Greek mythology from A to Z:
[M] - Medusa (Μέδουσα) was one of the three Gorgons, daughters of Phorcys and Ceto. A beautiful mortal, Medusa was the exception in the family, until she incurred the wrath of Athena, either due to her boastfulness or because of an ill-fated love affair with Poseidon. Transformed into a vicious monster with snakes for hair, she was killed by Perseus, who afterward used her still potent head as a weapon, before gifting it to Athena.

Nestor after returning to his homeland after the Trojan war
Hello, yes. After a year without uploading and in, what I feel, one of the weirdest ‘fandom’ twists, I’ve gone from obsessing over 80s musicals about anthropomorphic cats and trains to being obsessed with ancient books and plays. What can I say, the duality of man. (not that the cats and trains are fully gone, they never will).
Anyways, this low effort meme I made way to late at night is my application form to my fellow mythology and epic cycle girlies.
Telemachus: And then, I went to Sparta and met your best friend-
Odysseus: Diomedes was in Sparta?
Telemachus: No, your other best friend.
Odysseus: Agamemnon’s ghost?
Telemachus: No, his brother-
Odysseus: Castor? That’s Agamemnon’s brother in law silly.
Telemachus: No, the person you went to Troy for.
Odysseus: Aw, Helen said we were best friends? That’s sweet.
Telemachus: No, her husband.
Odysseus: I always knew Paris liked me deep-down.
Norse mythology from A to Z:
[T] - Týr is a war god, but also the god who, more than any other, presides over matters of law and justice.
Deimos:(gleefully) A hit, eh? You want us to make em suffer? Or just end it, quick and quiet-like?
Zeus:Nah, nothin' permanent... just, like, give him a little taste of fear. I guess you can break something small... like a toe...
Deimos: We can take out his tongue..
Phobos:(with relish) With a knife!
Deimos:Or remove his heart...
Phobos:(with great relish) Yeah, with a knife!
Deimos:A bigger knife!
Phobos:(with greater relish) Fucking knife!
Zeus:(a touch uneasy) Yeeeeahhhhhhh.... you guys....are....kinda creepy. I think this may be a stupid idea. Hey, Ares, do you want to call the spooky twins home before I throw them there?
Ares: Come boys....
Phobos and Deimos: (Slinks away creepily)
Norse mythology from A to Z:
[N] - Nótt - is night personified, one of the first giants, grandmother of Thor.
Norse mythology from A to Z:
[V] - Vǫrðr is a warden spirit, believed to follow from birth to death the soul (hugr) of every person.
A wild Artemis and Apollo appear. 🌿
I wanted to depict them before their debut on Olympus. If I could go back I would redraw them with more animal skins in their clothing to really add that touch of wildness... but ah well, there's always next time.
