I think the fact that Lando isn’t used to being at the front of the field has reflected a lot on not only his racing but also the way he handles situations post-race.
When he pushed Max into the grass in Spain he joked that he had “left plenty of space” in the press conference afterwards, but after the crash today he’s gone around parading that Max is too aggressive, has lost his respect, and is overall handling it immaturely by making himself out to be an innocent bystander when it was simply hard racing with mistakes made from both drivers.
Essentially, Lando needs to mature if he’s going to be a genuine contender for the championship because these piss fits are a behavior to leave in the midfield. You don’t see Max whining to interviewers that he deserves an apology and that his rivaling drivers have lost his respect because he is mature enough to handle those things privately, especially considering that they’re good friends off-track.
(I don’t mean any offense, I have nothing against Lando, just thought I’d give my thoughts on the absolute chaos that was today’s race.)
