Interview with Nele, Nika Shakarami’s girlfriend by Zeit Magazine
‘‘Nika loved the moon, and it became an important symbol in their relationship, says Nele. When they missed each other, they would say: “We don’t live in the same country, but beneath the same sky.” Sometimes, Nika would tell Nele over the phone that she was looking at the moon, saying: You should go outside too, Nele, so we can look at it together. They even called each other “my moonie.” Or Niki and Neli. Or Haku and Chihiro, like the main characters in the anime film “Spirited Away,” which both of them loved. The story involves a courageous boy helping a shy girl escape a world full of monsters. “That was us,” Nele says today‘‘
Nika Shakarami was a 16 year old brave Iranian girl who was kidnapped by the police during the ongoing protests in Iran, brutally tortured, raped and murdered in cold blood. Her burial was on her birthday. Say her name, Nika Shakarami
Freedom for Iran and the Persian people 🙏
40th day since Ghazaleh Chelabi was murdered in the protests against dictatorship and misogyny. Women are burning their hijab at her graveside.
This is Yalda Aghafzali. She was 19. She was arrested during protests and was kept for 11 days in Qarchak prison, a notorious women-only prison. It is famous for inhuman and violent behavior towards women. A former prisoner once called it "a place of exile where you wait for your gradual death".
Yalda committed su icide a couple of days after her release. In a series of voice messages she sent to her friends after her release she said:
I've never been beaten in my life as much as I got beaten now. My whole body hurts. I've screamed so much my voice is hoarse. But I expressed no regret. They wrote in my file "the accused did not express remorse", I was like YEAH EXACTLY!
#RIP another life is taken by the demonic #IslamicRepublic

I’m asking the Iranian people what else can I do besides posting on my blog to help the Iranian people cause I want to spread awareness past social media what can I do?
An art gallery in Tehran
The teargas effect is reduced by smoke. That's one of the reasons why protesters put dumpster cans on fire. The smoke null the teargas. Cigarette smoke is also helpful when blowing in face. It soothes the eyes.
Iran never stopped fighting you just choose to ignore what was happening
Elica LeBon effectively describes the context of current events in Iran in this TikTok video. As she said, this isn't something that started only a few months ago; Mahsa Amini's death was just another boiling point that has become the point of no return. These are the feelings of Iranians.
Please share.
So, I'm sure that everyone who's been following current events in Iran has heard of the story of Kian Pirfalak by now. For those of you who don't know, Kian was a nine year old boy who was randomly shot to death in his family's car by someone from the regime, and his father had to be hospitalized due to sustaining horrible injuries himself. His family has constantly been threatened and harassed for wanting to tell the truth about their son's death. (I'll spare you guys some of the more heartbreaking details.)
Now, a man who had nothing to do with Kian's murder was forced to confess to killing Kian under torture and sentenced to death, while the actual killer, who, yes, is with the regime, gets of scot-free. An innocent man is now at risk of being executed at any moment, and we need to bring as much attention to this as possible. In fact, Kian's parents themselves have been adamant that he is not responsible for their son's cruel, untimely death, and we must add our voices to theirs to successfully campaign for his freedom.
His name is Mojahed Kurkur. Please spread this post, and say his name to save his life.
Reminder that schoolgirls in Iran are still being subjected to chemical attacks. Any ostensible slowing down had to do with the Nowruz holiday, but now that school has resumed, girls are in just as much danger as they were before.
Two young Iranian were executed just for standing for freedom and for women
they’re names are
Seyed Mohammad Hosseini
and
Mohammad mehdi karami
Then two other innocent men have been sentenced to death
Mohammad boroghani
Mohammad ghobadloo
the same thing could happen to these peoe as what happened to Seyed Mohammad Hosseini and Mohammad mehdi karami. I know with tiny post it won’t make an impact but if I could just speak out about the atrocities going in irans maybe someone will listen. I’m scared for people in Iran and what’s gonna happen next . We must not stop advocating please don’t stop this serious. Do something anything reblog, post your opinion, etc. but please don’t scroll pas after reading this disregarding this cause we need to advocate and shout as loud as we can now

Women

and don’t forget we still have a long way to go before things will change.
Imagine having your child die in front of you and not being able to do anything about it. Imagine having to hold your child as she takes her last breath, her body riddled with bullets and having to comfort her. Imagine the very people (i.e., police) who are supposed to serve and protect, indiscriminately open fire on cars and kill your children. This is the reality of Iran. While we may be busy today shopping and enjoying year end sales. Soha’s family are mourning. They have no joy left, nothing to smile about. Their beautiful little girl was brutally murdered in front of them.
How many more children will have to die until @unicef speaks up? How many more have to die before the west cuts off diplomatic relations with the Islamic Republic, expelling IR diplomats and recalling western diplomats from Islamic Republic? Enough is enough.
