A strict sigh slipped past thinned lip-line. She did it again.

“ You listened didn't you, ” instead of questioning, it sounded like stating fact, “ then you should know the reason behind my concern. You skipped a lesson, again! ” For a fatherly figure, who had tendencies to argue theatrically, James was unmistakably the one who seemed his like if he was close to screech any minute but at the same time not and would turn it into a laugh instead. “ And why must I be the one who has to figure it out from one of your teachers?? ”

ㅤPotter's digits twitched at his side by pure instinct from the obsolete urge to reach for the wand. Mildly impressed by Slytherin's boldness to just appear near him like that, ( almost sounding as if he would lecture him) was enough to replace the primal instinct with an entertained chortle, whilst facing his direction at a slow pace. ㅤBit by bit — the aspiring cheshire grin directed Snape's way. Why is it his presence grated Potter's nerves to no end, and this day wasn't an exception? ㅤA click of his tongue, “ Not, of course. Where things need to be fixed there I am, speaking of which. Quite a while passed and I don't recall spotting in you a hint of 𝑮𝑹𝑨𝑻𝑰𝑻𝑼𝑫𝑬 from not being 'almost-torn-apart'. ” He did not wait for Dungeon Bat to digest this information. A brisk step forward was made in no time with following action that came too sudden and unannounced. Finger pressed warningly right in the center of Snape's clothed pectorals, and the pressure from the impact was far from being called comfortable. Arrogantly dismissive as one seemed to be at Severus' words, far to grant it any real acknowledgment. ㅤ Potter's keen thirst for adventures proved to show in the worst images possible where he wouldn't shy himself from getting physical. This time, however, his behavior had quite a different meaning. What resonated from within the glass-framed optics lidded in scowl was a pure warning. Knowing James' explosive temper, he invested quite an admirable effort to keep his tone steady and this information separated from the curious ears of other students. Which means — he wanted this to stay just between two of them. ㅤHe started with a calm intonation at first. Lacking daggers between words like he normally would.

ㅤ “ If I'll catch you again ... spying, like previously, ” James' voice dropped an octave in threatening tune, as his vocals gradually raised to the point where he couldn't stress enough what fell out of his mouth, “ you'll be the one who will have a 𝐂𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐒. Just a friendly reminder, if you ever decide next time to sneak around, Snivy! ”

The implication was clear here, that fateful night Severus almost died if it paradoxically wasn't Potter saving his skin from Remus. That day, two lives were saved, and that secret better not spill; e v e r .
