Types of Divination

I have touched a little bit on divination before in one of previous posts and I believe I did mention that I was going to be doing one of these post, so here you go!

I am not the most educated when it comes to divination, I know what I know and it works, so why should I try anything else? Because growth, girl! Because expansion of the mind! Because it’s damn amazing to know all these witchy things! That’s why!

So upon doing my mystical research, I honestly learnt some really cool forms of divination that I’m annoyed I didn’t know before, so here are the different forms of divination :

Tarot Cards - the most common form of divination on this planet (besides crystal balls). You go to a carnival and happen across a fortune teller in a caravan, what has she most likely got on the table in front of her? A crystal ball and tarot cards. The only difference here is that anyone who actually uses tarot cards knows that this is not going to “tell you your future”, it’s simply vague guideline, just some probable insight into the forces at work. When I first started I relied on this handy book that helped me translate every card through the reading, now I only look at it every now and then. Three-card spreads are my favourite! You can literally use them for anything. I personally don’t like just drawing cards, i lay them out and hover my hand over the top moving across the spread out cards and whenever I feel a slight tug I know that’s the card. I go over it a few times just to be sure, but i just don’t like picking random cards, not my style.

Nordic Runes - another one I am very familiar with, created by Odin and given to humankind as a gift. (”Oh, they’re lovely, thanks.”). When I first got into the craft I think it was one of the first few things I was taught out of my reading and the symbols and their meanings are fairly well known. I have passed a handful of strangers with runes tattooed on them and when asked about them they actually knew the meanings and details of the runes. Runes are similar to the tarot in the sense that they are a guideline not so much a prediction, also generally used to address issues. Readings are done by putting all the runes in a pouch and drawing, depending on the question, the select number of runes out. My go to number is always three. There are some amazing DIY’s for runes, but the real magic is in the carving of the runes. I really like the way they look when burnt into wooden disks, especially if the bark is still intact in the edges.

Celtic Ogham  - this is one I had surprisingly never heard of. Out of all the books I have read on Celtic magic and they failed to inform me of this? What the heck, guys? So, from my understanding, there are 25 letters in the Ogham alphabet; 20 if you wanna be super traditional. They have so many correspondences I will honestly need to learn them all, but now is not the time. It was supposedly created by Ogma, to show off how well spoken he was, or something like that. (I only skimmed the article when it came to this part, sorry guys.) Now the method for using the Celtic Ogham is very similar to runes. The symbols are normally carved onto wooden staves, placed into a pouch and drawn out when seeking the answer to a question. Very cool and I plan to DIY a set of these someday.

Tasseomancy - the art of reading tea leaves. This is one I haven’t tried, purely because drinking tea with loose tea leaves just sounds terrible. Basically you need to make your tea with the loose leaves and drink it. You have to leave a little bit of the tea left over to swirl the tea leaves around so that they can form a pattern. Just do it a few times so the leaves aren’t spread out everywhere. You might end up with one big picture or you will end up with a few little ones. In this case go clockwise around the cup. It works kind of like a timeline. Now look at your blobs and try to see the images in the blobs. There are plenty of guides for figuring out what these images mean or you could just go with your gut feeling.

Automatic Writing - this method uses the spirit realm to get messages. For this you would need to be in a meditative state, enter with a clear mind or a question or thought and, with a pen and paper in hand, just let the words come to you. You can even write the question or subject on the piece of paper and let the spirits take over. Like with any form of divination, you will need practice. If you have been sitting there for 20 minutes and haven’t gotten anything then maybe take a break and try to clear your mind a bit more. This method is used by loads of mediums for getting answers or just connecting to people who have passed on. I would advise that we take caution when it comes to using this method as it can open doors for spirits, not all of the things you’re opening yourself up to are friendly, so always make sure you are protected and ready for whatever there is to come.

Osteomancy - reading bones, being South African I’m fairly familiar with the cultural background of osteomancy. The Sangomas (basically the medicine men) of the villages have been known to use this method of divination. The way it’s done is the bones were placed into a bowl or pouch and mixed with various stones, shells and feathers and shaken out onto a mat. Reading it relies solely on intuition and requires a lot of training to master. Depending on the bone and it’s position on the mat, the way it’s facing, the objects surrounding it. In my opinion this is one of the most difficult forms of divination to master.

Scrying - this one is also pretty common and comes in loads of forms (I will need to do a separate post for all the different methods of scrying. There’s fire scrying, water scrying, using a black mirror, etc. There tons of different methods but I’m going to use the example of water scrying. Most people like using reflective surfaces to scry since it is the easiest. Simply clear your mind again or keep the intent in the back of your mind and focus on the water. Follow all the slight ripples until you’re fully connected to the small body of water. You could see images or shapes on the surface or you could see mental images. It’s different with everyone and what the universe is trying to show you.

