everytime tim pisses off jason jason's like "first you steal my fucking job, now this?!" and tim goes "i didn't STEAL robin, you were DEAD and the position needed to be FILLED." and then jason says "but when i stopped being dead you didn't give it BACK. when an office worker gets a replacement so they can go on maternity leave the replacement is supposed to FUCK OFF once the maternity leave ENDS." and tim argues "YOU WEREN'T ON FUCKING MATERNITY LEAVE JASON" and jason screams back equally loud "WELL I DISAPPEARED FOR AROUND NINE MONTHS AND THEN SHOWED BACK UP WITH DAMIAN WHAT DO YOU KNOW?!" and then tim leaping strikes him off a 6 story building
Tim, sprinting into Jason’s room, sticking in all directions, looking around with wide eyes.
Jason, on his bed reading a book: What the fuck are you doing?
Tim, quickly looking behind him and back at Jason’s bed: If he asks I’m not here.
Jason: What?
Tim, sprinting so fast he trips back and slides under semi under Jason’s bed. He doesn’t quite make it all the way through, instead having to awkwardly shuffle under: I’m. Not. Here.
Jason: What the fuck.
Dick, dressed in a suit but with a long worm-on-a-string around his neck: WHERE THE FUCK IS HE?
Jason, immediately pointing under the bed.
Dick, grabs something and yanking it out: FUCKER. WHERE ARE MY TIES.
Tim, already struggling: YOU GAVE ME PEPSI. I ASKED FOR COKE.
Dick: I HAVE A MEETING TODAY.
Tim: SHOULDVE THOUGHT ABOUT THAT SOONER BITCH.
Jason, turns another page.

You know the funniest thing about SK8 the Infinity or whatever? Langa and Reki, simply do not care. They don't give a shit. The whole series, ADAM is making ominous biblical lusty threats towards Langa and Langa is NEVER paying attention, Reki is too busy having a mental crisis/coming of age moment to pay attention to the guy that literally beats the shit out of him, but at no point are they like 'maybe we are being treated in an odd way' or 'maybe we should find out more about Adam' because they don't give a shit.
They never approach Joe and Cherry like 'we need to know the TRUTH about Adam' because they're too busy dapping each other up in an abandoned skate park. Reki gets hit by a car by someone connected to Adam and when Snake goes projecting all his issues he's like 'okay whatever, unrelatable'. Langa brings up 'I wonder why Adam skates' ONE TIME, and they're like 'it's probably because he enjoys it, no other possible reason'. They don't care about his shady past with Cherry and Joe. They don't care that he's a politician. They simply have two priorities and it's each other and skating.
It's so funny to me that they're THIS apathetic to the main antagonist. Himbo's wish they could be this dumb.

Found one of my older drawings while looking through my gallery! Happy winter, everybody. :]
love the way wind breaker takes its time fleshing out sakura's development every arc— his character in general, especially when it comes to how his past experiences have shaped him to be the person the makochi folks meet, and the person he's becoming with the help of their love and guidance.
(sakura-centric ramble incoming)
except for hints here and there, there is no expository backstory reveal as of yet — the way we got the one for umemiya — but from his monologues alone, and the way his friends notice the little things that reveal how deep-rooted his issues are, that regardless of whatever the specifics are, they (and the readers, by extension) can tell this is a child who has been neglected and abused for a long time. because. you don't always need a 'backstory reveal' to know what is already being revealed through his actions and his reactions — it's. all. in. the. little. things. it's 'show don't tell' done right, and so right it really squeezes those tears out of your eyes, ahah.
his flustered reaction to even the slightest of warmth and kindness. the way he doesn't know how to use chopsticks or a spoon. till bofurin, the only 'contact' he had on his phone was the weather, that was literally all he used his phone for. isolation induced hyper-independence to the point that he's never felt the warmth of another person's touch except for fights.
and fear, that intense fear that paralyses him at the thought of being rejected by his classmates, because this is the first time he's letting people in; the constant, constant fear that haunts him as he tries his best to adjust to this new, loving and warm environment he's found himself in.
his living condition — the small dingy and empty room — in itself a blaring metaphor for his desolate mental state. just like suo says it in his smartphone analogy, sakura has had to fend for himself for so long that now that he finally has people who care for him, he does not know what to do with all that love and affection and trust and goodwill. it's all so, so foreign to him, and that's what scares him so much, and it's just so heartbreaking.
(heartwarming too because now he's truly found a family who won't leave his side no matter what, who are there to help him learn what it's like to love and be loved. augh)
that's why i love it all the more how they are all so straightforward and direct in displaying their affection for sakura— be it the playful teasing, their compliments, or the more emotional moments where they let him know he's not alone. because he needs that. for someone who has spent his whole life being rejected and denied, now that he has found people who love him, he needs that constant assurance spelled out to him.
this panel right here. is the most precious thing ever
