If anything is true, it’s that Charles will always care for Carlos (and vice versa)
“I feel sorry for Carlos... I’m sorry for him… I feel sorry that for Carlos that means he dropped out of the points.”
The way he’s looking from side to side trying to get some help 🥺
Jeddah GP '25 // Carlos got stuck in his cockpit post-race and a Stake mechanic came to his rescue 😭
I always forget Jenson went into the tattoo world. Him getting an asian dragon is crazy.
BOOO YOU WHORE 🫵🏼
With the popularity of the upcoming anime, I decided to make a master post for fans new and old, as well as for those who are curious about the series! What is Banana Fish? Banana Fish is a manga series by Akimi Yoshida. Originally published in 1985, it follows the story of Ash Lynx, a charismatic gang leader, as he grapples with figuring out the mystery of “banana fish” that turns his life upside down. The story also centers around the close relationship between Ash Lynx and Eiji Okumura, a young Japanese photographer’s assistant who came to New York to photograph the city, but ends up getting caught up in Ash’s violent life. DISCLAIMER: Banana Fish is definitely not for everyone. Some of the topics Banana Fish deals with are violence, drugs, rape, pedophilia, child abuse, gang warfare, racism, prostitution, and death. None of the sexual content is shown explicitly. I recommend not investing in this series if these topics make you uncomfortable.
Manga - The main story consists of 19 volumes. VIZ Media licensed a english translation in 1999-2002, with flipped L to R pages and censored dialogue. VIZ later released a full re-translation of the series of all 19 volumes. Both have since been out of print. Can be read in full here, in English. The manga is also getting a gorgeous box edition which can be found on Amazon. (Japanese only)
Side stories - An extra volume, titled Banana Fish: Another Story consists of five side stories that take place before and after the events in the main story. Highly recommended to read after you finish the main story. Raws
Angel Eyes -prequel that tells the story of how Ash and Shorter met. Included in VIZ’s translation of Banana Fish.
The Garden with Holy Light - Epilogue to Banana Fish. Included in VIZ’s translation of Banana Fish. Private Opinion - Prequel that tells the story of how Ash and Blanca first met. Untranslated. Fly boy, in the sky - Prequel that tells the story of how Eiji and Ibé met. Untranslated.
Ura Banana - Short, comedic story about Ash and Eiji discussing fan mail with Akimi Yoshida. Untranslated.
Media Anime- A Banana Fish anime is in the works! Set to premier July 2018, it is being produced by the studio MAPPA and will consist of 24 episodes. The biggest change will be that the story is set to modern day. You can find more information here on ANN. (Will update this section when we get closer to the date) Radio drama - A radio drama for Banana Fish was produced in 1996. @bananafishlovers was kind enough to compile the drama CDs into a playlist which can be found here. Untranslated, but you can follow along with the audio if you have the manga close by. Stage adaption - A stage adaption for Banana Fish was produced in 2012. Very hard to find outside of Japan, here’s a preview (Warning: stage silliness) Asrun Dream - A song from the album Mars by Gackt. In an interview with Akimi Yoshida, “Asrun Dream is an older song of his [Gackt], inspired by Banana Fish. He said that when he wrote it, he imagined Eiji asleep in bed while Ash looks out the window to the night sky.” (lyrics + source) Extras Angel Eyes - Not related to the side story of the same name, Angel Eyes was a Banana Fish art book by Akimi Yoshida. The short story, That Summer, is also included in the art book. You can read it here and here You can find copies of the book on Amazon or on Japanese bidding sites, but please be warned that the price for it has skyrocketed since it is a rare book. Banana Fish REBIRTH - Official guide book to Banana Fish. This book includes an extensive analysis on the story and characters, and the setting of New York City. Harder to find than Angel Eyes, but also just as crazy expensive. I hope this covers everything. If you have any questions, suggestions, or corrections, let me know! I’ll also be updating this post as more information about Banana Fish is released.
