|| happy new years guys đ©”
You and Keigo had been married for a year. You knew exactly what you signed up for the moment you started dating, he was very clear about how his job was.. Well, busy. And how it kept HIM busy. You understood this and welcomed it, honestly you liked the alone time you got. There had been times you two have fought about this, but only once or twice. Despite fighting less, your worry grew the more attached you got with Keigo. The more you fell for Keigo.
Today was.. Harsh. You woke up alone in bed, per usual, the place you go to for your coffee was closed because of a villain attack on it, and you were late to work. Because of, guess what! A villain. Your boss was on your ass about, you forget half of what he yelled at you about, it was fine, all of that was small cracks in a glass cup that was overflowing with water. What thr final blow was?
Youe beloved husband, Keigo.
You had planned a date together. You'd been planning this date for a week or so. The SECOND you clocked out of work you rushed home and put on your best clothes! Matching it with a bag Keigo had bought you and of course, your wedding band.
By this time it had been 7:00 PM. Your date was for 8:00 PM! Alright, Keigo had an hour to get ready if he got here.. Soon.
But, as you watched the minutes go by, constantly checking for a call, a text!.. Keigo was no where to be seen. Once it turned 8:20 PM, it had been to late, your reservation was too late and you couldn't go. And honestly? You didn't wanna go out anymore. You just sat on the couch, scrolling on your phone, still in your date night outfit as you heard familiar flapping on the balcony.
Keigo! 20 minutes late, to arriving TO the resturaunt.
"Babe, I'm so sorry-"
You put a hand up as you stood up and crossed your arms in front of your chest. Your brows furrowed as you looked him up and down. You looked over him, he seemed a bit disheveled, some scratches but nothing too bad.
"You're late, Kei"
He stood there, his lips pressed in a thin line as he looked at you. He didn't have anything to say. His wings ruffled behind him as the blone man let out a tired sigh.
"I'm sorry, love. I promise I tried to leave patrol early, but the commission called me in for a meeting right after patrol ended. It was a whole debrief and-"
Keigo was rambling again. He often did this when you were upset with him, or if he was upset at himself. Your gaze softened as you listened to him. He had a harsh day too. Did it excuse his actions? No, not at all, you're his beloved spouse. He should've been there. He knows it.
Which is why it shocked him when you walked up to him and wrapped your arms around him.
".. You'll have to make it up to me."
You said softly. This could've been the BEST time to make a teerible innuendo, but instead Keigo let out a shakey breath and hid his face into the crook of your neck. Giving a small nod to your comment.
"I'll make dinner, I'll- I'll make whatever you want, or order in whatever you want,"
You shook your head with a small laugh. You pulled away from him and took out your phone. He watched in confusion as you tapped your fingers against the screen... What the hell were you doing? He got even more confused as when you started playing a song.. THE song. The song that played at your wedding.
You slowly placed your phone on the coffee table as you slowly walked back to him.
"You stood me up. I'm upset at you,"
That stung his heart, but he understood. He stood there, listening to you talk.
"You'll need to make it up to me," Keigo nodded. ".. So. To make it up to me by a little,"
You extended your hand out. The moonlight coming out from the glass and hitting your skin just right. Keigo looked you up and down, in awe of how.. Gorgeous his spouse was.
"Dance with me?"
Keigo's breath hitched as those words left your mouth.. He took a few steps close to you and placed his hand into yours, moving around to get into dancing position. Just like your wedding.
The two of you danced to the music, nothing but the music and your steps filling in the silence. As if none of you dared to even breathe. But it was okay.. If you closed your eyes it could be like your wedding day all over again. The most stressful, the most tear filled, and the best day of both of your lives. It was exactly like you had imagined.
Once the song ended Keigo leaned into you, hiding his face on your shoulder. His wingd drooping down as he held you close.
"I'm so sorry, my love."
"I know."
