how to deal with a witchy burnout
most of us have been there. we lose our touch with the craft and donโt feel like doing much. we feel too tired and exhausted to put effort in it and sometimes we feels like thereโs no point.
here are some tips on how to get out of this sticky situation! ๐
drink tea โจ
yes, you heard me! drinking teas with specific herbs (like chamomile for sleep, lavender for anxiety, etc.) will help you get in tune with herbal magick. you can also stir your tea clockwise to bring forward something (like good energy or calmness) or add a sigil on the bottom with some honey (doesnโt have to be perfect). ๐ตโจ๐ธ
nature walk โจ
get in tune with those energies outside! i always find a walk on the grass helps pick up my mood (especially barefoot!!). envision the energies from the earth flowing into your body ๐ฑ๐๐
witchy movie โจ
sometimes, we just need a little inspo to bring us back to our craft. watching witchy movies can bring back that spark into us! some great movies i recommend are:
the craft
hocus pocus
the love witch
practical magic
charmed (a show)
carrie
the vampire diaries (a show)
tarot โจ
start off with one card if more than that feels like it would tire you. itโs ok! you can do one in the morning by asking a simple question like โwhat should i focus on today?โ ๐ฎโจ๐
food โจ
incorporate some magick into the food you eat! this isnโt hard at all, especially since we all eat food everyday. simply add an intent to an herb or spice and then add it into your food. for example, add cinnamon onto your oatmeal, with your intent being that you will have abundance ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ฉ
songs โจ
songs are great to get you back into magick! listen to pagan music, celtic songs, or just look up โwitchcraft songs,โ โwiccan songs,โ or โpagan songsโ on spotify๐๐ค๐
gratitude โจ
this oneโs real simple! when you wake up, thank the universe that you got to live to see another day. you can even journal it. breathe in the air and think of how grateful you are that youโre able to do that. soak in the sunโs rays and feel the heat. ๐๐ผ๐
final words...
itโs ok to take breaks! nothing wrong with that. itโs human. appreciate yourself as a person. remember, you are magickal and divine no matter how many burnouts you have. burnouts happen to nearly everyone and itโs completely normal! ๐๐ฅ๐

โIโm sorry,โ the hero apologized to the fallen villain. โWhat for?โ they grunted, their eyes full of hate. The hero, with a solemn face, admitted, โYou were supposed to be the hero of the story, and I, the villain.โ
You know what is amazing (that would never happen in canon, but)
marichat and ladrien could both be canon AT THE SAME TIME
if Adrien and ladybug found out that each of them is madly in love with the other and started dating (probably secretly?), they would be SO OVER-THE-MOON HAPPY and in love AHHH
and at the same time?? Marinette and chat noir could become close friends that are 100% platonic. And omgsh they would be friends with the love of their life and not know it ahhh. FRENS!!
and then in ladynoir, chat would be like โhehehehe Iโm your BF and you donโt even know it.โ And ladybug would be like โhehehe im your BFF and you donโt even know it.โ And chat wouldnโt act sad about her rejections anymore and they would grow closer as partners and be happy and !!
and then in adrienette it would be the flip! marinette like โEEEE IM YOUR GF!!!!โ and Adrien like โEEE IM YOUR BFF!โ And they would get closer too!!
and then eventually with all of this going on there is bound to be a slip-up that leads to a reveal and imagine how happy they will be to find out that their one true love and their best friend are the same person ;__;
basically what Iโm saying is make ladrien and marichat canon u cowards
(a major flaw in this plan is them having time to secretly date someone and secretly be BFFs with someone else on top of their already-busy civilian schedules AND their superhero duties but letโs not talk about that)
this actually is rewiring my brain as we speak
In many cultures, ethnic groups, and nations around the world, hair is considered a source of power and prestige. African people brought these traditions and beliefs to the Americas and passed them down through the generations.
In my motherโs family (Black Americans from rural South Carolina) the women donโt cut their hair off unless absolutely necessary (i.e damage or routine trimming). Long hair is considered a symbol of beauty and power; my mother often told me that our hair holds our strength and power. Though my motherโs family has been American born for several generations, it is fascinating to see the beliefs and traditions of our African ancestors passed down. We are emotionally and spiritually attached to our hair, cutting it only with the knowledge that we are starting completely clean and removing stagnant energy.
Couple this with the forced removal and covering of our hair from the times of slavery and onward, and you can see why so many Black women and men alike take such pride and care in their natural hair and love to adorn our heads with wigs, weaves, braids, twists, accessories, and sharp designs.
Hair is not just hair in African diaspora cultures, and this is why the appropriation and stigma surrounding our hair is so harmful.