Pendulum Divination - the easiest to make, since you can use your own necklace as a pendulum, this is purely for yes or no questions and is basically a simplified version of a ouija board. Again, take caution when working with spirits. You might think you’re talking to a recently deceased family member or one of your ancestors and it could end up being something else completely and be in a bit of trouble. When using the pendulum some people use sheets for more advanced questions but I would say just using the four directions; left, right, front and back; for answers. Ask some basic questions that you will know the answer to first to see which direction is “yes” and which is “no”. Once you have that down you can ask away.

Numerology - using numbers in divination. Numbers hold a lot of magical significance (any witch can tell you that). There are specific numbers that we like to stick to and we stick to it for a reason. Odd numbers are related to a feminine energy, while even numbers are related to masculine energy. Different numbers have different meanings and in order to use this method research should be done on the different meanings of numbers. Play around with numbers in magic. use numerology to find your birth number, name number, fate number, your pinnacle numbers, etc.

These are all the methods of divination I could cover for now. Watch this space for upcoming, in depth tutorials for each of these methods.

Astrology Observations - Moon edition

These are based on my personal observations.

1) Any sun sign when paired with a capricorn moon makes a very grounded individual due to the influence of saturn. Moon in capricorn tends to ground even fiery placements such as aries sun or a leo sun.

2) People tend to embody a lot of their moon characteristics in their appearance, e.g. an aries moon will end to have wolf like features.

3) Forget Aquarius and Capricorn moons, ever seen a virgo moon? These people are the real definition of “ I’m sad and I don’t care about it”. They feel emotions really deeply but will never break down or show it.

4) Pisces moon are the most complicated ones and they are really hard to understand due to the influence of Neptune. Being a mutable sign, before you could get their mood they would have already changed it. They are the easiest moon sign to find lol. If you feel like you can’t understand someone’s emotions at all then they will be most likely be a pisces moon.

5) People who have their moon signs as your rising or their moon falls in your 1st house have a huge impact on your moods. When they are down you can feel it and this placement makes the rising individual very anxious around the moon person.

Juno in the Signs & Houses

Juno was the third asteroid to be discovered. Juno is the wife of Jupiter. She has some similarities to Venus, but while Venus sparks that initial attraction, Juno makes the commitment. She sings of soul mates. As she moves through the sky, the face of relationships change, but she still stands for commitment of one kind or another.

Where you find Juno in your chart is where you may meet someone that you will remain with for a long relationship. She covers marriage, fashion and beauty. She is the patron of relationships and true love. Diplomacy is part of her sphere.

She has influence with the weather, flowers, fairness and female genitalia. She also dealt with many of Jupiter’s infidelities and thus has influence over the negative issues of spouse abuse, powerlessness, women’s rights (both positive and negative), rage, inferiority complexes and unfairness. She may also affect issues of denial, betrayal, inequality and of course bitterness.

Juno in Aries

Juno in Aries needs their own autonomy. If they don’t get that in a relationship they may end up with migraines or other physical displays of upset. They tend to be attracted to partners that are aggressive or dominant. While they want their own freedom, they also want a mate who will be an authority figure. They may see their partners as someone to compete with. They like to go adventuring together. They may need to learn how to develop balance in their relationships so both partners can pursue their own needs.

Juno in the 1st House

If Juno sits close to your ascendant, being married or committed could be tied to your identity and self-image.

The first house rules our approach, appearance and the way we look – Juno found here can make marriage super important – your partner could be the centre of your universe!

Juno in Taurus

Juno in Taurus wants a sturdy relationship built out of material security and loyalty. They want someone reliable and trustworthy who knows the value of a dollar. They want a harmonious relationship at home that will last a lifetime. They enjoy a sensual relationship and truly want to share their goals with their partner. They are dedicated and faithful forever, and they expect the same from their partner. They may be possessive or controlling or attract these same qualities in their partner. They are willing to stand up for their ideals as long as they have a steadfast partner at their side.

Juno in the 2nd House

Juno could lead marriage and partnership to be intertwined with money, possessions or the way you value yourself – self-esteem.

The second indicates what we value in the material realm, so the person with Juno in the second could be ‘married to their things’, with a love of accumulating more, including money. Marriage could be desirable as something to increase a sense of self-worth.

They could also view their marriage partner as something to be owned or a source of wealth.

Juno in Gemini

Juno in Gemini needs a partner who can communicate with them. They want a partner who is expressive and mentally stimulating. They like to share activities together. Sometimes they prefer to have multiple relationships instead of just one; conversely, they may prefer friendship to commitment. They like to play. Relationships may end up with one partner being more advanced in education or socially while the other is more dependent. They may also see their partner as capable of pursuing their own dreams. When they can’t communicate clearly they may get nervous and high strung. They need to clear up all misunderstandings right away and be able to have clear communication at all times to be happy.

Juno in the 3rd House

For the person with Juno is the third house, marriage will come with a focus on communication. Perhaps a partner will help this person to express themselves more easily or the relationship will be about ‘being heard’. The union will benefit from being able to talk with one another.