You stroked his hair softly as he just held you close. He knew you had every right to be upset. He knew he could've done better, this had happened before. Keigo felt terrible. You had been so patient with him, so good to him. He didn't feel like he deserved it, but you always assured he did.
"I'm so sorry,"
He repeated himself as you held him close. God, you hated hearing him this.. Sad.
"I've been terrible.. I'm sorry.. I've been a bad husband to you."
You pulled his face away from your shoulder and stroked his cheek with your thumb. A small smile on your face as you looked over his features.
"At least you're self-aware"
You had a small smirk on your face as you said that. Ah, teasing.
"I try to be."
He let out a small chuckle as he gently pushed his lips against yours. That night, you assured him he wasn't a bad husband, that he wasn't a bad anything. He needed your reassurance a lot, and no matter how upset you were with him, you'd lend it. Afterall, he was always there for you, it was the least you could do.
Of course, Keigo still made it up to you, taking you on an extravagant date and pampering you at anytime. Hell, he didn't even let you brush your teeth by yourself. He was such a dork, but you loved him.
And god, does he love you.

I was alone.
All of my friends are gone..
Has it always been this dark here?
Are my earthlings will be alright?
Why am i even caring about them? They don't care about me. They are already planning to leave so why should i care?
I felt someone's presence behind me, I didn't even bother turning around, i just knew that if i don't talk to them they just gonna leave. Like everyone else.
It was until i felt their hands on my shoulder.
"Are you alright, Earth? You seem down.."
I heard the voice. The voice that i always loved. Their voice.
"(P/N)... you're still here.."
I say as i turn around to meet with their face
"Of course i am, why wouldn't i be? But seriously are you alright?"
They asked as concern grew in their voice.
"No..(p/n) you need to go away or I'll hurt you like i did with the others.. i don't want you to hate me, so go away.. please.."
I said to them and looked away, i did not wanted them to see the tears welling up in my eyes.
"No, Earth, you aren't in the right mind now, please talk to me. What do you mean by hurting me like the others? Or do you even want to talk about it."
(P/n) Turned me around by my shoulders to look at them but i still refused to. I just shake my head as no and try hard as possible not to cry. I need to stay strong. Strong for them.
"Okay, that's fine. Can i stay with you? Only if you don't mind.."
They say softly and i nod my head. I want them to stay, but i don't want to hurt them.
"May i hug you?"
They asked as they raised their arms intending a hug. I quickly nod and i bring them into a tight hug.
I want this to end. I want my friends back. I want Luna back.
"Please stay.."
I hear my voice crack, I can't even recognize my own voice.
"I'll stay, I'll stay."
They smiled and hugged me tighter.
"I heard about the fight you had with Mars and Venus. But I don't know about Luna."
They say as they rub my back to comfort me.
"They all left me.. i hurt all of them.. they don't like me, i don't deserve them..!"
I said and i burry my face into their neck, seeking for their warmth. Even though my brain says otherwise, my heart still wants them to be around me.
"You know yourself that you hurted them, but I'm sure they forgive you, sooner or later.. and about Luna.. you know you shouldn't use him like that.. he looks up at you, always helps you.."
They cooed and i feel my hands tighten on their shirt, my eyes starting to water more.
"I-I know! I respect him and know how much he does for me... It's just.. i don't know.."
I don't recognize my own voice, is that really me? Do i really sound like that? That broken and lost?
"Why do you even care for me? I don't deserve to be around you.. you should just leave me for someone bette-
I was cut off by a pair of lips on mine. I froze but as soon i knew what was happening, i lowered my arms to their waist and kissed them back. They were holding my cheeks and i was holding their waist. As soon our lips parted away from each others, i imadetdly missed the warmth of their lips on mine.
"I care for you.. because you're special to me.. I know how much you fighted for life.. but i still know you did hurt the others.. I'll help you change. I know you can.."
They say as they are still holding my cheeks, staring into my eyes. The tears in my eyes started to spill. I hug them again and hide my face in the crook of their neck to hide my tears even though they could feel it.
