here will be a list of 10 beauty secrets i've learned from a model who's been in the industry for over 10 years and also studied from some of our beloved top name models in the industry. we all love good beauty hacks and tips that won't take much effort or drain our pockets. so here are the secrets.. :

LESS IS MORE. less enhances rather than overwhelms. opt for a lightweight foundation of your choice, such as charlotte tilbury or a skin tint, like fenty beauty to avoid cakey makeup. and effortless elegance, looking without seeming overly done, makes you feel beautiful and is truly captivating. — think "clean girl aesthetic" or "french beauty" philosophy. this is also good for skin health, too many products may be bad for your skin.

daily facial massages and sculpting. using a guasha, jade roller, face roller, etc. has many beauty benefits beyond just self-care. using these tools on your face daily can reduce puffiness, lift and tone facial features, deliver oxygen and nutrients to the skin, giving it a natural, radiant glow. try massaging your face daily with your knuckles and apply a serum your skin likes.

jewelry is the way to enhance any look. jewelry adds polish without trying too hard, it enhances features, earrings highlight cheekbones, necklaces draw attention to the collarbone, rings add elegance to hand gestures.

try not to draw on brows. this beauty secret says that you should only fill in the sparse areas of your brows, outline, and blend. harsh or overly defined brows can make your facial features look rigid. try brow gels, powders, or even a light-handed pencil. do what you love but it's all about technique.

rub ice over your face before applying makeup. this beauty hack is good for those with oily skin. the ice minimizes pores, reduces puffiness and redness, and helps makeup last longer. wrap the the ice cube in a cloth or use an ice roller.

wear almond, oval, or short square nails. these nail shapes are universally flattering and effortlessly elegant. they are versatile for any style, whether you prefer minimal or bold nail art, or even french tip nails are a classic in beauty. very low maintenance and can still do everyday tasks while looking polished.

Rules

Do not leave the house without looking your best- One of the worst feelings is going out and feeling uncomfortable in your own skin. Look good, feel good.

Be Hot First, Worry Later- No matter how hard we try to deny it, looks do matter, and they can be armor. That doesn’t mean you need a full beat. Applying some lip gloss, focusing on skincare, and making sure your hair is done is more than enough.

Hygiene hygiene hygiene- Who doesn’t want to smell & look amazing? When you take care of yourself, your body shows it.

Confidence is non negotiable- Being confident doesn’t mean being loud. It means trusting yourself and your decisions. You're not easily influenced by others, even if you don’t consider yourself confident yet, walk like it, talk like it, act like it and eventually, you will become it.

Don't ever apologize for being feminine- Femininity is power, not weakness. It allows you to be your most authentic and vulnerable self. Try naming a weak feminine woman...you can’t. But strong ones? I could list so many.

Keep it cute- Be sweet always, but don’t let anyone walk all over you. Be tough when the time calls for it.

And how do I know this? Because for years, I was my own biggest bully. Healing that part of me is something I'm learning to do one day at a time.

Last night, I had a really good journaling sess for the first time in a while. It hit me: I already am everything I desire to be. I already am my higher self, even if this current "reality" — the 3D — isn’t showing it yet. And so are you!

You might say this way of thinking is "delulu" or "faking it till you make it," which is maaaybe a little true. But your mind literally shapes your perspective.

Example: I could walk up to you right now and compliment your hairstyle. To me, it's one of the coolest things I've seen today — but if you’re not happy with it, you might ignore or brush off my compliment.

You made “my hair sucks” part of your reality, your "truth" — even though no one has bashed your hair.

No one can shape your world/truth unless you let them.

You're in full control of how you react, the career you choose, the pants you wear. You're also in full control of any limitations or beliefs you’ve picked up — whether from yourself or from others.

If someone says you look better in red, that doesn't make it a fact. It doesn't mean every other color suddenly looks bad on you. That’s their perception of you — their world. If you feel like you look better in blue, then you do. Because it’s your world, and you said so.

You say your dream self is kindhearted, soft, confident, healthy — mentally and physically. Okay, now stop imagining a gap between that version and the you now. There’s no gap anymore.

From here on out, no matter what the 3D shows, you are who you just described. Each day and every action — you become softer. You set your first boundary. You feel more at peace because you journaled or meditated this week. And you might think, "This is only the beginning. I’m not there yet."

Thing is, you are.

You’re doing what your higher self would do. You’re shifting.

No matter what your current beliefs are, you have all the power to rewrite them. You made your old beliefs "true," so you can make new ones true too.

And yes, it's absolutely going to feel like lying to yourself at first. But if you've believed in one thing for years, of course it may take just as many to believe in another.

No one's perception of you is you. YOU know who you are.

You shape your reality.

And I wholeheartedly believe that you and I are already everything we need to be — we're just now learning to see it.

Larme-kei is one of my favorite J-fashion styles & I love that I’m seeing more of it’s inspiration in stores! I often see a lot of heart motifs, velvet, satin, lace, ruffles and other feminine elements. The typical color palettes are blacks, off whites, pinks, lilacs, light blues, and deep reds. There’s definitely a Hollywood boudoir meets 50s barbie feel to it and as somebody who also adores rockabilly/pin-up the crossover makes me closet a happy place to be. Swankiss is a super prominent brand within the substyle. it’s important to have different routines ready to match your mood and energy level. which is why I believe preparing for self care days for when you’re just not feeling your best is essential and a great way to look out for yourself. here’s my guide to self care days for low energy.

despite your low energy, it’s important you still get your daily movement. however, exercise doesn’t always have to be intense.

try doing one of these

— 2 minutes of touching/trying to touch your toes

— 5-7 minutes of full body stretching

— 10 minutes of yoga

or maybe just stretch your neck, roll your shoulders, and take a few deep breaths. whatever you’re ready to do :)

do something for your mind. journal, get your thoughts out, meditate, read five pages of an inspiring book. do something that you will love and that your mind will thank you for. whether it’s sitting in silence for a few minutes or playing a game that’ll challenge your brain.

the last thing you want to do is give your mind the responsibility of remembering your tasks. i don’t care how little you have on your schedule, write a to do list. on a low energy day, it’s important we’re easy on ourselves. getting everything out of our head and onto a piece of paper will not only make tasks seem more manageable but will also make our minds feel a bit lighter.

write everything. I mean it. even the small and seemingly insignificant tasks. even the parts of your routine that you do everyday anyways, write it all down.

even though we’re a little bit down, that doesn’t mean we can cheat on the promises and boundaries we made with ourselves.

a low energy day doesn’t mean you can jump right back into your old habits. you’ll only feel worse if you do. it can be comforting to spend the whole day in bed, liking relatable TikToks and having a 7 hour screen time. but that’s not real rest. do something that’ll nourish you while also making you feel relaxed and comfortable. whether that’s watching an episode of your comfort show, rereading a chapter of your favorite book, or listening to your all time favorite songs while you just relax.

low energy is not a reason to practice unhealthy bad habits.
