like if you moved too fast, he’d disappear. When you look at him, there’s nothing but true love in your eyes. You slightly smile as you softly kiss his head, and then rest your head on-top of his with your arm around him.