They were rubbing my back to comfort me and softly smiled even though i couldn't see it. I didn't even noticed that someone was walking towards me from behind.
"Earth! I was looking for you."
I hear Luna shout from a distance and run towards me. I look behind myself as i fully turn around to face Luna.
"Moon? Where were you?"
I ask him in full concern. Where was he? I thought he left me.
"Long story, i wanted to fix the mess you created but it didn't quite work."

Daryl with a partner who gets depressive episodes but not like crying all the time or laying around they just go silent. And like. Everyone's concerned because what do you mean you went quiet? No no no, the excitable guy over there? You've got the wrong person.
Still going on runs and pulling their weight where they stay, but just. Silent. Lingering a bit too much.
And Daryl doesn't know really what to do with it. He can barely healthily deal with his own emotions, comforting someone else is a big bite to chew. But he still tries. Maybe just staying with them. Nudging them with a water canister or some spare food to make sure they're eating and drinking, even if they're too zoned out to realize they're doing it. Staying by them, a mutual dampened air that's bittersweet and tainted with unspoken complications. But it's better, not being alone. It helps.
Was loving someone supposed to be so hard? Trying to be angsty and a lil' bit fluff. I don't have a proofreader so enjoy this in it's raw, uncut glory.
Loving Hajun was easy. Almost too easy, as if he was part of your very existence that had been missing until the moment you found each other. After dating him for almost a year, loving him had evolved into the most unbearable pain. Every single "I love you." was met with silence and a lowered gaze as he couldn't look you in the eye whenever you openly expressed your love for him. After spending countless nights begging the universe for Hajun to tell you that he loved you as you wept from the gut-wrenching sorrow you had slowly become mired in, you knew. You couldn't bear to love him any longer. There was no pain in the world that could equal the ache you felt in your heart at the realization that you would need to let him go before you lost yourself.
Before your heartbreaking realization you were constantly over at Hajun's place, either playing with his little brothers or even helping take care of the puppy that Hajun had recently adopted. Hajun had become accustomed to coming home and finding you in the middle of cooking or washing dishes as if you belong there. Your parents joked that you were practically living the married life already. Which would have been a dream come true, if only Hajun loved youâŠ
After several days of crying in your bed at your parent's home, you knew that this would be the day you would be saying goodbye to the one man who you loved more than life itself. Hajun was surprised when you didn't walk right into his home after opening the door upon hearing a timid knock at the door. "..Why didn't you just come in, y/n..?" Hearing your name almost broke you, Hajun's voice was raspy from just waking up while you had not been able to sleep at all last night. Tears filled your eyes in seconds as you were unable to look at his face while you sniffled before taking a steadying breath. "Thi-this isn't working out.. I-I think we should break upâŠ" Your voice was barely louder than a whisper while doing your best to not start openly weeping from the knife you drove in your own heart from the words you brought into existence. Muted silence grew between you as you waited for Hajun to say something, anything. It didn't seem like anything would be said as the moment started to last minutes longer than expected, Hajun really didn't love you. Tears poured silently from your eyes as you turned away from the man you held so dearly in your heart.
"You.. Said you loved me.." Hajun's voice was soft, filled with hurt as he couldn't bear the sight of you walking away from him. Not like this. You paused as you looked to the ceiling, doing your best not to scream that you would rather die than live without him. "I- I love you s-s-s'much. So damn muchâŠ" You wiped at the tears still falling in an endless stream from your eyes, frustrated that you couldn't be more mature at a time like this. "But.. You don't love me, Hajun.."
