Wonder if Brady and Boomer had s'mores before....
Boomer's PSA to the island about having safe sex.
Pair of Kings never had the "guy character dresses up as a girl for - reasons" because they knew king Brady trans would be too powerful.
I don't need to add anything to this
brady is/was the better brother im sorry
i said what i said and i meant it
There should be more P.O.K fanfic on AO3. I feel like there is a lot to work with and fans have room to really build the world.
I feel like Chuck got scarier through the years. Now he's got a strange feral Gollum energy.
Adam Hicks went to prison and after coming out, made a rap song that was kind of good.
I've grown as a person, happy birthday to Boz too. His season was sort of enjoyable as well.
Happy belated 29th birthday (1 day off) to these two Goofy Gubers. I can't believe the show has been gone for this long.

In episode 19 The Trouble With Doubles, Mason claims the code to the vault is his birthday: 118
Which is it, Mason. Better keep your story straight.
You were afraid of Pupaley? I can't judge you, I was afraid of that Zack and Cody episode where they went into the haunted apartment room.
My non-horror, media-related childhood trauma story is that I was scared shitless of a particular episode of that Disney sitcom with twin kings. The episode was about this Bigfoot-looking creature they found in the woods. The way it just looked like a goofy little guy, but would suddenly turn into a scary beast with glowing red-eyes was so fucking disturbing as a kid.
A funny P.O.K joke would have been if throughout the first season, Brady and Boomer did not know Lanny's name and called him names like Randy or Andy, and the names progressively got further and further from his actual name.
"This is our cousin, Louisiany."
Not even a random child, his distant descendant was groomed by him to help kill his other descendants - the kids cousins - and only the kid could hear him speak. Pair of Kings was such a fever dream kids show!
A friendly reminder that Lanny’s ugly Fish, Yamakoshi, was actually an Evil King turned into a fish who proceeded to groom a child into murdering the next kings for him so he could steal the crown for himself.
Pair of Kings Harlem Shake video by DenBlueFun99. They edited this wonderfully!
Always been my own personal Pair of Kings headcannon that Brady is trans. Doesn't necessarily fit with the plot but... y'know, spices up Kinkow.
Makes the name calling of Lady Parker far hurtful.
Even though it was a children's show, I'm glad their characters mourned his absence with the audience. They didn't pull a Due South and just replace the main actor with a man who looks NOTHING like him and claim "that's the same guy, I dunno what you're talking about."
I’ll never forgive POK writers for destroying these two beautiful bonds in season 3.
The first episode is such a brilliant tv movie. The show was unfortunately on Disney XD, a far smaller platform. Disney had Good luck Charlie, Wizards of Waverly Place, Suite Life on Deck, and Ant farm at the time of it's airing. Too many powerhouse shows were ongoing at the time. XD only had Lab Rats and Zeke and Luther as popular live action shows. There was far less incentive to watch XD - let alone a new show! It's sad to know such a great show had so little chance for success.
Let’s talk about the fact that Pair Of Kings had everything to be a great series and yet it wasn’t?
I mean, it had magic, space for racial diversity (Kinkow is literally in the Southern Pacific, and the main characters are biracial) and cultural diversity/differences, politics, war, it’s a coming of age story, and the base for the characters is good.
It had everything to be awesome, yet most of the writing in it sucked; there was little to no planning, which resulted in lots of inconsistencies in the story line; most of the characters didn’t really get character arcs except for – specifically in season 3 and not that well done either – Boomer, Lanny, and Boz; the lore wasn’t properly developed (the lore is literally one of the most important parts in worldbuilding); not to mention that the show was downright misogynistic various times.
And it really hurts me that it was like that because it had so much potential, the character dynamics were great, the comedy was on point, the setting was amazing – how did Disney dare to waste it?
Season 3 was also tragic because they altered Boomer's character into more of the serious/less dumb brother. Boomer and Brady played off one another excellently as equals. Boz and Boomer did not, seen by making Boz the 'outsider' comic relief while Boomer became the "mature" brother. Frankly, tragic!
friendly reminder that this beautiful bond was completely destroyed by season 3, which turned Brady into some kind of asshole who left his goddamn twin without even talking to him properly just because of some stuff Candace (not even Mikayla herself!) said.
and that’s why season 3 (and Boz) doesn’t exist for me. no one can replace Brady for Boomer, and definitely not some stranger who appeared out of nowhere and suddenly happened to be their long lost triplet.
friendly reminder that Brady Parker did everything he could to protect his brother from public embarrasment even if it meant making a fool of himself.
friendly reminder that Brady Parker hid his own singing talent because he didn’t want to be better in smth than Boomer was.
friendly reminder that Brady Parker saw the man who bullied and humiliated him for years in the same position and said “We have to let him down. We are kings, not bullies”.
friendly reminder that Brady Parker became Sirocco because he couldn’t let Lanny take their people’s money. Even though he and Boomer were broke and kinda needed it.
friendly reminder that Brady Parker literally risked his own life to save Boomer from that lava bridge without even hesitating
friendly reminder that Brady Parker went into the hive to giant bug which could bite his head at any moment just to get Mikayla a cure.
friendly reminder that Brady Parker hugged Mikayla even though she literally looked like a bug, and he did it without any disgust.
friendly reminder that Brady Parker always admitted that he was wrong and tried to fix what he’d done.
friendly reminder that Brady Parker is a fucking teenager who was bullied in school for years and has insecurities and trauma and self-esteem issues because of it. and his flirting is a defensive mechanism because he is afraid of being rejected.
friendly reminder that Brady Parker is the best character in this show, and there is nothing you haters can do with it.
