The Apostle Paulâs prayer for the thorn to be removed from his life, wasnât necessarily denied by God, it just wasnât answered the way he expected. . âMy grace is sufficient for you", God compassionately replied. âMy power is made perfect in weakness.â . You know, I wonder if Paul let out a heavy sigh after hearing Godâs response. Yes, we know Paulâs response was to say, âTherefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christâs power may rest on me.â ButâŠeven stillâŠthe process leading up to that moment was not an easy one for Paul. . He didnât receive the answer I am sure he was hoping for, but we have learned through his story that; what may be a hardship to us, is an invitation to God. What we so often consider a ânoâ from God, can actually be translated into an invitation to better understand who He is. . God could have removed this âthornâ, but then Paul would have missed out on the sweet revelation and strength of Godâs sustaining grace. He became even closer to God which was inevitably what he needed all along. More of God is always the answer. . I urge you today to take a moment to consider this truth in your own life. Is there a prayer you have written off as a ânoâ from God, and have thrown into your inventory of disappointments? . Could it be that He is extending the same offer to you as He did to Paul? To better know Him and personally experience His redeeming grace? God may not always remove the tough circumstance, but rest assure, He will strengthen you by His grace to endure and finish the race. â view on Instagram https://ift.tt/2Mbnd1f
I was listening to the song 'The less I know the better' by Tame Impala who I'm pretty sure isn't a Christian singer at all lol but the lyrics really reminded me of the Book to Hosea; God chasing after his lost nation who are too busy pursuing others to fill his place, chasing after the flesh in the form of wealth, wine and feeling like they aren't neglected. God stands by them the ENTIRE TIME! Waiting for his 'love' to return to him even if they're too busy chasing after 'Trevor's' đđ anyways tell me what you think about secular music: any songs you feel God has reached out to you with? The Holy Spirit is amazing!

He is uprooting disbelief. He is pulling sinful weeds that have overgrown and taken root within our hearts. We often feel the sharp sting as He prunes us but the end result is worth the growing pains. He cuts away the dead in order to give us new life. . âEvery branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruitâ (John 15:2) â view on Instagram https://ift.tt/34AnEsc
Just come to my ask box and tell me stuff about yourself. Your pets. Your favorite music. What you had for breakfast this morning. Literally anything you want, I love making new friends
To partake in pornography is abusive to yourself because it will cause you shame. It also shows you donât understand your identity. You are worth more than that. The people you are selfishly gratifying your passions through are worth more than that. Dive into your God given identity and educate yourself on the God-given value of every individual made in the image of God.
If you use pornography, there is grace. There is freedom. There is forgiveness. There is deliverance. I declare the victory I have received from God over you and declare that you are cleansed now and continually from sin by the blood of Jesus.
Too much of God's love đ
God has really done some serious purification since I first entered secondary school. If I could meet my past self I'd give her a big teddy bear hug and let her know all the pain will be worth it. Although the flames will still burn the same. It's all been worth it. I constantly need to remind myself now at 17. The vulnerability I've grown into with God would suprise past me. I talk to him openly as my friend. Slang, eyerolls, tears and all. And he listens. He cares about every second of it! Even the things which aren't actually that imooetsnt. He doesn't deny my emotions. He doesn't make me feel invalid for them. What a friend I have in Jesus.