"I never said that. I wouldâŠ" Hajun paused while tentatively wrapping his arms around you and resting his head on your shoulder. "I would never say that I don't love you." You couldn't help from shaking from the intensity of your emotions. Wait, no.. You weren't shaking, Hajun was shaking! His whole body was trembling as he held you from behind, you could feel hot tears soaking your shoulder. Your hands gently gripped his own before you turned to look at him, face to face. You had never seen Hajun look so upset, you felt another fresh wave of tears overcome you as you softly brushed the tears from Hajun's cheeks with the sleeve of your shirt. "Don't cry, please. I can't bear to see you cry⊠I love you, Hajun." Hajun's eyes closed tight as more tears slipped out and he looked away from you for a second before taking in a deep breath before looking you in the eye.
"I love youâŠ" Hajun's response was all you ever wanted but now it felt like you must have wanted it so long that you misheard what he had actually said. "Wh-what did you say?" "I love you." "I love you." "I love you." Hajun pulled you close and continued to whisper 'I love you' into your hair as you wept into his chest. He loved you. Hajun loved you too this whole time.
dude I cannot express how many times I've read this, it just makes my heart clench in the best ways. im the softest for poly fits, especially with these boys :,)
Hello there ! Can I request a scenario with Oikawa and Iwaizumi having the biggest crush on their childhood friend. She also have a crush on the two guys, how they deal with their feelings until they got together, the three of them Thank you !
Anonymous said: Hey there, I just want to say that I love your work â„ I always look forward to your new posts!!! ^^ Also if itâs not too much, could I ask a scenario where Iwaizumi and Oikawa both have feelings for a female childhood friend of theirs but they think she likes the other. Thanks in advance! :*** â„â„â„
Iâve always liked the idea of a poly forming bc two people like the same person! Like why have love triangles when you can just date both options? Anyway! Thanks for asking! And Iâm sorry itâs taken so long to be completed! - Admin Satori <3
Iwaizumi Hajime x Reader x Oikawa Tooru Poly:
It wasnât fair. Not in the slightest. Never had it ever been a fair playing field for Iwaizumi. Especially against his best friend, Oikawa. Never had he ever been able to win over a girl he liked when they only had eyes for him! Whenever he did gather the courage to ask the girl out, they ended up just using him to get closer to the pretty boyâŠ.
But you were different. Not only because you werenât a fangirl of Oikawa on his looks alone, but because the three of you had known each other since infancy. Youâd had the chance to witness Oikawa at his best and at his worst, youâd had the chance to see Iwaizumi pretty much mold his personality to be a stark contrast to his best friend on principle alone. While you simply sat back and watched them compete and have the best of times together.
It wasnât until college came around that you noticed theyâd started having issues. Separation anxieties. Leaving for college or debating on changing locations or even just toying with the idea of not going to college at all. You had decided not to go. Against your mothers and fatherâs wishes, yes, but it was your choice. You had found a wonderful job, great benefits, and had slowly started working your way up the corporate ladder.
And while they were separated, by school, the three of you lived together, in a little apartment that was equal distance from both their place of educaiton - Separate rooms, of course - but both boys yearned for that to change. Oikawa had been working on himself to try to get your attention - using other girls to get you jealous, making his education a priority to get your admiration, even going to Physical Therapy every week so you could see he was working to get better. Iwaizumi⊠well, he wasnât doing much different. He went to the gym a bit more, maybe, but most days you could find him either at Volleyball practice or doing his studies. And even those activities werenât really to get your attention; Iwaizumi had just assumed immediately that he wouldnât ever win against Oikawa.
Somehow, you didnât notice their efforts. Didnât notice Iwaizumiâs pining. Didnât pay attention to Oikawaâs drive for self improvement. You were too focused on your self betterment. Too focused on what you were doing with your life. Youâd known from your early teen years, after a bad breakup, that you couldnât depend on boys or men for really anything - if you wanted something, you had to work your ass off to get it. At least then, itâd feel like you deserved it.
Maybe thatâs why Oikawa was working himself half to death. To feel like he deserved to be with you. Maybe thatâs why Iwaizumi wasnât working himself at all. Knowing he didnât deserve you in the least.
