Did anyone else think about how much pain atsushi would have been just from people yelling at him? House cats and especially big cats have very good hearing like better than a dog's hearing. So not only would have he been hit and physically abused his ears would have probably been in so much pain from all of them yelling at him all at once and his enhanced senses kicking it up a notch. You know what would be an amazingly angsty idea? Byakko thinking Atsushi is unworthy of them, but instead of the "he's weak" kind of way, it being "he's unworthy of me because I don't want to see him suffer." Byakko's existence puts their user at risk, forcing them to forever struggle and bear enormous responsibility—a destiny they did not ask for. It would also be amazing if the story were from Byakko's perspective, with them always trying to ensure Atsushi survives, constantly watching, but at the same time, not being able to do anything to stop his suffering, no matter how much they would wish to.

•One time Kunikida arrived at the agency(He’s usually the first one there, only to find Atsushi there already started on work) Kunikida was very proud of him and pat his head

•Yosano made it her goal to get Atsushi to stop apologizing for everything, every time he does, she will stare at him until he takes it back

•Kunikida teaches Atsushi math whenever they have time

•Atsushi can only get drunk/high if something has catnip in it

•After Shibusawas murder, the headmaster fed Atsushi bits of his body. Atsushi was confused at the fact he was given more to eat and more often. He thought that he finally earned his right to live. He is completely unaware that he did this
