You know those posts about one of Bruce’s kids getting kidnapped and him having no idea which kid they have based on the vague descriptions he’s given? Well now I can’t only imagine Bruce getting the dreaded call and immediately pulling out a guess who board filled entirely with his kids. Like

kidnapper: we have one of your children

Bruce: I have so many of those you need to be more specific

kidnapper: the loud and annoying one

Bruce, flipping down Cass and Duke: that does not help as much as you think it does

kidnapper: well he has black hair?

Bruce, flips down Steph: keep going

kidnapper: uhhhh? He’s short?

Bruce, flips down Dick and Jason leaving Tim and Damian: more specific

kidnapper: he’s been condescending and judgmental since we got him

Bruce: yeah they both tend to do that

kidnapper: he keeps throwing around words I don’t understand

Bruce, realizing that Damian and Tim are significantly more similar than he thought: uhh more specific?

kidnapper: more?? look just wore us the mon— WHERE’D HE HIDE A KATANA???

Reverse Robins AU where Damian actually does not dislike Tim at all. In fact, he admires him for his commitment and determination (even if he’s not a particularly brilliant fighter in the beginning) - besides, if anything, growing up in the League taught him that if you wanted something like that, you should grab it while you have the chance.

Damian walks into the cave after being called there for something important. He has no idea what’s about to go down but Alfred, Bruce, and Duke are all there intervention style with some random kid that damian only vaguely recognises (because he doesn’t really care).

Damian: What in God’s name is this.

Bruce: Well, son… this is Tim. he’s going to be working under your old hero name.

Duke and Alfred exchange a wary glance. Tim gives a little wave because what are you supposed to do when everyone looks like they’re collectively waiting for a bomb to go off??

Damian takes a minute, but eventually realises they’re waiting for a reaction from him. Which still doesn’t really explain why they’re looking at him like that, but people can be strange.

Damian, who hasn’t been to the manor in a while for Reasons: How long has he been training?

Tim, who still doesn’t get what the big deal is and is just pretty eager to impress this guy: Three weeks!

Damian goes quiet again, and Bruce sighs, ready to intervene—

Damian: You should show me what you’ve learned, at some point.

Tim beams. Damian turns around and walks away. Everyone else just has to take a minute because hey, wasn’t it supposed to be more difficult than that? He didn’t want an explanation? No grand argument? Nothing?

Sooner or later, the pair of them start training together. Damian visits more often to keep tabs on tim. (Naturally at some point, Tim has to fucking die, because this is a Reverse Robins AU. But it’s nice while it lasts)

Gaz does not care for slow burn romances…

Saw someone on tiktok call the handle at the back of a vest a bitch strap.

Made me think of this.

Everyone on base jokes that it's a good thing there's the bitch straps, everyone must be having to grab Johnny by it and tugging him back from bad decisions.

Soap thinks the truth is hilarious but keeps his mouth shut because he'd like to keep his teeth. The only time he is ever really grabbed by it is usually when someone pulls him back for a hug, or to steal his food.

Ghost however is a whole different story. Having a talk and the guy is an arse? Prices hand is resting on that strap, ready to yank him back of needed.

Gaz has yanked him back from running into a burning building. Soap yanks it when Ghost needs to check himself.

And the most humiliating part? Ghost reacts. The strap is tugged and he switches to docile. The pavloved the bitch strap to have meaning
