Below are 10 things to know about this astronomical event, including where to see it, why it turns the Moon into a deep red color and more…

1. First things first. What’s the difference between solar and lunar eclipses? We’ve got the quick and easy explanation in this video:

2. Location, location, location. What you see will depend on where you are. The total lunar eclipse will favor the western U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, and British Columbia on Jan. 31. Australia and the Pacific Ocean are also well placed to see a major portion of the eclipse, if not all of it.

3. Color play. So, why does the Moon turn red during a lunar eclipse? Here’s your answer:

4. Scientists, stand by. What science can be done during a lunar eclipse? Find out HERE.

5. Show and tell. What would Earth look like from the Moon during a lunar eclipse? See for yourself with this artist’s concept HERE.

6. Ask me anything. Mark your calendars to learn more about the Moon during our our Reddit AMA happening Monday, Jan. 29, from 3-4 pm EST/12-1 pm PST.

Then, jot down notes and record your own illustrations of the Moon with a Moon observation journal, available to download and print from moon.nasa.gov.

9. Lesson learned. For educators, pique your students’ curiosities about the lunar eclipse with this Teachable Moment HERE.

10. Coming attraction. There will be one more lunar eclipse this year on July 27, 2018. But you might need your passport—it will only be visible from central Africa and central Asia. The next lunar eclipse that can be seen all over the U.S. will be on Jan. 21, 2019. It won’t be a blue moon, but it will be a supermoon.

My Application Proccess in Emirates – Assessment Day

So after you pass your Open Day, you get a call from EK Recruiter to come for the next day.

I got my call rather late around 4 pm and by that time I was losing hope… When my phone rang, I was shocked and I started jumping around :)

When I went again to hotel for the assessment day, I saw that only 32 people out of 200 made it into Assessment Day.

So Here is What Happens in Assessment Day

Part 1

They made 2 groups of 16 people. We were given each reference numbers (remember this number you will need on later stages)

With my group we all sat down in a circle. The recruiter handed us pictures of the objects and I paired up with the person sitting next to me. We had to come up with a different usage of the objects. We got umbrella. So we discussed it between us and each one of us came up with her own idea which we were going to present to the others. I thought we can use umbrella as motion picture gadget (it is little bit silly, I know) so you put pictures on umbrella, like they draw cartoons, slightly different motions and when you roll the umbrella, the picture would be in motion.  :) I think the recruiter found it creative and my friend said that we can use it as Emirates logo , we could put pictures of Emirates cabin crew; each from a different culture on the umbrella. Unfortunately, she couldn’t pass this stage.

Also in this stage we did a height test. So you need to have an arm reach of 212 cm.  (Last time I  checked I was around 164 cm, I was most nervous of this stage but I passed it. Even I was above 10 cm of the tape line and I didn’t had to stand on my tip toes. Before measuring I told the recruiter that I am afraid even she was laughing at me when I passed it (I guess my arms are quite long!) :)

WHY they do it? You will need to close the over-head compartments in the bigger planes and be able to access the emergency equipment that is sometimes located in there.

HOW  they do it? Take a measuring tape and put a mark on the wall next to 212 cm. Without shoes – you may get on your tip toes if necessary, you will need to touch the mark. No jumping to reach it is allowed. A person who is 160 cm  should be able to have an arm-reach of 212 cm without problems.

After this stage you go out and the next group comes in, you will be waiting around an hour to learn about the results. If you are successful you get a letter like this: (My heart was beating like crazy when I opened mine and when I read the Thank you bla bla part at the beginning I thought I was eliminated already :D)

Part 2 & 3

After the first part around 8 people were eliminated. So now we were around 24 people.

In the part 2, if you are native language is not English, then you need to take the English Test. It is fairly easy, no essay, just multiple choice exam. Only one girl failed at this stage.

Part 3 was the most challenging one. You are in group of 8 people. And you are each given a paper, on the paper it says; you are a General Manager of a hotel and all of your rooms are full except 2 rooms. 8 people have reservation for the hotel. You can only choose two out of this 8.(some of the people were; general manager, loyal customers, travel writer…) You are given 15 min to discuss who to choose among this 8 people. This stage was stressful, because you have to speak up and at the same time not overshadow other people around you. Some people will try to lead the conversation and may not give you a chance to tell your ideas. So be careful with it :)

After this we had a role play with the recruiter. She was the angry customer and we were the general managers. So she asked if anyone wanted to volunteer, no one did and I felt like I should raise my hand (I had no idea how angry she could get :D) So in this stage, you have to keep calm and try to find a solution for the problem by offering her something extra (you may say; you can use our facilities for free or we will provide you a voucher on your next vacation etc.) and you need to offer another place in an another hotel.

After this stage, we were given again the papers “congratulations or unfortunately”. So at the end we were 16 girls left. We had to fill in some documents before our Final Interview. We had to declare which languages we speak and that  we don’t have tattoos in visible places. On the end, they sent us online psychometric test that we had to do before our Final interview

After all this, I was scheduled to have my Final Interview the next day.

