Am I the only one who sees the similarities between the (lesbian) friendships of Enid and Wednesday and Glinda and Elphaba
After listening to Wicked, I realized that "What Is This Feeling?" and "For Good" give such Johnshi vibes.
Elphaba and Glinda's relationship is similar to Johnny and Kenshi's. Like the two women, Johnny and Kenshi started disliking each other intensely and were unwilling to resolve. But it changed when an important moment brought them together- Elphaba wore Glinda's "gift" and Glinda danced with her when no one else would while Kenshi lost his sight protecting Johnny and Johnny took care of and encouraged Kenshi to keep going. Elphaba and Kenshi are similar since they are more withdrawn and serious. The same for Johnny and Glinda who are more comedic and self-centered, but kind. In the end, I like to believe Johnny and Kenshi see each other as the one that changed them for the better. That's why I love their intros together since we see how much they care about each other- Johnny asking Kenshi if Jax is a good guy and calling him his best friend while Kenshi takes time to go to Johnny's movie shoot and trusts him to take down the Yakuza by his side. If they become a couple at some point, I would beam with joy. They would be a great couple. I kind of doubt it could happen because of BladeCage, but I'm still going to dream.
Anyway, I'm going to be listening to "For Good" with Johnshi playing through my mind. š
Here are mine(in no particular order):
On My Own: Although Iāve havenāt experienced romantic love yet, I adore this song! Itās well orchestrated and sung by Frances Ruffelle, her voice is beautiful.
The Wizard & I: I can relate to Elphabaās wish to be accepted since I felt that way too. Idina Menzelās sings amazingly and gets into character so well. I also saw this song performed live and the way itās done on stage made me like this song more.
Satisfied: Love the blending of rapping and regular singing in this song. It works so well! RenƩe Elise Goldsberry nails it and made me see Angelica in a different, but good way.
Breathe: I havenāt heard the whole soundtrack yet, but āBreatheā is such a standout to me so far. Again, I relate to Ninaās fear of disappointing her family(I feel that way 24/7). Mandy Gonzalez sings very well and her high notes are delightful to hear. As an Hispanic, I really enjoyed the addition of Spanish.
I Donāt Need Your Love: Izuka Hoyle nails the vulnerability of Catherine Parrās sad story of losing her love, and her growing confidence in herself later on. The latter part of the song makes me feel so powerful. All the women singing together by the end was so good! Their voices blended so well together.
Elphaba not realizing the witch hat wasn't actually a good hat, and just wearing it because Galinda told her to one time when they were teenagers
Haven't spoke to her for like two years? Gotta wear the hat anyway.
Haven't seen anyone else wear smth like that? Probably just wear it anyway, she's good at that kinda stuff.
Galinda hates you? Well she doesn't hate the hat, stick that on.
My internet is back, baby!!!! And I'm back on feeding people with low standards, who loves Pikeman and musicals. I felt shity when it was +16 ā,thunderstorms on the streets and no Wi-Fi,so I made myself feeling even shittier, while I was drawing them.

Found this on TikTok and Idina and Kristen finally kissed at the end of for good
here is a part that I thought went well when I was still editing the gelphie edit
I just made another gelphie edit instead of sleeping, I like this one so I hope you guys like it too
I finally made my first Gelphie edit, I had to delete so many things just to make space to make this edit, Iām so proud of this too, itās so satisfying how the scenes go to the beat of the song at times, also the song is Trouble by Cage The Elephant
This is the best thing Iāve seen all day
Someone needs to edit elphaba to this song, if any one does send it to me somehow
I just realized I donāt think I posted my Gelphie playlist that I made, so here it is

