I don't know if anyone noticed this yet but Mariner was the furthest away from the portal when Boimler was pulled in but out of all of them she was the first to actually get to the portal.

So this finale was great, and boy i wish i could tell you but i don't want to ruin your expectations so here's me a gif telling you to pretend things are not happening and below that are memes related to the finale (DON"T READ THEM IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED THE FINALE).

Spoilers for Lower Decks S2E1
So in the cold open, Mariner is basically arguing with a hologram version of Boimler, she said that she's angry at him for leaving her without saying goodbye.
So she basically is happy for Boimler leaving to fulfill his dreams of rising to the ranks but is outright angry at him for leaving without saying goodbye.
What do you think would happened if Boimler came to Mariner to say goodbye? i literally have two scenarios.
Scenario 1: typical friends saying goodbye.
Scenario 2: Mariner admitting her feelings to Boimler before leaving to the Titan.

I missed my chance to take a screenshot though because I tried to hold the screen since I forgot that I just don't have to touch the screen at all for this part of the dialogue to stay, so the dialogue went on and I didn't take a screenshot now😔

Y’know what would be crazy? If Bradward “raisin stud” Boimler was as popular as he was on his family’s orchard because as part of inheriting the business, he was taught some kind of impressive looking super raisin picking/sorting/hauling techniques, and he’s incredibly ashamed of it but every time he does it, it makes him look like the John Wick of raisins.
Yeah, I was struggling with the whole vineyard vs orchard thing before I posted this, but then I decided the Boimler family probably already has the infrastructure for drying small fruits out, and it wouldn’t be an insane lateral business move.
I’m imagining a scenario in which Boimler meets Worf and introduces himself as Ensign Boimler, and Worf says he recognizes him and Boims gets excited for a second until Worf explains that he recognizes the name Boimler from the brand of prune juice that comes from Bradward’s family’s vineyard.
Yes, the “We can’t just not look, can we?” scene in Those Old Scientists is hilarious but imagine the Department of Temporal Investigations began to refer to that as the “Boimler Maneuver” or alternatively the “Shy Pisser Maneuver”.
Because that’s very much what it is. It’s an entire room full of people standing in a corner of the room, trying not to look, while you do your business. It just so happens that that business is utilizing methods and technology from the future
It would be very on brand for Boimler that when he finally gets a maneuver named after him it’s also called the “Shy Pisser Maneuver”, forever branding him a shy pee’er regardless of whether he is one or not.
