I saw this and all I could think of was Darrel Curtis and his future newborn daughter (because he screams girl dad)
Y’all tell me is this Darrel x OC fanfic I’m drafting up rn sounds weird (If you’ve seen my earlier post about my two outsiders OCs, it Kitty Lebeau but Ladybird also makes many appearances)
So this is the Wattpad summary (I can’t figure out how to make a Ao3 account)
Kathrine "Kitty" Lebeau was the cheerleader Queen of the Socs from the moment she arrived to Tulsa from Montgomery, Alabama. Darrel Curtis was the footballer greaser who always hung around socs who was on his way out of Tulsa. It's too cliché, ain't it?
Is it too cringey?
It’s taking place between the years 1959-1963, using the year that the book is set in not the musical. These years would be the years that both Kitty and Darry were in High School.
This would also tell the story of the girl Pony was talking about during the drive-in, the girl who got shot, Nancy Adderson (Randy’s older sister) and Kitty’s bff.
This is a character board I’ve made for Kitty but it’s more High School years than adult Kitty.
Rachel Zegler as Evita aka Lucy Gray Baird as the First Lady of Panem
Ladybird Curtis was first annoyed and, if she’s being honest, scared of the rough boy from New York. Until, he one day saved her from a pack of hungry socs when they were 15, then? Ladybird Curtis fell hopelessly in love with Dallas Winston.
Dallas Winston was first intrigued by the doll-like girl, the girl who could spills lies left and right with everyone taking it as truth when they were so obviously lies. Until, she one day bailed him out of jail when they were 13, then? Dallas Winston fell hopelessly in love with Ladybird Curtis.
But Dallas Winston wasn’t made to love, so, he ignored it, suppressed it, thought that there was no way somebody so perfect could love him. Until? Ladybird chased him down after Johnny’s death and begged him to stay with her. Then? Dallas Winston never left his Lady’s side again
Before Bev, Marcia and Cherry, there was…
Sarah Darling Nancy Adderson Kitty Lebeau
1 would leave Tulsa and never return
1 would marry the soc’s sworn enemy
1 would become the drive in’s biggest cautionary tale
A captain is never complete without her two co-captains.
I might revamp ‘It’s too Cliché’ for this, what would y’all think of that?
I’m writing this book rn about two Actress sisters in the late 70s through early 90s, and here’s the first line in the book.
A child never asks to be born…the mother does, hopefully because the mother loves her child, like how Caroline loved Evangeline. But as Celeste stared down the barrel of her mother’s gun, she suspected her mother had different reasons. Why did this happen? Was it because Caroline told her she wanted to take a break from acting? Or was it because Celeste told her that she was in love with a woman? All she knew was Carmen Rochester would go down in history as the woman who killed her two daughters for saying no.
