heyo! a friend of mine, @igetanxiousoverusernames, has recently joined tumblr and she is looking for fellow Christians to follow! she’d prefer blogs that post some specifically Christian content (doesn’t have to be exclusively that but it should be present) and people who are encouraging in regards to mental illness.

I aint gonna articulate this right but I’ve noticed there’s this weird sub culture on tumblr where it’s frowned upon to say anything positive about your life. Like occasionally I see someone post something like “I love my job so much” and a few responses are like “wish I could find a job :/” or “must be nice to not have depression” and it’s really strange. A lot of people are pulling themselves out of dark places or finally figuring out how to be happy (no easy feat) and they don’t need you projecting your own demons on their moments of happiness they wanted to share.

The desert process is one of refining and pruning; God pressing you at the winepress will HURT and you will CRY but before a plant grows a seed must die and God needs to kill what is holding you back from sprouting into the beautiful flower he envisions you as!