Juno in Cancer

Juno in Cancer needs emotional intimacy and a warm home environment. They nurture others by feeding them good food. They are attracted to partners who are nurturing and caring. They may appear to be dependent upon them or to be clingy or moody. They may use emotional blackmail to get what they feel they deserve. They can often manipulate others in very subtle ways. They feel strongly that justice must be served. They want a partner who is traditional and values the home and family. They like to care for their family and be cared for in return. They feel a strong need to commit to their relationship with all their might. They may need a lot of attention and may feel unfulfilled if their needs are not met. They are highly committed and loyal.

Juno in the 4th House

The person with Juno in the fourth will be attracted to a marriage partner who is domesticated and attached to the home environment, one who loves to nurture, cook and nest. With this placement, the native could become more home-loving after marriage. Another possibility is that the person is wedded to their home life, with an importance of building a family brood.

Juno in Leo

Juno in Leo wants romance and excitement to be happy. They want a partner they can be proud of and who will admire them as well. They don’t like to feel ignored or rejected. They can become rather selfish or use inappropriate means of getting attention. They like things to be equal. They are natural showmen and want to share the spotlight. They feel strongly towards their mates. They may be arrogant or immature and rather bossy. They can also be very generous and loving. They are decisive and seldom change their minds once they are made up.

Juno in the 5th House

Those with Juno in the fifth will want a partner with whom they can play, be romantic and get excited with. Children are likely to play an important part in the marriage, and its union can improve the creativity of the native.

Juno in Virgo

Juno in Virgo has high expectations in their partners, as they do in everything else. They will organize their relationships and expect them to remain efficient. They want perfection, and if their partner can’t reach that pinnacle they may be overly critical. They are attracted to partners who are efficient and oriented to the tasks at hand. They have their own sense of justice. They appreciate a partner who is ultra clean and who is unassuming when in public. Health is very important to them, so they want a partner who is also interested in healthy habits. They want stability, and in return will be loyal to the end.

Juno in the 6th House

The person with Juno in the sixth might have their most important relationships in work or through the workplace – or they could be married to their work! Co-operation is important in the relationship – these people need someone they can work with day-to-day, someone that’s reliable and attentive.

Juno in Libra

Juno in Libra wants balance and equality in their relationships. They want someone who will share the chores of making decisions and who will consult with them on everything. They are attracted to good manners and an attractive appearance. They want them to share their interests in social activities and artistic things. They love romance. They tend to become competitive when the relationship becomes unbalanced.

Juno in the 7th House

Relationships are key for those with Juno in the seventh. Placed in the house of partnership this person might seek marital, business or professional relationships to last a lifetime. They will be the cornerstone of life.

Juno in Scorpio

Juno in Scorpio needs an intense relationship with a lot of deep intimacy and sex. They may become manipulative and jealous, using sex as a way to control their partner. They want passion, loyalty and strength. They may be possessive and must learn to trust over time. They like mystery and power. They may be demanding or high maintenance. Once they are won over, they are loyal and dedicated, though they may always be a bit suspicious.

Juno in the 8th House

For those with Juno in the eight, sex is likely to be an important part of partnership, trust and power too. Marriage could be a transformative force, deeply emotional and intimate. Situated in the house of other people’s money and finances, your partner could regard you as a possession.

Juno in Sagittarius

Juno in Sagittarius wants intellectual stimulation in a relationship. They also want to share their belief system. They want a travel buddy and love adventures. Liberal and philosophical, they may be outspoken or competitive. They like independence and personal freedom, so a relationship with someone who wants a partner night and day would not work well with them. They want a shared camaraderie that will support each other’s freedom and yet strengthen their commitment. They prefer sports, law, philosophy and the outdoors.

Juno in the 9th House

The person with Juno in the ninth might wed a foreigner, someone born far away or with a different background, or they might have a wedding abroad!

They will need a partner with whom they can travel or go on a spiritual journey with, or someone to philosophise with about what they’re learning or have gleaned.

Juno in Capricorn

Juno in Capricorn is committed and traditional. They may base their relationship more on social expectations than on sharing their emotions. They want someone who is practical and good at organizing. They are not overly emotional. They are conservative and responsible and expect the same from their partners. They want someone they can trust. They are very loyal once they commit to someone. They may marry later in life. They are very captivating to the right person, in an earthy way.

Juno in the 10th House

Marriage for those with Juno in the tenth could be beneficial to career matters.

A partner could help in work, improve their social standing or the way the person is perceived and s breakup could affect career matters. Alternatively, the person could be wedded to their work!

Juno in Aquarius

Juno in Aquarius wants a relationship that gives them their freedom. They are rather unconventional and may prefer open marriages or other alternatives. They may also remain single yet enjoy the whole “friend with benefits” concept. They aren’t necessarily for equality in a relationship. They may either play the adoring mate or want their partner to be subservient to them. They appreciate eccentricity in their partner. They are progressive and friendly instead of passionate. They may be rather insecure at times. They are spontaneous and impulsive. They want someone who understands them and their needs and goals.

Juno in the 11th House

The person with Juno in the eleventh house could marry a friend or have a strong sense of friendship develop after marriage. They could be very involved in a social cause or activity, and the relationship might be based on a shared vision. These people are likely to value freedom in marriage.