Every night, Iwaizumi would get home late. And every night, heâd see you hanging out with Oikawa on the couch. Watching any kind of movie - even movies he knew Oikawa didnât like; but, of course, he would if you did. Every night, Iwaizumi would go to bed feeling like he didnât belong in that apartment. Not if you two were being polite around him, not making any advances to respect his personal boundaries.
Oikawa, on the other hand, would come home from his Doctor appointments, his unsuccessful dates, his study sessions with tutors from university, to see you and Iwaizumi deep in conversation. Talking about school, about tv shows, about how you wanted to decorate the apartment or even move the three of you to a nice little house down the roadâŠ. It seemed, at least from Oikawaâs perspective, that you two had so much more in common than you and he did.
Which of course was all objective. You liked them both. You thought the world of both of them. Iwaizumi was your knight in shining armor but Oikawa was your tragic king. You were their princess, though it was a blame of their own thinking you would ever need their saving. You could handle yourself just fine.
Never would you ever admit it⊠but youâd never be able to choose between the two of them. Your heart ached to even think of that decision being forced upon you. You loved Iwaizumiâs bravery, his dedication to his passions⊠You loved Oikawaâs duality with his humility, his determination to grow into a better version of himself. They were both admirable young men, both loving in their own ways, total catches - and you prided yourself in the looks of jealousy you received when walking with them in town.
You loved them. Both of them. Youâd known in high school youâd loved them. And now? Now you suffered every moment of your day, hoping neither of them would see⊠Praying, and fearing, for the day they grew bored of you⊠Just so you wouldnât have to choose.
Then one day, while you were cleaning the apartment, you realizedâŠ.
Did you have to choose?
Sure, it was weird to suddenly be open to a poly relationship when youâd been single for the better part of your life⊠But so what? If you loved them⊠Why donât you tell them? Why donât you show them?
Of course, there was the fear⊠of possessiveness being a streak in them⊠Or of either of them not being open to the idea of the other dating you⊠perhaps even hostility at the idea of dating each otherâŠ
As quickly as youâd been determined to tell them, it vanished with the cons of coming clean just piling up. You tossed yourself onto the couch, pulling your legs to your chest and burying your face in your knees. What in the world would you do? You couldnât go on like this, pining for them, secretly wishing theyâd notice your feelings and handle it on their own. You were confident in your life, but not⊠Not when it came to your friends and your feelings - the two were very heavy subjects on your heart, and constantly taxed your mind into exhaustion.
âYou deserve her, you knowâŠâ
It was just the two of them, Oikawa and Iwaizumi, parked in a fast food parking lot, enjoying their meal together as best friends with different lives. It was so rare to hang out with the other, it was a bittersweet feeling whenever one looked at the other; Each thinking if they were happy with you, and what they wouldnât give to have a piece of that heaven.
Iwaizumi blinked rapidly, his nose scrunching as he tried to connect how Oikawa had spewed that from their previous conversation of how the restaurants fries had failed in quality recently. His dark green eyes glanced at his best friend from the corner, clearly showing his confusion on the change of topics, and while Oikawa wasnât looking at him, his fingers picking through his burger for the pickles he did not like, he could feel Iwaizumiâs eyes on him. They were burning in their curiosity, he could feel the warmth on his cheeks.
