Cancel culture is toxic in a sense that it doesn’t allow room for evaluation and growth.
But when it comes to the N word
I’m on team cancel it
I get the reclamation of the narrative and choosing how you want to change the power of words.
But in doing so you are separating the word from its maker.
If we can’t play Step In the Name of Love at a cookout
Then why should we continue to call black people by a name that wasn’t born with us but weaponized against us?
Now if there is a way to change the mind of the maker and watch as they develop into something more fruitful,
Then I think with growth comes rebirth
You shed your former layers and embrace new ones
You don’t put glitter on your old skin and slip it back on.
You rock the new one
Why can’t we use new words to describe the people of the diaspora
Why can’t we wear new names that we choose to glorify us?
Why must we try to force ourselves into last centuries terms
When everyday we choose new paths
New labels
New brands
New names
And all for the better
If something’s not right in cancel culture we cut it
But for some reason we can’t cut the N word
If cancel culture can reach back in time and take away St.Patricks Day, R.Kelly, and Gucci
Then it can cut, the N-Word

With love
A Diasporic Queen
This was beautiful
40 years of hip hop culture in 2 minutes.
Only you can love you like you
Only you know what you need to hear
Sure it would be nice if someone else held your hand
If someone held you tight
If you didn’t have to cry from feeling alone
Because you weren’t
But you can be there for you
When you cry
Pick your head up
You can talk yourself up
Tell yourself to get up
You can do it
You can
By yourself
Love yourself like no one else
Love yourself more then a basic person could
Love yourself
Take care of yourself
Love yourself
Take care of yourself
Listen to yourself
Trust yourself
Listen to yourself
Trust yourself
Listen to yourself
Trust yourself
Listen when yourself says pick up this book
Pick up this paint brush
Pick up your head
Lift your voice
Focus
Be quiet
Stretch
Breathe
Breathe
Breathe
Breathe
It’s okay
Breathe
Breathe
Breathe
Youre here
Youre meant to be here
You have a purpose to fulfill
You will be rewarded
It’s okay
Just breathe
Just listen
This moment will pass
You can find peace in this moment
You can be at peace
This moment will pass
You will be at peace
Breathe
Breathe
Breathe
Listen yourself
Only you can love you like you
Only you know what you need
Breathe
I love you
I love you
I love you
I love you
I will care for you
I will make sure you’re okay
I will make sure nothing happens to you
I love you
Glad we’re getting there.

I will say I can , instead of I can*t.
It’s no longer a word in my vocabulary.
God is good
We thank him Day in and day out
We thank you God
For loving me
I thank you Lord for loving us
You created the heavens and the Earth
You created the sky the moon and the stars
You gave life to human kind
And you gave life to me
Thank you Heavenly Father for choosing me
Thank you for the opportunity to love and to be loved
Thank you for deciding to experience this earth through my eyes
And thank you for never leaving me
Thank you for the warmth
Thank you for for the battles
What I go through I can help someone else with
What I have lived will make ripples in the world
Thank you God
Thank you for not giving me the sprit I’d fear
I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me
I can do all things because you live in me and you are the great I am
You are all things
You are the almighty and I thank you you
For being love
I thank you for loving everyone around me
Everything around me
Thank you for your grace and mercy
Thank you for the opportunity to share love
Thank you for the heart to help
Thank you thank you
Thank you
Lord and Savior
I love you
I am a slave to your love
And I thank you
For slavery is redefined in your name
You are master for you are the greatest
You created and so you rule
I am not a disciple out of pain or force
But I choose to be loved
Unconditionally, I stand in your light
I stand in your rain because I love the way you rein
Father God I love you
And I love the love that allowed me to love
I thank you over and over
Endlessly
Nothing I could do could ever match what you’ve done .
But I can spend me days worshiping you and doing your work.
Loving because I was loved
Being a blessing because I was blessed
Allowing your light to shine through my vessel
Thank you
For even allowing me to share your light
Thank you for touching many through me
Thank you
Thank
You
Love
I Jesus almighty , all powerful, and ever lasting name
Amen