Juno in Pisces

Juno in Pisces wants a special, spiritual bond. They want to share their ideals with their partner. They are attracted to those who are intuitive or sensitive. They enjoy sharing music, spirituality and poetry. They tend to withdraw when they are frustrated or want to escape into a fantasy world. They can use their subtle charms to manipulate others to their way of thinking. They may play the victim in some cases. They may use their imagination to create the perfect partner. They are very emotional and may have a problem dealing the world’s harsh realities.

Juno in the 12th House

With Juno in the twelfth house, marriage could feel like a bit of a non-entity! The marriage and commitment asteroid sits in a bit of a blind spot. Or there could be a karmic quality to relationships, a feeling of destiny or significance in a marriage union. Suffering and sacrifice could be involved, helping and supporting the partner, or perhaps the native could play the part of the victim in marriage.

🐝—🐝—🐝—🐝—🐝—🐝—🐝—🐝

🌻Moon in the 5th tend to be super gifted artistically. They tend to be very shy and self conscious about what they make, but it’s usually very cool. They usually start developing their talent at a young age and keep building on it over time. Also, since the 5th house rules children, it could mean they’ll have a very soft spoken/sensitive child (or cancer dominant one).

🌻Retrograde Neptune or Neptune in the 12th tend to have very vivid dreams. This sometimes also applies to people with Neptune-Moon aspects, but not always.

🌻Speaking of dreams, I’ve heard Pluto in the 12th individuals have a lot of Nightmares. I have a couple family members with this placement and while I partially agree with that, I’ve also noticed Pluto in the 12th tends to have very few dreams, or don’t remember any of them.

🌻Saturn in the 1st/conjunct ascendant people tend to be very tall. Long facial features are common with this placement too.

🌻I’ve noticed the sign we usually have the roughest relationships/dislike the most is the same sign as our 12th house. I’ve heard other people say it’s actually 6th or 8th, but with the majority of people I meet, It’s usually 12th.

🌻This ones a little sad, but I’ve noticed people with sun opposite moon or venus opposite mars tend to have separated/divorced parents.

🌻People with IC in Scorpio were probably considered pretty intimidating in their youth. Kids may have been scared of you for no reason. In extreme cases, Scorpio IC can show having to deal with the concept of death at a young age. Such as having a near death experience or have a family member die.

🌻This will probably make some people mad, but I have to say one more thing on Scorpio. The astrology community really needs to stop overseuxalizing Scorpio in general, BUT ESPECIALLY Venus and Mars. Now, while I do agree they can be very passionate, they usually take a very long time to let down their guard. They also tend to value intimacy/closeness in their relationships much more than anything else. While they can be kinky and all ~bad boy/girl~ like you all are describing, it’s WILDLY over exaggerated. Realistically, not many scorpio dominant or Scorpio venus/mars people fit that stereotype.

🌻Okay sorry about the rant, MOVING ON: Mars In capricorn would do really well working in some branch of the military. They tend to be pretty physically strong, and they usually respect/listen to orders and people in positions of power, but they won’t hesitate to talk trash about you if they think you are bad at your job ;) . They are also very good at commanding people and planning ahead. Also, if they are given any sort of power, they typically utilize it in a productive/positive way.

🌻Lilith and Venus in the 11th constantly flirt with their own friends. The difference between the two is Venus in the 11th is a lot more sweet/playful when they flirt, and Lilith in the 11th will be a lot more sexual/direct about it. But the downside to this is that both of those placements don’t even realize they are flirting half the time, and tend to get confused when their friends admit to having feelings for them.

🌻Side note about Lilith in the 11th! It can also manifest in the complete opposite way and make it so somebody has a very hard time making friends/doesn’t want friends. But if the Native does want friends or already has some, they will probably flirt with them in the way I mentioned in the paragraph above.

🌻People either seem to love or hate Sagittarius rising women. To be completely honest, Sag. rising women tend to be very attractive, and they’re usually pretty confident too. While none of that is bad, it definitely makes a lot of people jealous of them, or call them arrogant (even when they aren’t most of the time). The majority of them are also really blunt and have a crude sense of humor, which people either seem to love or hate about them. Sag. rising men are the same way, but for some reason people hate on them nowhere near as much

🌻Chiron/Mars in the 6th house/Virgo tend to have a huge fear of judgement, and they also tend to be overly self deprecating. Similarly, people with the moon in the 6th/Virgo always feel like something in their life needs to be “fixed” or that there is something they need to fix about themselves.

🌻On a lighter note, I honestly really admire people with Libra moon. Assuming their moon isn’t super harshly aspected (and if they don’t have a super strong/angry mars), they tend to be very good at staying calm in stressful situations. They also tend to have great coping mechanisms for when they get upset/overwhelmed. I’ve gotten close to a couple and they are some of the most emotionally stable people I’ve ever met.

🌻Harsh planets (like Pluto, Mars and Saturn) in either the 4th house/Cancer probably get nauseous or have stomach issues when they get nervous.

🌻Capricorn dominant/Capricorn IC children are scarily clever and calculating…every one of them I’ve met is wise beyond their years or acts like an “old soul”. They also tend to be pretty well mannered tbh, and adults typically like them.

