Listening to music, swinging on my web swing (doing both rn!), snapping fingers (this is a new one but it’s pleasing to my brain), walking and dancing at the same time (hard to explain, but I kinda do an interpretive dance while I walk?? It looks strange but it brings me joy), spinning, singing/lip syncing, bouncing leg, fidget toys (slime/putty, infinity cube, magnets), chewing gum/chew necklaces, flexing my stomach, blinking fast, humming, cracking knuckles, sighing, inhaling (with nose), touching soft stuff, pacing, and more I can’t really remember right now. Some are more situational, but I enjoy all of them!

stimming is a self-soothing behavior that can be used to calm down feelings of stress, anxiety, overwhelming emotions, or physical discomfort. stimming is a natural, and healthy behavior, and it is important to allow others to stim when they need to. i am a nonspeaking autistic AAC user, and i stim a lot because it is a helpful way to regulate my emotions, and a way for me to express myself. stimming is a beautiful, and essential part of who i am, and i am proud to call myself a stimmer!

I don't think you're a trans ally until you accept trans people who don't want to transition. And I don't just mean medically.

I mean trans men who look indistinguishable from cis women and trans women who look indistinguishable from cis men and they're happy like that. Who have no intention of changing their style, presentation, or even pronouns.

Some women don't look like the stereotypical idea of "woman" and it's the same for men. But they're still men and women. I need you to understand that gender has no bearing on appearance and people's comfort in their own bodies is more important than the fictional idea of what manhood and womanhood looks like.

And, yes, some people can't transition due to disability or funds or whatever and they're included in this, yes. But you need to accept people who don't want to either. Who willingly make the choice to not transition in any way because that's how they're the most comfortable.

A trans person who doesn't transition is just as much their gender as anyone else of that same gender. Please get that through your head.

To any trans men who don't want to transition or change their appearance in any way: You're a man. You've always been a man. You will always be a man.

To any trans women who don't want to transition or change their appearance in any way: You're a woman. You've always been a woman. You will always be a woman.

The way your body looks doesn't matter in the slightest, your gender is real and legitimate and valid regardless of any other factors.

When ya OTP small and u starving for content but u find that one fic/drawing

probably over a year ago I had a customer come into the shop, a man I'd guess probably 70-ish? And he hung around the till whilst I was dealing with another customer and then when I was done he handed me a bit of paper and on the paper it said 'books about crossdressing'

well, I did my best - he was obviously very nervous and I wanted to help him find something useful. Unfortunately there's not a lot of books about crossdressing - lots on trans stuff obviously! But I wasn't clear on whether he was thinking of transitioning and he was so nervous I didn't want to push him for any details. He ended up buying Eddie Izzard's biography and seemed pretty happy with that, but I never forgot it and I've always kept an eye out for those kind of books since.

Today he came back in, came round to the side of the till again, took out his phone and started showing me photos of himself wearing dresses, at which point I realised it was him. I nearly cried, it was so lovely! He still wanted books on crossdressing so I told him I'd do some more research & write him a list, but I'm hitting the same problem again - there's not a lot specifically about crossdressing. My colleague & I have made a list including books on drag, books on transitioning, books on women's fashion generally, but I am hoping despite my lack of reach on Tumblr I might be able to get recommendations from people with more knowledge than me. Please send me suggestions!

Cw family stuff and substance abuse

Just listened to Like Him by Tyler the Creator and Lola Young and HOLY SHIT, OOF OUCH MY GODDAMN FEELINGS. I have a bio dad who I have a love-hate relationship with, I don't think I've ever really explained it here so I'm gonna try.

My bio dad has substance abuse issues; any drug you can name, he's done. He's a liar and a thief, a bastard, really. But I can talk with him about videogames and just forget everything. He might die soon because he's not seeking professional help. I've kind of hardened my heart to him, but I forgot about everything I have against him and enjoy a conversation with someone who has similar interests.

I wish he didn't have that problem. We would've been best friends. He's also really into conspiracy theories and shit and also thinks trans people are evil (but not gay people since he has a gay friend.) So that would've gotten in the way if we were close, but we could've worked through it hopefully.

I hate him for how he and my bio mom neglected me as a child, but I can't stand to hate him after seeing him as a real person. It's like how much I say I hate my grandparents, but they're people too. I want them to do something awful, so I can "deserve" to hate them. I may get my "wish" in the future, it just depends how me moving out and transitioning goes.

The last part of "Like Him" is relatable as fuck, it makes me sad to listen to it even though it's a great song.

You ever have a blorbo who literally takes up like 99% of the space in your brain and you have no clue why?? This guy does!!

Edgar George Zomboss (Plants vs Zombies) is my current guy that lives in my head... and I don't know why? He's literally awful in every regard but like I can't stop thinking about him for whatever reason. The main reason I'm reading the pvz comics and playing the games are because of him. The autism goes insane sometimes.

I literally have two fanfics in the works with him as the main character or at least someone very significant. What is wrong with me!!!!

The brainrot I have is severe. I literally see something like idk, a guy in a brown suit, and my brain goes "pvz reference???"

I think when I get to have a life outside of my grandparent's house maybe I'll be a little less mentally ill about my fav characters. One can hope.