That quote can also work with Gelphie

I tried making a sad glinda animation, because sheās so me, my sad little meow meow, also I havenāt animated in a long time so I hope itās good, this took me 6 hours
Was searching through Gelphie twitter again and found this beautifully sad Gelphie animatic and I need more people to see it
Was looking through Gelphie twitter and found this and thought I should share it on here
when i say back on my Wicked bullshit i mean back on my Wicked bullshit
Me, scrolling through my liked posts so I can find the artist of what I wanted to put as my pfp, that way I could give them credit:
āItās so hard being a good personā
ALWAYS give credit to the people who make the memes/art you use on your page :)
This has been a PSA. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
(I would have used a meme here but I couldnāt find one that fit)
If you did this you'll probably die.
I forced my parents to watched Wicked and we've invented a new drinking game for the movie:
Take a shot every time someone says a silly version of a normal word (ex. "gratitution" instead of "gratitude")
I dedicate this post to the funniest beef ever
This defeatist attitude of "well it is what it is, gofundmes will keep stagnating and won't work" will push people away from trying to organize anything and those who are sitting on their hands will get one more affirmation that this is a lost cause. Palestinians are literally dying! Need I remind you that these fundraisers are their lifelines?? It has been repeatedly said that if someone cannot donate, then they should at least boost and that means more than just reblogging-> posting on other social media/ sending it to group chats/ sending it to your family, friends, colleagues etc to seek out potential donors. There is more than one way to help...Anyway I got this comment under a post I made for Siraj Abudayeh. Idk what else to say except to request you to not be complacent, as this harms him and every other Gazan who is fundraising to survive.
Donate and if you can't then boost. We have to get to 60k by tomorrow.

I headcanon that in Winkie Country, all royal family members are assigned a Steed to acompany them wherever they go when they leave the castle or attend formal events. Itās indicative of their (in my headcanon) respect and bond with Animals and Horses hold a high position in society and court. Theyāre assigned to their master/mistress when they are preteen-ish, so Fiyero was assigned Feldspur when he was maybe 12 or 13 and Feldspur was a yearling. The two bonded instantly and the rest is history š
I don't know if the movie is even thinking this deep but, hey, everyone, what are our headcanons/theories on who Feldspur is to Fiyero?
My thoughts are that he's probably Fiyero's valet or something similar, and they're genuine friends beyond that.
Forgive me if I missed this, but I couldnāt find anything anywhere so ima ask here:
Is āWinkieā considered bad in the musical/movie verse as it is in the books? From what Iāve heard and read in the musical, script, and movie I donāt think anyone actually uses the word āVinkusā and fiyero has said āwinkieā himself as few times, seemingly without shame. And it also seems kinda weird that if Winkies were looked down upon, the shiz gazette (shiz website has a lot of zoom ins of pamphlets and such) and the students wouldnāt be fawning over him and his people as much as they do?
............
really had to force the jalliteration (jmastermind ji jknow)
also, before anyone tells me that the title doesn't make sense
yes it does.
sorry for the lack of posts in may, it was a mess and nothing was very new from april so i thought it wouldn't be very notable to write about.
this month has been a whirl wind of events. most notably, i applied and got into a summer residential at the University of South Wales, i'm afraid because of my parents and their safety concerns, i won't be able to attend. i also got tickets to an open day at a film school in London! whether or not i'll be able to attend in July is still quite unclear.
i also went on a bus and travelled outside of my own city for the first time, which was super, super stressful but also really exciting! even if it was a village only 20 minutes away, the friend i was supposed to meet slept in that day and had me bawling on the empty street before grabbing the first bus i saw and hoping i was going the right way. another friend from mosque ended up taking me out to try Baskin Robbins (their chocolate brownie fudge ice cream is to die for)
if there's anything i'm going to always remember from this month though, it has to be my first time at the theatre to see WICKED! at The Apollo Victoria.
I can't even begin to describe it, every detail was on point, the staging felt so real it was surreal, it felt more like a movie than a live performance with all the effects and fantastical props (especially the Wizards giant puppet) and costuming (the emerald city costumes were my favorite) the *minor spoilers* love triangle was very unexpected when it was first introduced, I like how perfectly the narrative fit with the original story of The Wizard of Oz instead of twisting it. Defying Gravity gave me goosebumps. if i had to have one complaint, it would be that the crowds cheering didn't let me catch every word.
After the show was over we got to have our own little qna with the main ensemble, i can't remember everything off the top of my head but the two parts that stuck with me were the answers on starting their careers and being constantly rejected at first. Fieros actor had said "it's not rejection, it's redirection" and the actor for Glinda saying that everyone has a thing "let's say yours is wearing pink, even if you get rejected because of that keep doing it, you'll eventually find someone else who loves wearing pink too". She had called it a weird analogy afterwards, but it was on repeat in my head and pink happens to be my favourite color to wear so it felt a little special coming from someone so cool.
that same day we got to walk around London and all i can say is that I've never felt so at home. well, until next time! Amina
this is like COMPLETELY RANDOM LOL
