Would love to be on a beach right now!
I think it’s beautiful when God saves you from something you wanted so badly
To partake in pornography is abusive to yourself because it will cause you shame. It also shows you don’t understand your identity. You are worth more than that. The people you are selfishly gratifying your passions through are worth more than that. Dive into your God given identity and educate yourself on the God-given value of every individual made in the image of God.
If you use pornography, there is grace. There is freedom. There is forgiveness. There is deliverance. I declare the victory I have received from God over you and declare that you are cleansed now and continually from sin by the blood of Jesus.
Jesus: I want to walk through this with you.
Me, full of doubt and fear: But what if this isn’t something that ends? What if this is something I can never walk THROUGH?
Jesus: Then we will just keep walking.
Please, don’t give up
still healing from things i don't speak about, i just take it day by day
The desert process is one of refining and pruning; God pressing you at the winepress will HURT and you will CRY but before a plant grows a seed must die and God needs to kill what is holding you back from sprouting into the beautiful flower he envisions you as!
growth is sometimes a lonely process
best advice you’d give a girl ?
Sometimes, as women, we’re pressured to always put others before ourselves and give with little to nothing in return. Being giving is a beautiful quality to have, however, it shouldn’t be at the expense of your personal autonomy. If you keep giving and giving without getting anything in return, it’s easy to become used to the feeling of scarcity. Know that you deserve the goodness you give other people too. Iyanla Vanzant once said, “My cup runneth over.’ What comes out of the cup is for you. What’s in the cup is mine. But I’ve got to keep my cup full.” Pour into yourself too. When you make sure you’re good, you’ll be able to better help others.
With that being said, the best advice I can give is to focus on yourself. Do your best to make sure you’re balanced on all levels—mental, physical, spiritual and emotional. Avoid being distracted by the opinions of others and wasting time on significant others who aren’t sure about you. Avoid seeking other people and things to fulfill you. Be one of your own sources of fulfillment so you don’t have to look outside of yourself for it. Believe you’re enough. Know your worth and what you want in life and allow it to flow to you. Be like a cup—receptive to the flow of abundance. In the meantime, invest in your joy, your goals, your well-being and your health. Fill yourself up with peace and joy that comes from within. Be giving but don’t let other people take advantage of you. You are the longest relationship you’ll ever have. Make sure the relationship you have with yourself is compassionate and healthy.
I hope more Black women learn that we do NOT have to die on every hill. I hope more of us are selective in where we put our energy. I hope more of us become unwavering in our standards. I hope more of us realize that we have options even if we have preferences. I hope more of us realize that a happy, healthy, successful, carefree life can be protest enough. I want to see more of us unapologetically living well. I’m tired of being seen as a mule.
