I thought I’d post a little guide to removing messed up content that was installed along with something else accidentally. There were a few files in my game that weren’t package files, and I hadn’t installed them as .sims3packs either.

With Nraas MasterController installed, I went into CAS and right-clicked the offending item. Doing that produces a yellow pop-up on the right side of the screen. In the pop-up, you should see the instance number of the item in question. Take a screenshot for reference. Close your game.

Open the first .dbc file from  C:\Users\[yourUsername]\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\DCCache in S3pe. Type in the instance number that you took the screenshot of into the Instance Number text box (in the lower right of S3pe). Then check the ‘filter active’ checkbox, and click ‘set’. If the offending item is in the .dbc file you’re checking, all other sub-files will disappear and you’ll see just that one (or two if there’s an accompanying thumbnail image). If all disappear, you’ll need to open the next .dbc file and check there. Right-click the filtered sub-item when you find it, and select ‘Deleted’. Save the .dbc. The bad item should be gone.

Please consider reblogging this for others’ benefit - it was driving me crazy until I discovered this solution, so hopefully it will alleviate someone else’s pain. ;)

in my search for small and medium-sized worlds to play in, i decided to download Arkham by Martine. i liked how she kept the industrial/city feel even though it’s small. unfortunately most of the lots are empty. 

i’m really hoping to do something with it. i guess i will be spending a lot of time in build mode and edit town mode for it 💔

Hello my sweeties, those who are reading my posts at the end. My friends have often asked me, how did I get such a beautiful CAS? And I was very surprised that many people haven't heard of the lalasimmer tutorial. I realize that many people don't want to deal with a blender, so I thought I'd give you a whole ten backgrounds for every taste. I also carefully reduced polygons in each of them, as well as slightly corrected the size of some textures (no one doubted it). I will be very pleased if you click on the heart and use these backgrounds. Have a nice day!

Functional Wells

These objects require Zoe22′s Functional Well mod to be installed.

They’re found in the catalogue under Plumbing/Misc.

The Dragon Valley well is now recolourable with Create a Style.

The ts2 well and the recolourable Dragon Valley well also come as a decorative variation, found under Decor/Sculptures.

The Dragon Valley well requires World Adventures, the waterhole Ambitions, and the pump Pets. The Fountain of Youth and the ts2 Wishing Well are basegame compatible.

Update May 19th 2020: I added some water-storage objects (lower picture). They’re included in the ‘Functional’ download. These are all basegame-compatible.

Private Clinic - Psychiatry

Ever want to do something to help all the messed up Sims in your town? With this mod, your Sim can run a private clinic as a therapist.

You can join the Psychiatry career, buy a Therapist couch and start treating patients for all their emotional and mental maladies. Using a clinic controller object, patients will be pushed to your clinic lot in need of treatment. Active patients can be identified by the orange and white symbol over their head (pictured above).

This is the first part of a larger game mod that allows Sims to be more active doctors similar to what we have in TS4 Get to Work. Your Sim will be able to run a clinic out of their house or from a commercial lot and treat patients for different ailments. Eventually you'll be able to play as a Psychiatrist, Optometrist, Ob-GyM, or a General Physician.

This mod also adds two additional features:

Medicine - Sims can buy prescription or over-the-counter medicine to treat various mild ailments. Medicines can be purchased at the grocery store (Home section) or Buy catalog. There is also a collection file where you can find all available objects. Prescription medicine can only be obtained at the grocery store or hospital with a prescription.

Drug Addiction - Sims can get addicted to the prescription medicine if they overuse it. This can lead to withdrawal symptoms and potential overdose. There is an option to go to rehab at the hospital for Sims that need the help to kick the habit.

You need NRaas Careers (for the custom career), University, Island Paradise, Ambitions EPs.

The Private Clinic main module has all the medicines, the clinic controller and addiction system. You need that to play as a Therapist but if you just want the medicines, you only need to download these files. Note that you cannot write prescriptions or do anything doctor related without downloading the Psychiatry module. Download here

The Psychiatry module is required to play as a therapist. The career is optional but some features won't be available without it. Download here

Updated Decrap Store Fixes

This is a continuation of the fixes for decrapified store content. To Install, extract the files to Mods\Overrides. If you have the ContentPatch file in your Overrides folder, delete it.

Resolved issues: Fixed the never-ending loading screen after using the buyDebug cheat, removed duplicates and blank tiles in build/buy mode and CAS.

Non-Decrapified Store Content

As an alternative, you may consider using my non-decrapified conversions of store content into package files that do not require the fixes above. EA patches and other important fixes have already been applied. Keep in mind that all decrapified store items in your saves and lots will be replaced with base game items after switching to non-decrapified store content.