🌻Gemini risings are usually pretty short/skinny, and if they have any older siblings they tend to look very similar to them. They typically make friends very easily as well.

🌻Rant #2 of this post: Why do air moons always get described as emotionless/robotic? As somebody with an air moon (with mostly air moon friends) this couldn’t be further from the truth. While it’s true we definitely try to diminish or run away from our feelings, we still feel things just as frequently and often as everyone else. I swear, some members of the astrology community think it’s impossible to have any emotional depth unless you’re a water moon (no hate to water moons tho, they’re cool n’ all).

🌻Pluto aspecting personal planets (especially harsher aspects) or having multiple planets in either the 8th/2nd house can make somebody more prone to obsessing over things/make it hard for somebody to let things go.

🌻Jupiter/Venus/Lilith in the 7th are usually very charming. It’s also not uncommon for them to have multiple people crushing on them at the same time.

🌻12th house planets are difficult. They aren’t bad, but they usually are a bit of a pain. The reason why is that the 12th house represents things that are hidden. So any planets in the 12th house represents a part of your personality that you probably have a hard time expressing. For example, Venus in the 12th Natives usually have a hard time expressing their romantic feelings. Mars in the 12th probably have a very hard time expressing their anger, and have a hard time standing up for themselves.

I have 12 house in aquarius and I am pisces rising and I think one of my friend might be libra ascendant with Libra in 12house..

Twelfth House In The Signs

Aries-

When the twelfth house is set in the sign of Aries, it is almost always a sign that problems with healthy boundaries will be present in a person’s life. Others will intrude in their world as if they had no membranes to recognize and defend themselves from those who steal their energy. In time, they will have to “remember” what it was like to follow the passion within, fight for their rights , yell at others if that is what the moments asks for, and be true about everything that is on their mind. While Aries would like to have a certain goal and aim all its energy towards it, this energy seems to get bent here only to end up in a strange subconscious state where it is neither manifested nor used. This is a position that speaks of a past life that ended in aggression, in the army or from fire weapons, sharp objects, and most often “before one’s time.”

Taurus-

If the twelfth house is in the sign of Taurus, the mystery of the material world can remain a hidden for years, as well as hedonism and the chase for satisfaction in this material world. This is a position typical for those who have never felt real pleasure, and everyone with secret sexual encounters, or at least those who have the need to eat hidden from everyone else. Spirituality and real talents fall into the sign ruled by Venus, meaning creativity and inspiration come as a given, but only once they are discovered and approached studiously. True intimacy is found in secret bonds, and warmth will have to be built in solitude, realizing at first just how much we are worth and only later starting to search for someone who will recognize this. If one wants to make their dreams come true, this position is perfect, for it brings the Earth into our personal dreamland, making everything we imagine possible.

Gemini-

The twelfth house in Gemini isn’t very easy because of its Piscean nature and everything it has to do with emotion as an entity entirely apart from rational thought. Speech can be impaired, while those with lower self-esteem easily turn to gossip and matters that aren’t theirs to discuss to begin with. This is also a position that could give a wonderful talent for languages, words and writing. It is a shame to use it on other people and spend too much time thinking of their business, abilities and weaknesses. Those born with the twelfth house in Gemini must have ended their past life with a vast desire to speak their mind, share their inner truth, and express their personality in some way. Ties that get created here will manifest through strange friendships and their relationships with children, but most of the time, they will manifest through difficulties in their mind they cannot fully explain.

Cancer-

With the twelfth house in the sign of Cancer, you can see a family secret instantly, as well as the tendency to idealize one or both of the parents. This is a burden of an entire family tree and a mark that debts were left in spheres of the emotional and the fragile within. Strange matters are hiding in the twelfth house and when Cancer is here, you can see these strange matters in one’s home and intimate relationships. Depending on a very personal position of the Moon, we will see how well incorporated this can be in their everyday life and if disappointment is their family story or not. The emphasis on sensitive emotion is also seen here, and we will come to find that the twelfth house cusp in any Water sign gives one the ability to feel what others feel, often being unable to recognize where one person ends and their emotional body begins.

Leo-

When the twelfth house begins in Leo, the personality itself seems to be strange, sensitive, and unknown. These individuals will have to learn about their power and their inner truth, while they remain in the blurry waters hidden from plain sight. This is often a signal that previous life carried a story of success, and image that was maintained and remained important to the person until they died. It can be extremely rewarding if unconscious memories of it are pleasant and bring confidence and peace. However, if there was any dishonesty in their approach once upon a time, this will be the life to rectify it, accept the flaws in others, those we don’t want to see and don’t want to show, and find brothers and sisters in crime finally set free from self-criticism. Since the clear image of one’s Self is blurry, overall good of the mankind will be important to these people, as well as humanitarian efforts they often turn to at some point in their lives.

