Writing is a form of therapy; sometimes I wonder how all those who do not write, compose, or paint can manage to escape the madness, melancholia, the panic and fear which is inherent in a human situation.
Hey, Tumblr. How are you doing? We hope you’re staying safe and taking care of yourself.
There’s been a lot of misinformation flying around about the coronavirus disease, or COVID-19. In an effort to help combat that, last week we surfaced some reliable sources (and mental health resources) over here in this post. This week we want to give you the opportunity to ask a doctor questions you need answered.
Dr. Rita Issa is a physician in London. She holds a diploma in tropical medicine, is a lecturer in public health, and has previously worked with Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors without Borders) and the World Health Organization.
Dr. Issa will answer questions on the COVID-19, as well as inform everyone on how we can become “super-preventers,” live Friday, March 20th, at 3 p.m. ET right here on @staff.
If you want to submit your question for consideration, head on over to our ask box right now and ask away. The best way to keep yourself safe is by keeping yourself informed.
Once you’re done submitting your question, take a peek below at this video from Dr. Issa (with the help of VideoRev) describing five ways to disrupt the coronavirus:
Stay safe, Tumblr.

We recently got the luck of seeing one of the most beautiful fishes of Bali, maybe even the world, out of the hole it usually hides in: the gorgeous ribbon eel. Ribbon eels are very aptly named, you can see that for yourselves. They also are a very interesting fish. Indeed, like some underwater inhabitants, they will go through a sex change in the course of their lives. However, they don’t do it in the usual order. Like the clownfish, they are born males and evolve into females, in time. It is actually very easy to notice, the males being bright blue and yellow while the females turn completely yellow. And this ine is actually a teenager, as it till bears some black from its younger days. Isn’t nature just fascinating? 🐠🎗️💫