âHow-â
âOh, come on now, Iwa-chan.. We both know sheâs a great person, sweet and gentle, funny and considerateâŠâ Oikawaâs brown met Iwaizumiâs green, the intensity in them making the latter feel a rush of chills down his spine. That wasnât a new sensation, either, heâd been feeling more chills and shivers around Oikawa recently. Not that he knew what it meant, but it wasnât unpleasant. âJust ask her out already⊠You always overthink everything.â
Iwaizumiâs lips turned down at the corners, and Oikawa felt a slight pang in his chest - he didnât like seeing Iwaizumi upset, even if it was more of an introspective frown than a self depreciating one. âYou want me⊠to ask out⊠your girlfriend?â He was doubtful, why would Oikawa want something like tha-
He didnât have a chance to finish his thought before Oikawa was blushing and laughing quietly behind his pulled up hands, his eyes closed as he took joy in Iwaizumiâs confusion. âSheâs-â More quiet laughter, though the tips of his ears were on fire at the thought of Iwaizumiâs belief. âSheâs not my-â
âSheâs not?â Oikawa shook his head with an amused smile, only being broken by the quiet chuckles thatâd escape. âBut you both are always with each other⊠I would have thoughtâŠâ Again, Oikawa shook his head, but his smile didnât reach his smiling eyes⊠It barely even registered as a smile now.
âOh, no no⊠I mean⊠Sheâs⊠Sheâs everything Iâd want in someone to loveâŠâ Realizing his leaving out his obvious feelings, he ducked his head to have his hair slightly cover his eyes, âBut⊠I guess I could say that about you, too, Iwa-chanâŠâ He didnât look up - his heart hammering in his chest. Did he really just say that? Why did the air feel so thin? So heated? He stared with wide eyes at his knees against the glove compartment of the passenger side; Heâd just confessed⊠sort of.
âM-me?â Iwaizumi turned his body slightly so he could see Oikawa a bit clearer, seeing the red on his friends cheeks in the dim light being provided by the restaurant they currently sat in front of. âShi-â He stopped himself from finishing the horrible nickname heâd given Oikawa in high school, thinking better of the situation and what it needed. What it could possibly mean. He cleared his throat, feeling his cheeks heat as he called his friends name, âTooruâŠâ
Oikawaâs brown eyes widened before he looked at Iwaizumi, feeling his heart constrict in his chest - no mean name. No teasing. Just actual confusion and understanding is all he could find in the search of his friends expression. âI-IâŠ.â He stumbled over trying to come up with something to say, âI⊠I just meant that⊠You⊠HajimeâŠâ His cheeks flushed a bit hotter as he uttered his best friends name, his real name. âI think⊠I think I have feelings for youâŠ. And for _______âŠ.â
Silence fell between the two, both feeling lost in this admission. Not sure what to make of what was going on. Did Iwaizumi feel the same? Was Oikawa just confusing his best friendship with a possible romantic feeling for you? How did you even feel about them?
Now wasnât the time for that, though. You were at home. Alone. And here the two friends sat. Staring into nothing as they simmered in their thoughts - Oikawa going over his admission and feeling as if heâd just made the biggest mistake of his life - Iwaizumi searching his heart and his gut for any kind of response to give back to his friend without it being any sort of⊠false to how he truly felt.
Because he did have feelings for you, tooâŠ. And for Oikawa. Heâd always had feelings for his best friend, he realized. Thatâs why he was so upset whenever his fanbase would show up, whenever Oikawa would hide behind countless masks to push anyone from his hurt, whenever Oikawa pushed himself beyond exhaustion just to prove himself strong⊠He loved Oikawa. He really did. At first heâd thought it was because they were friends, close friends, best friends, almost brotherlyâŠ.
But now he realizedâŠ. Heâd been pining since he could remember. For both you and Oikawa.
The silence must have taken too long, since Oikawa seemed to curl in on himself, his shoulders pushing forward so he could tuck his chin down between them. âJust⊠UhâŠâ He quietly laughed, glancing at Iwaizumi from the corner of his eye, feeling shame eating at his very core for admitting something he knew would never work out. âJust forget I said anything, okay?â He coughed awkwardly, sending an equally awkward smile at Iwaizumi, âIwa-chan, letâs just go home and watch a movie with ______-chanâŠ. Iâm sure sheâs worried about where we got off to⊠Iwa-chan?â
Heâd moved closer, leaning over the armrest between them, closing in on Oikawaâs personal space, his dark green eyes staring intensely at his best friends face. He could see the confusion, the synapses rushing to connect the dots as to why he was getting so close without any previous indication. Had he really upset him? But as soon as the worry had started eating at Oikawaâs heartâŠ. It disappeared.
