I need to know the story of the chili plushie

because in the car it looks like charles had it and then gave it to carlos?

and then when they're entering the paddock charles throws it to carlos

but then while they're walking in the paddock charles has it again?

so who gave the plushie to whom and who has it now or are they sharing custody of the chili
