In 1944 a kitten named George (short for General Electric) was saved from drowning by a U.S. Navy crew member. George was then photographed and given a liberty card and detailed health record. Source.
tumblr staff have...
allowed false flags of 100% sfw posts made by transfem users (and blacklisted trans-adjacent tags)
taken away basic accessibility features in an effort to tiktok-ify tumblr
pushed tumblr live, a feature users actively dislike which is mostly unused and overrun by spambots, that also collects all of your data
allowed ads that can literally kill people via flashing / strobing lights, even if the person had it filtered, despite user complaints, with the ceo even saying people with epilepsy should "just buy ad free" in response to concern over potential death or serious injury from such ads
STOP GIVING THEM MONEY! stop trying to make crab day or whatever else happen. paying for stuff from the shop is rewarding them for ignoring the userbase continuously and doing things the majority don't want, even if the things they're doing and allowing can cause actual deaths. staff shouldn't be praised and get profit for ignoring their users in exchange for trying to turn tumblr into twitter 2 ft. tiktok. at this point i don't even care for "staff are people š„ŗ be nice" arguments, because even when people are being very polite in feedback, they're perfectly fine ignoring it in exchange for implementing changes nobody wants or asked for, all because new users may like it more (and forget anyone who's used the site for years, apparently).
leave bad reviews. don't buy things from the shop. send feedback, even if they never reply. email them and @ the staff, send asks to the wip blog. don't just blindly buy into "we need to support the site, buy xyz shop product", they don't deserve more money for giving a worse product.
Every url that reblogās will be written in a book and shown to my homophobic dad.Ā
āPeople are inherently terribleā no!!! Have you ever seen a child wait for their friend while they tie their shoelaces? Have you ever known someone who would bring hurt squirrels and rabbits and mice to the nearest vet just so it doesnāt suffer? Have you seen someone grieve? Have you ever read something that hit your heart like a freight train? Have you looked at the stars and felt an unexplainable joy? Have you ever baked bread? Have you shared a meal with a friend? Have you not seen it? All the love? All the good? I know itās hard to see sometimes, I know thereās pain everywhere. But look, thereās a child helping another up after a hard fall. Look, thereās someone giving their umbrella to a stranger. Look, thereās someone admiring the spring flowers. Look, thereās good, thereās good, thereās good. Look!!!!
Updating this since I'm doing more things now. I go by lots of names depending on where u know me from, mostly Az tho

I'm a musician but I dont always have the motivation to write (or record) my music so don't expect much in the way of posts about it. My music also seems a bit inconsistent since I go through short phases where I'll like certain sounds more than others but then go back on it and the result is sometimes pretty chaotic. At the moment, I haven't recorded any music (at least not in a useable recording quality lol) but I'll update when/if I do.
@lyzergide-daydreaming is my more active blog

fun fact of the day: anyone who tells you that "femme" and "butch" can only be used by lesbians took the terf pills- white cis lesbian separationists (terfs) are the ones behind the idea that only lesbians can use butch and femme when many lesbians of color have their own terms for masc and fem lesbians. this is also an effort to erase the history the terms butch and femme have had in including trans and gnc people, drag performers, bears, masc and fem gays into their preferred gender expression and community spaces. it's a historically inaccurate argument. have a good day!
I want to say one more thing as a cis person who experimented with labels over the years, questioned my gender, and ended up as cis after all. The trans community did not "indoctrinate" me. I had always been asking these questions, even as a little kid before I knew trans people even existed. Over the years, trans women gave me the courage to explore the femininity I wasted my youth denying, trans men taught me that manhood is what you make of it and that nobody could tell me how to define it, and nonbinary people taught me just how limitless my possibilities were. The only parts of my upbringing that left me "confused" about gender were the conservatives who imposed a vision of gender that my friends and I could not relate to. And when I realized trans identity wasn't something I could claim after all, the community loved me all the same. I am happier, and the world is more beautiful, because of trans people. The human impulse to create and survive isn't going anywhere, and neither are trans people.
"I cAn FiX hIm" "I cAn MaKe HiM wOrSe" nonsense. I can make him listen to Will Wood and the Tapeworms, which makes him better and worse.
Gee, I thought these people were the ones who were like āIf you donāt like it, you can just move to a blue state.ā
And now theyāre mad the guy is doing just that?
You canāt oppress and discriminate against someone then be mad when they take their highly useful skill elsewhere.
