Part of my roadtrip tool me to Atlanta. And, the Civil Rights Center was amazing. Very powerful. They have this one exhibit where you sit at a lunch counter and close your eyes and put on headphones. And It plays sounds like you are at a sit in and people are yelling. And it times how long you can sit there for. I think i lasted almost a minute before i was almost crying.

It…made its point.

HOW TO: Disable Highlight/Copy

I decided to put my computer degree to good use and put this little How To together to help with the plagiarism problem because I’m sick of it.

This will disable text highlighting on your blog pages so they can’t use copy.

This should work on desktop but likely not on app because that’s a whole other thing

I have not thoroughly tested this but it seems to work on mine on my blog page itself

Open Commissions!

Hi all! I’ve been writing for my favorite characters and sharing them on this site for the past few months now. I love writing and creating universes with words with every inch of my heart, and I will continue to pass around the happiness that fanfictions have given me. But now, I am also hoping that it could be my string of hope. 

My eldest dog, Chloe, has been sick for a few weeks now and due to the pandemic, we have been dealing with some financial crisis for quite some time now. My mom is a hardworking single mother who tirelessly strives to feed us and our four dogs, and now, we desperately need some extra money for Chloe’s medication. She’s a six years old golden-furred pomeranian. Please help us save her. Your contribution would mean a lot.

every time a black writer on here gets a message asking them (or really demanding them) to write white readers, i just think about that interview toni morrison did that one time where the interviewer asked if she’ll ever write about white people in a substantial way and the way she just said to them “you can’t even begin to understand the racism of that question” or something along those lines. fandom in general, and fic in particular, has alienated black, and poc overall, readers since day one and for all the posts about diversity in fanfic that circulate on here, i never see anons holding their faves who write white readers accountable for more diversity. instead, you accost black writers making a space for themselves to make room for you. you who can suspend all disbelief to read about readers who are assassins and mutants, but can’t change or ignore features in a poc reader fic so you don’t feel “uncomfortable” (which, by the way, is an issue in and of itself). black people are allowed to tell stories that include us explicitly. full stop. and no one is asking you to read those stories if you don’t want to. coming into black/poc writers’ spaces to tell them they can’t include themselves in the fanfic world is racist point blank and you will never have any legs to stand on in that argument. so just… shut up. stay on blogs that cater to you and leave us alone lmaooo

Things I never knew about The Avengers until I started reading fanfics:

1. Tony Stark literally never sleeps.

2. Thor loves to address women as “Lady (name)”. No one knows when he’s coming or going but Stark keeps a room ready for him at all times, regardless.

3. The only degree Bruce actually puts into use is his M.D.

4. Clint not only loves traveling through the vents but he continues to do so despite constantly falling through the ceiling.

5. Part of Natasha’s Red Room training included how to dress her friends for Stark’s parties.

6. No matter what sexuality Steve tries he still has no game.

7. If you are ever recruited, Wanda will be your first and greatest friend.

8. Sam knows everything about everyone.

9. Vision has reverted to Jarvis in physical form.
