I love it when the Losers make Richie to keep watch for Beverly's dad when she shows them the bathroom.

That kid has ADHD and doesn't know how to shut the fuck up, let alone wait patiently.

You just know he was out there kicking rocks and spinning in circles while probably either talking to himself or acting out some sort of scene with the different accents/voices he does.

Okay with how stressful the situation the day has been by no means think the Losers would’ve laughed at Richie’s impression of Pennywise in the clubhouse in Chapter 2

However…

I do believe after Bill says Beep Beep Richie and he says sorry, Eddie turns and whispers to him “…why was that impression so good?” And Richie’s like “don’t know what you mean? Have I not proven myself a fantastic comedian and impressionist on Netflix-” and Eddie’s like “Oh shut your grandstanding ass up, there’s no way you just do those voices on your first try, which means…”

And Richie refuses to look at Eddie as he gasps

“… Did you fucking practice imitating Pennywise after we first fought him?…”

“NO!- Uh no no not at all no I’m just a good impressionist-”

And the others clock onto the convo similarly horrified with Ben like “Fucking hell, Richie, why?! Were you not traumatised like the rest of us?”

And Bev is like “I’m pretty sure I accidentally punched a clown at the Derry fair shortly after just cause of the facepaint!”

And Bill is like deadpan “Have you no shame…”

And Mike is just horrified

And Richie then has to explain that one of the weird ways he coped with his trauma was by learning to do impressions of Pennywise and making him say stupid shit to convince himself that if Pennywise was really around and watching, that it’d kill him for saying it in the first place and his continuing to live afterwards was like proof it was okay.

“Besides… I think you underestimate the comedic value of hearing Pennywise call himself a dumb bitch for getting his ass kicked by a bunch of outcast kids,” and in his best Pennywise voice continues “Cause life is kicking those kids asses better than me and it feels like a real low point in my career…”

And the Losers are deadpan apart from Eddie, who despite desperately trying to hold in a laugh, snorts

Mike turns to Eddie and is like “Pennywise has killed people, Eddie, come on”

“Eddie, they kicked me out of the American Clown Union…” A few of the Losers, including Mike also begin to have amused grins. “It wasn’t even for killing kids. It's cause they thought my face paint looked like I had a dick and balls on my face…”

Eddie’s fucking crying with laughter

“I mean that and the embezzlement…”

Stan is not at all amused by this particular impression once he arrives in the cavern in the nick of time but it has to be said that there is something a little cathartic about listening to Pennywise get roasted by its own voice

I’m gonna be so pissed the fuck off if Welcome To Derry gives us another band of kids who fight back against It and come close to killing It/manage to harm It like no the whole fucking point is these kids die alone and helpless and get lost to time and the world moves on and forgets and it’s horrible and tragic and unfair. It’s a cycle broken by the loser’s club and them only. That’s a massively important aspect of the story.

“Why didn’t bill wanna believe Georgie was dead!!🤬🤬”

In the books Bill was 10 when Georgie went “missing”. After that his parents never talked to him or even looked at him. They never talked at the dinner, I think they even didn’t had the dinner together, but I might remember wrong, they never said goodnight to each other anymore. And then he went to the losers built and shouted into the forest that they are wrong, that he’ll find Georgie and they all took it out on him for no reason. He just thought that if he could bring back Georgie his parents would love him again.

I’m sobbing every time I think of this.

Let’s add his survivor guilt about Georgie and I’m on the floor with tears

Au head cannon thingy? Honestly i'm not quite sure what to call this, but imagine if Georgie and Henry just had this really weird rivalry going on for no reason. How these two even met at all is beyond me, but this 7 year old and 15 year old have an unreal amount of beef with each other and it's over the dumbest shit. Georgie is too young to really grasp how dangerous henry is so he's absolutely not afraid of him and Henry is so emotionally immature and full of anger he cannot possibly grasp the concept of "pick your battles".

Henry will run into georgie while he's playing outside and Georgie will call him a butthead or something and Henry will get SO fucking heated for absolutely NO reason. He can't even do his usual bullying shit and attack him because knifing up seven year olds is not exactly something you can easily get away with, even in a shithole town like Derry. Still, Georgie is driving him insane, and all his insults are the most simple childish bullshit ever like "You're ugly, and weird and I don't like you. Stay away from my family." And it'll make Henry so mad he gets red in the face.

Eventually Henry gets so angry he goes to threaten Bill over it and that conversation goes just fantastic. "YOUR BROTHER IS RUINING MY LIFE!" "Wha?? You mean Georgie?" "YES! HES HARRASSING ME!" "-_- Henry... he's seven." "so???" "So he hasn't even figured out how division works yet, Henry! Why are you fighting with some one who just learned about verbs?" "I DONT CARE HE MAKES ME FEEL SELFCONCIOUS!".
