Not too long ago I wrote a ramble about galaxies

I think In a different world I did major in astrophysics

In a different world my surface curiosity was a deep seeded passion

I searched the galaxies for answered to the future and found them

Im my life as Nova Rose Greene

I discovered 12 moons floating in our new galaxy

I found 1 planet

And I named it Waytoz

not for anything specific

But because it sounded good

I also discovered many many black holes

It’s my specialty

I’m the black space lady

I’m the one who made it possible for us to touch stars

I’m the one who paved the way for humans to exist beyond our current ways

I Allowed us to observe parts of the universe we knew nothing about

I pointed us in the right direction

And In another life

It makes the difference

In another life many many young women take to the stars

Many young women travel beyond their blocks, their states, their countries, their worlds

Many young people dream of infinite possibilities

And space gave them the opportunity to discover Beyond the infinite

If we can cancel Artist then we can cancel the N-word

Cancel culture is toxic in a sense that it doesn’t allow room for evaluation and growth.

But when it comes to the N word

I’m on team cancel it

I get the reclamation of the narrative and choosing how you want to change the power of words.

But in doing so you are separating the word from its maker.

If we can’t play Step In the Name of Love at a cookout

Then why should we continue to call black people by a name that wasn’t born with us but weaponized against us?

Now if there is a way to change the mind of the maker and watch as they develop into something more fruitful,

Then I think with growth comes rebirth

You shed your former layers and embrace new ones

You don’t put glitter on your old skin and slip it back on.

You rock the new one

Why can’t we use new words to describe the people of the diaspora

Why can’t we wear new names that we choose to glorify us?

Why must we try to force ourselves into last centuries terms

When everyday we choose new paths

New labels

New brands

New names

And all for the better

If something’s not right in cancel culture we cut it

But for some reason we can’t cut the N word

If cancel culture can reach back in time and take away St.Patricks Day, R.Kelly, and Gucci

Then it can cut, the N-Word

A Diasporic Queen

We gotta push for the betterment of humanity. We have to push for humans to be treated as humans.

UPDATES ON AMAZON PRIME STRIKE AND PRIME DAY!

The basics:

Thousands of workers in Spain, Germany and the US have been striking leading up to and on Prime Day, Amazon’s biggest sale, calling for better working conditions, pay and health benefits.

Nearly 1,800 Amazon workers (96% of the workers at the San Fernando warehouse) in Spain went on strike Monday during Prime Day, the company’s biggest sales day of the year

Thousands more Amazon employees in Germany are expected to walk off the job Tuesday, the second day of the sale in six warehouses.

 Amazon’s website and mobile app crashed for about 45 minutes, due to a computer glitch – the most widespread to date, costing Amazon millions of dollars

In the US, advocacy groups are planning several consumer rallies outside Amazon-owned Whole Foods Market locations to protest the sale of Nazi, Confederate and white nationalist merchandise through Amazon’s marketplace of third-party sellers. 

Amazon is still expected to profit more this year than last year. Let’s hope we can keep spreading the word about the boycott and prove them wrong. Spain’s strike is supposed to last through the 18th, so keep boycotting

I sat through a class today where the teacher said,

Discrimination happens. I’m not gonna sit and pretend it doesn’t. But also sometimes you have to decide personally when to speak up and when to ignore it because your here to do your job and you can sit and take the nonsense .

I disagree.

If there’s nonsense then it needs to be stopped.

If there’s discrimination of any kind to any degree, it needs to be acknowledged, addressed, and put to rest.

If you have to walk away from 100 jobs because they’d rather have someone who will sit and take it instead of your courageous and worthy work, then you have to walk away.

In walking away you turn tides.

No walking away you leave your imprint.

Who cares if you can take a punch and keep walking

You don’t have to.

You don’t have to let the next person take it.

If you walk away do it with an impact.

Make it known why you walked away.

Let other people know why you walked away.

If they didn’t correct themselves and try it again, that’s up to the next ones to work out.

But love yourself

God will provide

His will is for you to have the best.

You don’t need to push through if you don’t have to.

You’re a human

And if someone can’t see that, or won’t act like it

They don’t deserve you, your time, your energy, or your work.
