Curate, connect, and discover
hey (with the intention of following you down 'til the sound of my voice will haunt you)
This whole time I thought your pfp was Sammy… I just now clicked on it
I love sammy but nope it’s stevie nicks, but now that you mention it i can see the resemblance.
ok this might just be a personal experience for me but hearing the song “Landslide” at the end of “You’re Getting Old” (s15e07) was the biggest and final thing that made the episode really HIT HOME for me.
that song and fleetwood mac as a whole is such a childhood staple for me- i always heard so much about them from my mom and nowadays i hold them in a very high regard as one of the influences for what my music taste would end up being like.
so hearing that song at the end of an episode about a kid going through quite literally the same emotional struggle and changes as i did at that age?? holy SHIT.
even now i’m still learning to deal with those changes.
i think it ultimately reminded me that yeah, i miss my childhood more than anything but the change i’m going through at those point in my life is helping me become a better person as a whole. so i embrace whatever my future holds for me
anyways wanted to rant a little. have a nice day
As if I couldn't love Stevie Nicks any more she's revealed she's got an idea for a 2nd season of "Daisy Jones and the Six" and it's based on what she wanted to have happen for her and Lindsey if everything had worked out and he changed!!! 😀 Don't get me wrong she was better off without him, however, when it comes to this show Daisy and Billy do have a 2nd chance and I like Stevie's idea of them getting the band back together to make another album and possibly making their relationship work now that they're older. I really didn't want them to make a 2nd season as Taylor's book ends fine and the show did too, but after reading what Stevie said I can see this idea working. But like she said too all the actors are working on other projects now and are so busy that they might not be able to find the time to do it. So if it happens I'm all for it, or even if it convinces Taylor to write a sequel if they can't film it.

Sister said I looked like Stevie Nicks, top tier compliment
Some recent vinyl pick ups
Band AU but Fleetwood Mac style where the entire band consists of the bitchest and pettiest exes possible and then there’s that one character in the corner who just wants to make cool music with his friends
“When the band went to London, Nicks scoured the flea markets in Chelsea and on Portobello Road for Victorian lace — “the real deal,” she says. At five foot one, Nicks likes anything with volume that gives her more stage presence, like the endless shawls and scarves she spreads wide into wings. (Among the boxes packed for her spring tour, there’s a giant bin marked Stevie’s saris.) And, along with the platforms, that iconic top hat added height. “I found a top hat at a thrift store in Buffalo, New York, on our first tour, and I loved it,” she says. “Now I have several. It really became part of my look.”

I know it' been done but I just realized how Lucy Gray coded Silver Springs is and I'm obsessed

This Song Has A Chokehold On Me It Really Speaks To Me As Someone Who Has Felt This Way And It Is Engraved Into My Mind, Heart And Soul. This Song Really Makes Me Feel A Kind Of Way And Is Both Soul Crushing And Heart Healing For Me. Stevie Nicks Has Inspired Me And Captured Me Since I Was A Small Child, As Has Fleetwood Mac. As A Musician Myself Who Also Writes Songs In The Rock Genre Seeing People Like Her And Christine As Well As Joan Jett, Heart, The Pretty Reckless (Fronted By Taylor Momsen), Halestorm (Fronted By Lzzy Hale) And Evanescence (Fronted By Amy Lee) And Others Made Me Feel Good About Being A Woman Who Wants To Pursue The Rock/Metal Zone Of Music And Made Me Feel Like I Could Really Go For Something And Succeed. I Will Always Cherish Songs Like Silver Springs, What They Have Done To Me In Terms Of Emotional Reaction, Inspiration And Just Getting Me Trough Shit! Life Is Tough And Music Has Always Been A Source Of Comfort For Me And Seeing Females Do Well In These Genres Has And Will Continue To Inspire And Fuel Me, Part Of Why I Am Who I Am Today And Why I Believe I’m Still Here Is Music And Seeing Women Create Magic In Rock And Metal And Seeing Myself In Them And In Their Work.
I Hope To Write, Perform And Create The Same Magic In A Future Song Of Mine The Way That Stevie Did! And I Hope To Speak My Truth Through My Music In This Same Hauntingly Beautiful Way. Stevie Nicks I Love You And You Saved Me, The Band Did Too But This Woman Gave Me Some Special Kind Of Confidence, Love And Respect For Myself And The Belief That I Can Go Out There And Do It. I Will Always Be Grateful And Thankful To Fleetwood Mac For Existing Especially Stevie… And I’m Thankful To The Other Rock/Metal Musicians Specially In This Case The Women For Contributing To My Happiness And My Passion For Success In Music And Also In Life. 🩷✨

HEALTH, the experimentally inclined noise band from LA covers their homie Pictureplane's "Goth Star", which in turn was created around an iconic sample from Fleetwood Mac's "Seven Wonders".
I'm just waiting until someone kills it with Stevie Nicks' "Stand Back". God, now talk about a hook of a synth line. MONEY.
