Headcanon that horn color = blood color. Methinks subspaces horns used to be more red, but after he got poisoned, his blood turned more pink.

No idea how this would work with coil, hes an enigma. I looked at gameplay and it looks like only his crystal horn changes color, so i assume its the crystal at work

Also dyeing your horns is more like painting your nails, and you can put fun designs and patterns if you want. Maybe even the glitter clear coat
