Immediately after the painted bunting left, a blue jay showed up at the bird buddy. Such a size and color difference!

The first tomato harvest of the year! These are actually from a volunteer plant that popped up next to the house that has somehow been thriving in the sandy soil since the cooler months.

Recent bird buddy visitor: a common grackle!

More of the local fauna at the North Sebastian Conservation Area on 2/18/23: a gopher tortoise right off the trail, an alligator sunning in the canal just outside the parking lot, scrub jays of course and the causal skydivers parachuting into the neighboring Sebastian airport.