How to feel again

Walk barefoot in the grass, remember the way this feels. Now put your shoes back on, you do not want the thing to touch your toes.

Go outside in the dark, scream at the moon. She is listening, it is okay.

Allow her to comfort you, she means well.

If you hear other people screaming, do not fret, they are just as apathetic as you, let them feel.

If an elderly woman comes and stands near you, thank her. Listen to what she has to say, she knows best.

If you see an animal that does not belong, leave. Go home, and sit in a room in the dark. If you don’t, go home and have a good night’s sleep

Do not fall asleep.

If you hear whispers, it is okay.

Remember rule number 7 and 10. Leave at sunrise. Lock the door behind you. Feel.

30 ‘Cachette Of The Priests’ Mummies Discovered In Egypt

30 ‘Cachette of the Priests’ Mummies Discovered in Egypt

Archaeologists have unearthed 30 sealed wooden coffins with mummies inside at “El-Assasif,” an ancient necropolis near Luxor, Egypt, Egypt’s Ministry of Antiquities announced this morning (Oct. 19) at a press conference.

Called the “cachette of the priests” because some of the mummies appear to be those of ancient Egyptian priests, the coffins date back about 3,000 years.

Vividly colored paintings on the coffins are so well-preserved one can make out the complex patterns, Egyptian deities and hieroglyphic writing they depict. When discovered, the coffins were arranged in two layers, with 18 coffins on the top layer and 12 coffins on the bottom layer, said Mostafa Waziri, the general secretary of Egypt’s Supreme Council of Antiquities, who is leading work at El-Assasif. What to do this super blue blood moon!

What To Do This Super Blue Blood Moon!

So pretty much every witch has been talking about this rare occurrence, with a pretty confusing name, and so lots of people don’t know what to do on January 31st (night of the full moon)

So what can I do?

Well first thing is to learn the correspondences

Super moon

This moon will have a strong effect on your personal power, as the moon is closer to earth creating a stronger gravitational pull.

Blue moon

The second full moon in a month. It enhances the connection between the realms (or in my belief the 9 worlds) and any spell work done has long-term effects

Blood moon

A lunar eclipse, an excellent time to welcome new beginnings or to let go of old feelings or unwanted items

* Now depending on where you live the moon falls on Wednesday which is a good day for creativity and change *

But what can I do?

⭐ Curses, specifically trump. Always trump

⭐ Long term spells, Money, Love, ect.

⭐ Cleanse your crystals

⭐ Perform a blessing or ritual

⭐ Dedicate the night to a deity or nature

⭐ Make an offering

⭐Meditation

⭐ Collect moon water

⭐ Scrying (or other forms of divination)

⭐ Kitchen Magick (create a soup or pie for dinner 😊)

These are just a few ideas, please feel free to tell me your own

Supermoon Uses

Since there will be a supermoon tonight (Dec 3rd 2017) I figured I would make a helpful post for you all.

What is a supermoon? A supermoon happens when there’s a Full Moon or New Moon at the same time as the Moon’s closest approach to the Earth; perigee. It’s also known as Super Full Moon, Super New Moon and Perigee Moon.

Supermoon Uses

There is a huge increase in the moons energy allowing for a heightened ability to cast a spell that will come to fruition.

It’s a good time to pull out the spells that mean the most to you; the ones you really want to work

A full moon is always a powerful time for meditation, energy healing, and recharging your energy field and chakras. The full moon shines down so much pure energy that anything it touches can’t help but feel its radiance and love. The supermoon effect amplifies that power and makes it even stronger.

Supermoon Uses

Some things you can do to make use of this time.

1. Get in Touch With Your Emotions- Emotions are more easily accessible during this time making it simpler to acknowledge and release them. Express your inner truths and feelings, write down your intentions.

2. Take a Moon Bath – Spend time under the moon bathing in its light. Steep your body and spirit in purifying light, wash away negativity and leave yourself fresh and renewed.

3. Manifest Your Desires - Spend some time picturing your life as you wish it to be. What are your intentions? The full moon will magnify any energy you send out, and help guide it into the welcoming embrace of the universe.

4. Release Negativity - The moon can reach the deepest parts of your soul and pull out the things you’ve been hiding or trying to ignore. The moon illuminates any negative emotions.

5. Be Creative - The full moon is the time to do whatever creative activity makes you feel joyful!

6. Boost Your Feminine Energy - Women, take note: you in particular need the feminine lunar energy of the moon in order to keep your energy field vibrant and strong. This is not to discount the guys, because they need feminine energy as well—remember everything is about balance—but the female energy of the moon is essential for women to maintain the health of their field.

It’s the perfect time of year for this to happen, if used correctly this moon has the potential to set up your new year to be the best in a long time.