The more I watch House of Cards, the more I develop an interest toward Meechum. I like dwelling on his facial expression or body language, and like imagining what thoughts are in his head. I've also just found myself thinking how interesting a thing it would be if Meechum was part of my own head of state's detail, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. And then I realize that while the picture would be delicious, Meechum is more the type to develop a certain worship toward an older male anyway.
Max is so sweet being this happy for Nico. I was already thinking of featuring Max in the Gabico thing. This cements it
max congratulating nico h!
Q: All the Saezuru characters have their own unique personalities and quirks that make them fascinating, but did you by any chance model any of them from any real-life person?
A : No, I didn’t model any of them after real-life people.
Q : What is the height difference between Yashiro-san and Doumeki-san? Doumeki-san looks really tall.
A : Yashiro - 178 cm (5'8), Doumeki - 190 cm (6'1) (I don’t think I’ll draw any other character taller than this LOL)
Kageyama - 183 cm (5'11), Kuga - 170 cm (5'6)
Q : What types of underwear do those two have?
A : Yashiro doesn-… or rather, he wears normal briefs. Not the boxer type ones but more the bikini type. Doumeki wears normal boxers.
Q : I’m really, really, really curious about Doumeki’s normal/casual clothes. For me, he’s even more mysterious than Yashiro-san, so simply even telling us whether he’s into jeans and stuff will bring me tears of joy!
A: Doumeki isn’t really the type that cares about appearance, so he’s the type to just wear a simple white shirt and jeans.
Q : Has Doumeki ever had a girlfriend?
A : He’s had 2 girlfriends in the past (Please refer to Vol.2 Chapter 5)
Q : Why did you choose “Doumeki” as the lead’s surname? It’s a very unusual surname isn’t it? (t/n: Not many Japanese have this surname. Literally, the characters 百目鬼 means 100-eyed demon)
A: I had a female classmate in the past who had the same surname. I wanted Doumeki to have a really strong appearance and equally strong name as well.
Q : What type of place does Doumeki live in? Is it one of those typical apartments with a diagonal staircase? Will we have a scene in the future where Yashiro-san will go hang out there with him?
(t/n: this was in early 2015, so probably in the middle of Vol 3)
A : Yes, it’s an apartment. It might be good if there can be a scene like that, but I can’t really say…
(t/n : thank heavens they did more than “hang out” in volume 6 Lol)
Q : Tell us what kind of tattoo does Misumi-san have.
A : It’s a karajishi botan tattoo. (t/n: Lion and peony backpiece - said to protect from evil)
Q: Do you have any favorite scenes or dialogues from Volume 1 and 2?
A : I like that scene where Doumeki got hit by a box of condoms (Vol 1), and that flashback scene of Yashiro and Misumi in the snow (Vol 2).
Q : The story between that doctor and mad dog couple feels unfinished. Will there be a sequel?
A : Another stand alone story about them might be a bit of a long-shot… But I’m glad you liked their story!
Q: The clumsy exchange of feelings between Yashiro and Doumeki are sooo painful to watch right now, but does Sensei already have in mind an “ending scene” of sorts for the two of them? Or are you the type to think it up as you go along?
A : I already have it in mind.
The clothes, kitchen linens and towels I washed 2 months ago and from which I wanted to remove the pet hairs before putting it away.

From the book Organizing Solutions for People with ADHD:
Putting a coat on the back of a chair by the door is fine, but if you prefer, use coat hooks and a large catch-all basket for dropping keys, hats, gloves.
Small bookcase end-table next to the couch to store craft projects, books, and other things being worked on for easy access.
Add a storage unit near the dining room table to transition between eating and working there.
Daily toiletry items should be stored in a basket that you can move easily
Extra toiletries and medicine cabinet items go in open shelf/basket storage so they can be seen and used easily. If items no longer fit, purge the excess. Don’t obscure the view!
If you disrobe in the bathroom, place a tall hamper in there.
Keep a set of cleaning supplies in each bathroom