Virgo-

If the twelfth house is in Virgo, we can almost imagine the mechanism in a person’s mind making them seem stupid when they want to show how smart they are, and incredibly intelligent at the most unpredictable situations. They will rely on their brains while practical matters will keep some of their mystery at all times. Ties created here will have to do with old, used things, those that can or cannot be fixed. That halfway principle of Virgo can be quite difficult when we speak of someone’s twelfth house, for dreams tend to get crushed by reality, sensitivity by common sense, and vice versa. If a person with the twelfth house in Virgo wants to find happiness, they have to realize where their true talent lies, so they can use it and share it with the world. Very often their talents will be found in writing, detailed analysis or communication with the strangest of beings here on planet Earth.

Libra-

With the twelfth house in Libra it seems inevitable to lie or be lied to, and usually both. Still, if we put this aside, we can see the magical story of Libra in this mysterious house and realize that someone we once left behind is there for us to find them again in this life. Things that were lost in our twelfth house have a tendency to show themselves someday. This goes specifically for great loves, and with strongly set Venus, even greater loving relationships. If Venus is not that strong in this kind of horoscope, the obvious debt has to be repaid through emotional sacrifice of some kind. In most cases, this will develop through a romantic relationship in which the trust has been broken, finally liberating the person from unrealistic expectations. This is always someone talented to recognize beauty, often artistic and with a knack for drawing or music. However, they have to be very careful not to disrespect people around them in any way so that their personality has room to grow.

Scorpio-

The twelfth house in Scorpio is an interesting place. Something as taboo and as hidden as Scorpio rarely finds an appropriate secretive hideout, but this position allows them to. The most unfortunate thing here lies in one’s ability to bury their own feelings, doings, or aspirations, finally ending up without any awareness of their true inner light. This is the sign that speaks of our shadows and everything we want to bury and dismiss along the way, and when it is set in such a secretive house, shoving things under the rug becomes a routine. This can make these people explode in numerous ways, ending up in strange circumstances, weird conversations, interventions, institutions or even jail. To see the magic in Scorpio this person has to be truly and deeply open-minded, fully willing to accept the most devastating, darkest and most dangerous emotions they carry within.

Sagittarius-

When the twelfth house is set in Sagittarius, we usually see someone who has no idea where they are going. Being lost seems to be the congenital disease in these people and they have no way of knowing where they want to end up. Ties were made to the most distant of places, and past life regression could help them discover where they have lived and what makes them lose their place and their hopes. Beliefs have to be examined, as well as their religion views. Blessings will come from the most unexpected people and places, and although there are a lot of secrets to be expected in lives of others, these individuals are able to sense anyone’s goodness of heart from miles away. This is a very strong position for spiritual work and meditation, but if they don’t get enough sleep, they risk their entire life passing them by.

Capricorn-

With the twelfth house in Capricorn, there is no knowing which responsibility falls under whose jurisdiction. The difficulty of this setting hides in the inability to see that a strong foundation makes all the work, and while good ideas can come a long way, they aren’t easily materialized if hard work isn’t put in. Even though it might not seem like it, this is one of the most demanding positions in the twelfth house, for it speaks of karmic ties and our strong, physical connection to past life experiences. Strange things will manifest as circumstances that are hard to avoid or overcome, with many obstacles standing in one’s way towards liberation. If Saturn is strong in a person’s chart, there will be a sense of security, wisdom and unconscious power in doing the right thing, and that will become a wind in their sails and open them up for real inner experience of faith.

Aquarius-

The twelfth house in Aquarius speaks of a stressful death that happened in our past life. This is a place of stress and strange mental orientation, pulling strongly with its humane gravity and the unconscious need to set free, set apart from everyone else, and sink into all natural oppositions as if there was no other way. Mending the differences and finding middle ground seems distant and impossible to these individuals, as if they had a talent for true friendship, but lack of awareness for those who don’t fall into this category. They need to learn to be humane, so charity work will come in handy, especially if they are the secret benefactor nobody knows about. Their eccentricity will make them happy but in secret and in silence, with as little words said as possible. Even though they might be on the mission of solitude, they are often calmed by the peace of their marriage and relationships that represent a good basis for their personality rather than making them feel at home.

Pisces-

If the twelfth house is set in the sign of Pisces, all secrets will be sunk even deeper than in other cases. This practically means that all digging through subconscious matter will have to be thorough and results will seem more distant than those others tend to dig up. Usually, these individuals tend to look forwards, fully unaware of their dependencies and ties to the mysteries of their distant past. They will live their lives unaware of their own inner faith, needing healthy sleeping routine in order to stay in a calm and peaceful state. In many cases, these people will sleep every day for eight hours, avoiding late nights out or losing sleep over any burning issues at hand. They understand that the night is not to be messed with and hide from their own family in plain daylight. With true faith in the background, it would be good to raise awareness about their talents and their true life within, however scary that might seem.

