word cards and washing tape //
my exam didn't go as well as I had hoped, so I really have to catch up on all the lectures and practice problems
// listening to: "Good in Bed" by Dua Lipa
as someone who spent time in a mental institution because of an eating disorder and lived with girls with similar problems - body hair fucking MULTIPLIES when you lose weight it’s annoying af - please for the love of God at least take vitamins if you’re restricting your food intake - victoria’s secret models talk about how they eat five meals a day and it’s fucking BULLSHIT i ate five times a day but you know what i considered a meal? four whole wheat cookies that’s dinner, soup w 10 pieces of penne that’s breakfast. your brain doesn’t work like it’s supposed to with this disease it starts to rationalize things that are very very scary - you don’t even notice yourself lose weight when you pass 100 lbs - your stomach shrinks to the point where three spoonfuls of rice make it feel full and for the first few weeks of recovery you’re just stuffing down food until it hurts and it feels heavy and that’s normal but it absolutely gets better - your body needs carbs to survive - your brain doesn’t work like it’s supposed to your concentration turns to shit and you feel like you’re walking around in a thick fog - everything is mentally and physically exhausting - a banana is not a meal, it’s barely a snack
8 hours of studying, 2 coffees, 2 sandwiches and so much biochemistry & immunology later, i can at least safely say today was productive (and binge a new netflix show). still can’t get over how pretty this library is.

reminder that biden wants to:
raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour
scrap past marijuana convictions
make college free for two years
increase the pay for teachers, particularly in underfunded schools
significantly increase taxes on the rich (both direct wealth taxes along with additional taxes on major corporations)
have universal background checks for firearm purchases
get us back into the paris agreement in order to switch to clean energy by 2035 (and his plan has been outlined already and the first few steps have been specified)
end the cocaine sentencing disparity (as it is deeply racist)
abolish the death penalty
support a government mandated 12 weeks of paid family leave for workers
eliminate private prisons
this man fully acknowledges the science behind climate change (unlike trump), wants to work to fix certain racist elements in american society (unlike trump), supports the lower and middle classes (unlike trump), is willing to put his money where his mouth is (unlike trump), and isn’t a full on fascist that ignores the global pandemic and takes the side of neo-nazis and white supremacists (unlike trump). biden is miles better than trump. is he the ideal candidate? no, but he is willing to work towards making the USA a more progressive place and that is the first step we need to take. vote blue.