Iwaizumi leaned down and pressed his lips against Oikawaâs, his eyes closed as he allowed himself to take this chance. To be vulnerable around one of the only people he completely trusted. Oikawa felt an electric shock rush through his system, and just as Iwaizumi was about to pull away and apologize for misunderstanding the situation, Oikawaâs hand reached up to cup Iwaizumiâs cheek and keep his lips against his.
The kiss was sweet, and soft, and warm⊠Iwaizumi felt alive with Oikawaâs touch on his skin, with his kiss against his lips⊠Oikawa felt at home with the familiarity that was his best friend turnedâŠ. well, lover, he assumed. Boyfriend at the very most.
As quick as it happened, it was over, and Iwaizumi was leaning back into his seat with a dazed smile. Oikawaâs heart pitter pattered in his chest, making him feel lightheaded as his fingers touched his lips; a smile quickly stretching them across his face.
âIwa-chan~!â There he was. Iwaizumi smiled in almost relief as Oikawa tossed his arms around Iwaizumiâs neck and hugged him as best he could in the car. âI didnât think our first kiss would be in your car, but you know Iâm a glutton for second tries!â
Dark green gave Oikawa a curious, confused look, though the latter did not notice as he was too busy nuzzling Iwaizumiâs shoulder in pure happiness. âSecond tries?â
Oikawa rested his chin on Iwaizumiâs shoulder, smiling up at him blissfully, âWell, of course, Iwa-chan⊠Donât forget, weâve still gotta tell ______-chan how we feel about her!â
Iwaizumiâs eyes widened as he leaned back, though Oikawa only was pulled in the movement, âOh, no no! I donât think Iâm ready-â
âOh, relax, Iwa-chan! Itâs ________⊠Sheâs not going to do anything to youâŠ. Well, unless she feels the sameâŠ.â Oikawa smirked, his confidence through the roof with the uncovering of Iwaizumiâs feelings for him as well. He felt content, happy - though the possibility of you also feeling the same for them was exciting, he knew it was a slim chance⊠It did sting, already, just a bit⊠But he had IwaizumiâŠ. And that was definitely not something to be upset about. âCome on, letâs get home.â
With a sigh, filled with anxiety and doubt, Iwaizumi started his car and started down the familiar road home - not before giving Oikawa a look that clearly stated âput on your damn seatbeltâ.
â___________-chaaaaaaaaan~! Weâre HOOOOOMMMMEEEE!â
âShhhh, she might be asleep, dick.â
âIwa-chan! Thatâs so mean! I thought we made some progress back there.â
You could hear the pout on Oikawaâs face as you set down your pencil. Youâd been writing down in your journal. Not a diary, which youâd been very adamant about whenever one of them found it lying around.Â
Youâd been writing about your feelings, making a pro and con list of the situation of you telling them how you felt about both of them. Making a list of groceries you needed when the three of you went out again. A list of things to get them for their birthdays or Christmas. Really, you were just writing whatever came to mind. Your journal was a mess of letters.
A light knock on your door had you leaning back in your desk chair, crossing your arms as it was slowly opened when you didnât deny their access. â_______⊠Can.. Can we talk to you?â
âOh! Iwa-chan, sheâs writing in her diary. This can waitâŠâ
âItâs not a diary, Tooru!â You were quick to defend, sending him a dirty look, to which he only stuck out his tongue playfully. It was a button of yours he loved to push. You pushed away his tease, knowing it was bait for an argument, instead focusing on what Iwaizumi had asked. âTalk? Uh⊠Yeah, sure⊠Uhm.. In here? Or..?â
Iwaizumi scratched the back of his head awkwardly, âUh⊠WellâŠâ He looked at Oikawa, feeling lost in what was needed or expected in situations like this. Iwaizumi was a man of action. Not words. Oikawa was a man of whining. Not words. Neither of them would win if they took the lead of this one.
