The last photo makes me think the female cardinal is starting to figure out there’s a camera in the bird feeder.
Some really quality sunflower seed cracking content from today’s cardinal visitor to the bird buddy!
An early visit from the male cardinal, about midway though a catbird flys into the platform feeder in the background. The surprise visitor is somewhat unidentified, either a female cardinal or one of the shy juveniles that is hanging around but hasn’t made an official visit to the bird buddy yet!
Bald eagle parents and juveniles in the Canaveral National Seashore on 3/11/23.
Another lovely surprise at the bird buddy this morning, a male painted bunting!
Immediately after the painted bunting left, a blue jay showed up at the bird buddy. Such a size and color difference!
A two part video visit from a male northern cardinal this morning on the bird buddy.
New bird alert! A female painted bunting stopped by this morning. I almost didn’t believe it wasn’t a cardinal based on how often they visit the feeder.
Breakfast was interrupted for this female cardinal when my dogs made an unexpected cameo and ran into the backyard where they scared her from the feeder! Bonus points for the squirrels who also went running when they heard the dogs approaching.
