"No," He says with a fire in his eyes, teeth bared in a snarl, "You people aren't taking my kid again,"

"No," the man says again, almost spits it out like it's covered in acid, "It may not have been you that took him. Probably ain't even the same world that he already saved. And you know what happened? He did it,"

Head Mage Pofinerus smiles, and steps further into the jaws of a lion. "Then it must work! He is already a hero, he can save us. He returned to you a hero-"

"He returned to me covered in blood!" The man roars.

He was called John, short for Johnathan. A normal name, for a normal man, who lived a content life with his son, who on holidays and every other summer lived with his mother. His son was the light of his life.

His son stepped out the door one day with a smile.

His son knocked on the door one day, like he didn't have the right to be there anymore.

His son woke up screaming some nights, and would cry out horrors John didn't understand, but wished he could if only for his son.

His son stared out the window some nights, and asked John to remind him the name of the constellations because he had forgotten their names in his time away.

So, so long away.

His son.

His child.

His baby boy, whose voice had only just begun to crack when he stepped out the door, and who knocked on the door with dead eyes.

"No," John said again, perfectly enunciating the word in a way he hadn't seen his high school theatre class, "You don't get to have my son. You don't get to hurt him anymore. I can't fight the monsters underneath his bed," John pumped the shotgun and leveled it at the robed creep in front of him, "But I can sure as hell fight you."

An order of magicians attempts to summon a child hero with a pure heart to save their world from evil forces. They instead get his 40-something-year old dad, with a shotgun.

I got a new sketchbook!! But at what cost..

i took some liberties with the colors and patterns bc i don’t like that they made blue the only easily recognizable one. charlie’s the one on top (i’ve always thought she was silly) and delta seems pretty comfy in the center there. poor echo has to be the one they all piled on ;-;

Now, I've been thinking about this for days. So the characters there aren't like their original counterparts, with some same some with different relationships towards each other, same goes to their personalities. Like they're different characters based on their counterparts, they're expies from the bfb characters mind you.(Kinda like in mlp franchise, where g3 rainbow dash and g4 rainbow dash we're different characters). I don't know if I change this in the future

Finally got to explain this..

Living In Yoyle City ( Battle For Dream Island x Running Man Animation AU )

It's an au about a group of 8 freelancers doing ""basic"" life doing mercenary work, like escorting, espionage to spy on Tree City, and assassin work. Some of them also had secondary jobs as well, like working on a restaurant. Or just doing a normal life. It's different to the actual plot of rma with competing challenges

Yoyle City is run by Fervent ( 4 ) and his assistant Xanthros ( X ), with Tacenda ( 2 ) and Serendipity (²)( oc ), Yoyle City and Tree City's leader ( Charming Gold ) were having a beef with each other. With tree city having much influence than the latter, and because of the conflict and disasters Charming Gold did over the years. Fervent hired some of them due to having connections to Tree City or for other reasons. Or needed some recruits. Some of the group were from Tree City. All of the 8 groups were live in the hotel created by Fervent in Yoyle City

The Running Man, DV7, and most importantly, Charming Gold were in this story

The Groups:

The character groups were based on the post split of bfb. I'm making it as futuristic as possible. Lore wise, all of the members were struggling to name their group