Your Moon sign and your relationship with your mother

The Moon in Aries person and their mother…

Your relationship with your mother is never boring. She is strong, emotionally clear and direct. However, because of your intense moon in Aries desire to be a strong leader who charts your own course, your mother can also seem overbearing and willful. This is due to your constant need to push your own agenda forward, which naturally meets resistance from your mother who doesn’t always agree with your plans. You see this resistance as willful and you believe it is only meant to sabotage your plans because you fail to realize that she only looking out for your safety and well being. So, you push her further. When she finally gets angry, you see her as antagonistic, selfish and belligerent. The more you push, the stronger she has to be to hold the line with you. As you get older, this cycle makes you see your mother as an assertive, strong willed woman who knows how to take care of herself.

The Moon in Taurus person and their mother…

As a moon in Taurus person, you have high expectations of your mother’s ability to provide for your practical, every-day needs. You expect her to be dependable and practical while making sure you have the necessities of life to remain comfortable. Life is meant to be savored and your mother is meant to provide the practical means for you to savor it. As you go through life, you ask her to provide you with a constant stream of things to make your life pleasurable and satisfying. If she is able to provide them easily, you see her as a sweet, reliable provider who is always there for you. If she isn’t always to provide them, you see her as an overly practical person who is stubborn and too careful with money. However, because your nature is gentle and sensitive, yet persistent, you push her to her limit to make sure you can get what you want. Yet, you never push her hard enough to make her attitude toward you turn angry and sour. So, you generally see her as kind.

The Moon in Gemini person and their mother…

Your light, detached, active and agile Gemini moon always keeps your mother on her feet. You are like a feather dancing in the wind and she can never quite catch you. She quickly realizes it is useless to try and gives you the freedom you always assume is normal in life. Her reaction to and acceptance of your need to run free makes you see your mother as light and detached, but she is only reacting to your behavior. You are never going to accept a slow, restricted life. So, if your mother allows you space, you see it as a bit flighty or disconnected at times. If she fights you on this, your quick mind will likely find plenty of sharp and unfortunately often painfully precise verbal rebuttals. Her reaction to these rebuttals will make you believe she has the sharp tongue not you. However you do look to her as a source of information and as a teacher. You always know you can learn from her, and your inquisitive Gemini moon delights in her as a person with whom you can exercise your mind or sharpen your mental claws. Because she can always engage you in games, conversation or any kind of mental gymnastics, you come to see her as intelligent, someone with a sharp mind, or at the very least, someone who is always there to chat.

The Moon in Cancer person and their mother…

You see your mother as someone who goes through a lot of emotionally exhausting times in her life. It’s not that she’s weak, but she is someone who lands in situations that constantly try her emotional strength. Your need for her motherly nurturing gives you a deep emotional connection with her. It’s your need for her emotional attention that makes you focus on her and gives you insight into her emotional ups and downs. You are focused on her, and because she can’t give you attention you need when she is in pain, you almost feel the pain with her. Your need for her love gives you a desire to see your mother as sensitive and caring. Then when she isn’t, your reaction can be quite powerful. Even the hint of rejection from her sends you into emotional turmoil. The pain of her rejection, which may only be temporary, beyond her control or for your own good, will make you reflect your bad feelings back onto her because they are too painful to claim as your own. It has to be her fault, otherwise you just can’t cope. Then suddenly she becomes the mean person who is purposely hurting you, when you are likely just blinded by your own pain. Your feelings for her are strong and you need her in your life, caring for you. She is a pillar for you and you rely on her, but you it doesn’t just work one way. You are also always there for her.

The Moon in Leo person and their mother…

A big presence, whether for the better or worse, describes your mother. She is expressive and doesn’t hold back her true feelings. You always know where you stand with her because she tells you what’s on her mind immediately. Your up-front approach in dealing with hermakes this possible for her. You don’t mind calling her out on any lies she tells you and you have no problem telling her to mind her own business or stop treating you like a child. This stems from the high sense of pride you have in yourself. It fuels your need to keep a balance of power in your relationship. So, when pressed, you aren’t afraid to raise your voice to your mother and tell her how you feel about whatever she is saying or how she is dealing with you. However, your sense of pride in yourself also makes you self-conscious and it gives you a haunting desire to assure yourself that your mother likes you. You must constantly balance your need to maintain power with your need to be accepted and liked.

The Moon in Virgo person and their mother…

Somehow even as a young child you are acutely aware of the give and take dynamic in relationships. Your sense of how much your mother does for you and how well she cares for your needs is acute. So, it’s difficult for her to measure up to your expectations and it often seem she isn’t meeting your needs. At these times, she seems flighty. It can be frustrating for you because she isn’t always available when you need her. It can seem like a certain need for freedom seems to lead her away from you, and you often feel like you are more of adult than her. At the same time, her need for freedom gives you freedom, which you need even if you don’t always realize it. Unconsciously you prefer your relationship to be exactly how it is. Your Virgo moon is critical by nature, so it’s nearly impossible for anyone to measure to your standards especially someone as important as your mother. In your youth, she is the center of your world and because your focus is centered on her, your critical nature can’t help but analyze her every action. Despite your acute sense of her shortcomings, you accept them as being part of a her.

