Found this lovely tidbit on Twitter. Couldn’t agree more.

Sir Terence David John Pratchett, known to all of us as Sir Terry Pratchett. Was an english author, humorist, satirist and novelist. Best known for his work such as good omens, Discworld, night watch and many more. Sir Terry Pratchett was the UK's best- selling author of the 90s.

The good omens series was Sir Terry Pratchett's dying wish to Neil gaiman, he wrote Neil a letter, in the letter he told Neil to make the tv adaptation of good omens. Unfortunately he passed away before he ever got a chance to see it. He will always be part of the good omens series, his hat and scarf is in the show, and so is his spirit.

As a rather new tumblr member I am still astonished which kinds of days this community commemorates/celebrates/comes up with. You learn something new along the way.

Even though I am an avid reader I haven´t peeked into one of these books yet (but I have heard about them), which might have to change in the future. And since I am always up for broadening my horizon and getting to know new authors and their work(s) both books are coming on my TBR-list. I just have to answer the question in which language I want to read them (first). Might start with german, since its my mother tongue. 🤔

Anyways to all who happen to have a special place in their hearts and minds for the may 25th: Have a good one! 🪻💜🥚

As Pratchett wrote once: „Do you not know that a man is not dead while his name is still spoken?“

Both men might not be alive anymore, but as long as their names are still spoken and their books are cherished, they might live on. TODAY IS A DAY TO REMEMBER THAT AND READ! Are you currently in between pages of one of those books?
