I mean, yes, I could have put all that in a single post, but an increasingly unhinged self-reblog chain has better dramatic pacing.

My mother loves to imply things she knows nothing about: "of course it will be super easy to pick the flute back up for this song! It doesn't matter that it's been 14 years since you last played! This part is just so gorgeous the notes would come back to you!"
Nevermind that shes tried to learn the flute multiple times and still can't manage to get a sound out
Ngl I was trying to figure out way too long why using pineapple juice to poison Duke was dumb. Like? He's allergic! That kills him! That's a simple solution when you don't have drugs to do the same.
Then I remembered: Miles was trying to frame it like he was the intended victim. This only works if there was actually a drug in there. With the pineapple juice, it's very clear that either 1) Miles accidently put pineapple in his drink and Duke picked it up tragically or 2) Miles intentionally put pineapple juice in his drink and murdered Duke.
Either way, he can not frame it as an attempt on his life, and ALSO he would have in best case scenerio with all good intentions, accidently murdered a guy. Manslaughter. By using the pineapple juice he assured he couldn't have been the victim.
It's funny that fanfiction is considered a lesser form of literature because "anyone of any skill can write and post it" as if the same doesn't apply to regular books. Any rich asshole with too much free time and an underpaid ghost writer can slap anything they want on the market, and this was the case well before fanfic and webnovels were getting published. You're going to have to wade through a lot of garbage and mids to find a gem no matter what media you're trying to consume. Just because someone's charging money for it doesn't mean it's actually good.