The Moon in Libra person and ther mother…

Your mother has standards for your relationship that are clearly defined and understood. She has certain expectations that she always assumes you will fulfill, and you usually do. However, without realizing it, it’s actually you who worked to define these rules in order to assure you are always treated fairly, kindly and to assure that your mother will always be there for you. Your expectations and reactions to your mother have served to set up a protocol in your relationship that keeps things peaceful between you. Over time, you each have come to understand your roles. You both know what behavior keeps things fair between you, and therefore, keeps the peace. Although your relationship can, at times, seem a bit formal and structured, it gives you comfort know that as long as you both follow the rules, you will both be happy. You are always careful to tactfully maintain a certain element of control in the relationship so that you can keep your mother close to you, but still make your own decisions, and you mother unconsciously understands that you do this.

The Moon in Scorpio person and their mother…

Your mother sparks more emotion in you than she realizes. You know she cares about you intensely, but she can be too close to you when you need space and too distant when you need her close. From being overly concerned with things that you want to disregard, to becoming enmeshed in your life when you need emotional privacy, it often seems that she is out of tune with your emotional rhythm. But your passionate, and at the same time private, nature creates this very dynamic that ends up driving you crazy. Although you need her close for emotional reassurance and support, you also have a tremendous need for emotional privacy. It’s difficult for her to accurately gauge your varying needs for closeness and distance. In trying to figure you out, she may probe you for feedback, which usually makes you clam up in silence. Your resistance can be frustrating and can spark an angry response from her, which makes you see her as aggressive and controlling. However, it’s most likely you who is trying to maintain control, and she is the one reacting to you. So, depending on your reactions to her, you see her as a powerful ally in your life who is willing to do anything to protect you when you are willing to trust her with your deepest emotions. However, when you aren’t willing to open up and trust her, you see her as manipulative and controlling.

The Moon in Sagittarius person and their mother…

You are difficult to contain and control, so your mother may have a difficult task at hand in raising you. You require freedom. It’s not an option. If your mother isn’t willing to give it you, your struggle to get it can exhaust her because you’re will not give up until you get it. As a universal sign, you have an “above it all” attitude that makes you feel as though you are very mature and wise, no matter your age. The whole childhood thing can make you restless because you experience the world through the eyes of one of the older astrological signs. For this reason, you see your mother as less mature than she should be. Your moon in Sagittarius vantage point makes you critical of her, and her faults are obvious to you. The fact that you see them, makes her merely human in your view and you can’t understand why you should be subject to her commands or requirements when you are both just two humans. From your perspective, she has just as much to learn as you. She is fallible and often immature. In your view, her need for freedom is just as strong as yours. You both deserve to enjoy it, not just her. She comes off as hypocritical because she holds you to standards that she can’t live up to in her own life. What’s more, her inability to see this makes her seem naive to you and makes you feel even more like you should be in charge of your life.

The Moon in Capricorn person and their mother…

Some way or another, your mother always leaves you feeling vaguely guilty. She may not come right out and say things to make you feel guilty, but they may be subtly woven into her comments. Or in many cases, she just seems to have a very difficult life, and your joys are dimmed in comparison to her hardships. In either case, she controls you with guilt because your Capricorn moon can’t help but empathize with any suffering she encounters. You know your mother always has a serious core to her regardless of her outer attitude. She always puts work before play and she never stops planning for the future. She is security oriented and very aware of the how the worst can always happen. You have a driving desire to help her and you always believe she does everything in her power to provide the best for you. On some level, you always feel like she could just make some changes in her life to make things easier for herself but it never happens. She recognizes your ability to act maturely and she often relies on you for practical and emotional support.

The Moon in Aquarius person and their mother…

Your emotional maturity and strength is fully developed from such a young age that your mother’s ability to help you grow and support you is almost unnecessary, making your relationship with her a bit distant and detached. You just don’t seem to need the coddling that many other people enjoy as children. If anything, you notice that your mother could actually use some. However, you see this intellectually, not emotionally. So, you aren’t one to cry with her, hold her closely and have deep emotional conversations. Rather, you simply don’t burden her with your problems. You give her space to live her life and time to deal with her issues. It’s almost odd when she reprimands you or treats you like a child. There’s always a part of you that sees the whole thing as very silly and unnecessary. You know when you have done something you shouldn’t have, and her attempts to guide you are nice, but not really helpful. However, it doesn’t take very long for her to catch on to your level of maturity and treat you more as equal from a rather young age.

The Moon in Pisces person and their mother…

Its seems that your mother is forever surmounting difficulties. An emotional strength that isn’t always obvious pulls her through her life. The sacrifices she makes for you and your family are made out of necessity and she doesn’t ask for thanks. However, they do draw her away from you. From a young age, you accept this and you grow up very quickly because of it. With all that she deals with, you know it would be wrong to burden her with too many of your problems. You are strong enough to help yourself with most things and she respects you for it. Yet at times, you can’t help but feel like you would like to be more of a helpless child. Even though you are emotionally tough, you sometimes feel like you would like to be able to just rely on her instead of being the strong child she expects you to be. So often she seems to be lost in her own world, which consequently leaves you lost in your own world. You’re not always sure she realizes this and so at times it feels like you are bit lost.
