Talking to a therapist lady and my grandma goes “”she”” wants to transgender. SHE WANTS TO TRANSGENDER. Fucking hilarious but not so funny when you realize she doesn’t support me at all. She thinks it’s some sort of trend or choice? Or something? I don’t really know. I mean I kinda get it sorta because I change my mind very quickly on things but transitioning isn’t, like, a super fast process… you don’t have to jump to T right away, it can start slow! Also I’ve known I was trans for about two years now. But this means I *might* be able to change her mind… idk though. All I want is to feel comfortable in my own skin but I suppose that’s too much to ask. Also the therapist lady asked if I was influenced by anything… bruh. I’ve known for two years at this point, if this was a hyperfixation it would’ve been gone by now. Sorry that I prefer to be called “he” I guess. Now I’m doubting myself, but maybe that was the point. I don’t know what else to add, so post over I guess.
This is awesome how does it only have a couple of notes???
a little chest binding/testosterone sticker sheet i did for fun :)
@lesgay-loser i saw you tagged this as needing ids so uh here I go!! sorry if it sucks I'm gonna try sometimes I'm overly verbose or not detailed enough so if anyone else sees this and can improve my IDs oh my god please send advice /gen
First image id-
[ID: a stick figure labeled "You" saying "girls need to stay OUT of gay spaces I hate fujoshis" points a gun at a stick figure labeled "weirdo who ships real people and asks gay people about their sex position unprompted (doesn't care)" with a shield, which reflects the bullet to a stick figure with multiple different labels reflecting different people. "This is about me isn't it (sometimes it actually is)", "achillian/mlm genderqueer women", "bigender gay guy", "gay trans man in denial", "trans woman who still feels connected to gayness/the gay community", "mlm girlboys", and "nonbinary gays afab". /END ID]
Second image id-
[ID: a stick figure labeled "You" saying "men can't be lesbians" points a gun at at a stick figure labeled "gross cishet man who thinks good dick can turn lesbians straight and doesn't care about consent" with a shield, which reflects the bullet to a stick figure with multiple different labels reflecting different people. "This is about me isn't it (sometimes it actually is)", "he/him butches", "lesboys", "nonbinary lesbians AMAB", "lesbian trans women in denial/the closet", "trans women generally who think you're calling them men and being transphobic", "bigender lesbians", and "genderqueer lesbians who are also cis guys". /END ID]
I wish people understood the way that "fujoshi" hate and "men can't be lesbians" sentiment and exclusionism regarding orientations keeps trans/genderqueer/nonbinary people in denial and closeted for longer.
It's by Loren Cameron, a trans man, and is filled with photography (some nsfw just so you know, 18+.)
Link under the cut.
I read all of it in like 30 minutes max.
Has some kinda outdated language, but it was published 1996 so that's kinda expected lol.
It's free to read on the internet archive (god bless the internet archive, couldn't find it anywhere else!)
Write that fic
Draw your OC
Redesign that blorbo
Plan that comic how you want

The only thing that matters is you having fun! Not what others think!
probably over a year ago I had a customer come into the shop, a man I'd guess probably 70-ish? And he hung around the till whilst I was dealing with another customer and then when I was done he handed me a bit of paper and on the paper it said 'books about crossdressing'
well, I did my best - he was obviously very nervous and I wanted to help him find something useful. Unfortunately there's not a lot of books about crossdressing - lots on trans stuff obviously! But I wasn't clear on whether he was thinking of transitioning and he was so nervous I didn't want to push him for any details. He ended up buying Eddie Izzard's biography and seemed pretty happy with that, but I never forgot it and I've always kept an eye out for those kind of books since.
Today he came back in, came round to the side of the till again, took out his phone and started showing me photos of himself wearing dresses, at which point I realised it was him. I nearly cried, it was so lovely! He still wanted books on crossdressing so I told him I'd do some more research & write him a list, but I'm hitting the same problem again - there's not a lot specifically about crossdressing. My colleague & I have made a list including books on drag, books on transitioning, books on women's fashion generally, but I am hoping despite my lack of reach on Tumblr I might be able to get recommendations from people with more knowledge than me. Please send me suggestions!