But something had to be done.
âScrew it.â Iwaizumi muttered before practically stomping into your room, stopping just before where you sat in your desk chair and leaning down.
His lips were on you faster than you could realize what was going on. You stared at his tightly closed eyes, feeling his lips slowly moving against yours; His kiss was so much warmer than youâd ever imagined or dreamt of.
The surprise wore off, and you quickly pulled from the kiss, wide eyes staring up at one of your best friends, âIâŠâ You were at a loss for words, âWha-â
Now you felt hands cup your cheeks, turning your head slightly to the right before much softer lips pressed against yours. This kiss was slightly cooler than the one before, though there was much more cushion to these lips - they were well taken care of. You stared ahead as the closed eyes opened; Sweet brown.
Oikawa pulled away with a satisfied smile, patting Iwaizumi on the back with a little more enthusiasm than the latter was expecting, âIâll get you back later, Hajime, for stealing her first kissâŠ.â He pouted, but seemed to vibrate with excitement when Iwaizumi only leaned down and kissed it away.
Confusion now filled your heart, your head, your body, hell even your stomach was confused on what was going on. âIâŠ.WhâŠ. JusâŠ.â You reached up and rubbed your forehead, closing your eyes, âWhat the fuck?â
A quiet chuckle from Oikawa before Iwaizumi elbowed him in the ribs, â______, Iâve had feelings for you since I could remember when we were growing upâŠ.â
Oikawa nodded, âWhen we met as infants, I knew you were the one.â
Iwaizumi gave Oikawa a look as if heâd just eaten a sour candy, âWha-â He instead shook his head, disregarding the ridiculousness of that statement, knowing you deserved an explanation. âBut.. I realizedâŠ. I also had feelings for Oikawa⊠Probably for the same amount of time.â
âProbably?â Oikawa held his hand to his heart in faux insult, âRude.â
You stared up at the two of them, seeing their friendship had bloomed into something more. Something⊠They seemed to want you to be involved in, as well. âSoâŠ.â
âSoooooo,â Oikawa drawled with a wide smile, leaning down and kissing your ear, âWeâre saying weâd like to have you join usâŠâ
Iwaizumi pulled Oikawa back out of your space by the back of his shirt, âDonât be fucking weird, Tooru.â He rolled his eyes, this time not kissing away the pout, âWeâre saying⊠We both like you⊠a lot⊠but we also like each otherâŠ. A lotâŠ.â He cleared his throat, feeling heat pool in his cheeks, heating the tips of his ears and the base of his neck, âUh⊠SoâŠ. We wanted to know⊠How you felt⊠about usâŠ.â
âBoth of us!â
This could not possibly be real, could it? Hadnât you just been thinking about how unfair and improbable it was this exact scenario could happen? Hadnât you just cried your evening away at feeling hopeless about both of them? You stared at them, dumbfounded, feeling a bit lost in the coincidence of this entire day happening to you. How lucky could you possibly be after today? Had it all been used for this one opportunity to be presented to you?
Nerves pulled Iwaizumiâs heart into his stomach, Oikawa could feel his fingertips and toes numbing with his own nerves getting the better of him. Two different reactions, two different young men, waiting for the same answer they hoped would be uttered.
You deserved to be happy, too. They were obviously floating on cloud nine from their realizations, their admissions and confessions. They were happyâŠ. And you wanted to be happy, too!
Oikawa yelped as you stood up suddenly, wrapping your arms around his neck and kissing him passionately, feeling the heat of his cheeks at the realization of what you were doing. Pride swelled in your chest as you pulled away, seeing how dazed and blissful his expression was before you reached over, grabbed Iwaizumi by the collar of his shirt and pulled him down for an equally passionate kiss. He was quicker to respond, his hands pulling you close to rest against his chest, his mouth moving with yours.
