Some of us stay with people because we don’t want to abandon them at a low point.
Some of us stay with people because we were with them through such low points and now that their doing better we feel like we earned the prize of their growth that came at the end.
Sometimes when we are the depressed and someone sticks with us we feel like we can’t leave because that person was with you when you were your worst.
But we have to evaluate.
If your growth means you have outgrown the relationship, then it’s okay to leave.
If that person was with you at your lowest but you don’t think they can help you reach your highest then it’s okay to bounce.
Part of growth is being able to recognize what you need, and then taking steps to obtain it.
If a person has reached the end of a relationship , then it’s okay to move on.
Don’t worry about being polite.
Worry about what’s best.
If the new you isn’t 100% here then it’s because the new you should be somewhere else.
If you are trying to think of ways to make something work then your ignoring the ease that will come with the right thing in your near future.
Look at the tortoise and the hare.
That bunny got too comfortable , he held himself back. He kept stopping to look at the flowers, take naps, and do eveything but move forward.
And the tortoise!
He may not have gotten there fast but he made it to his destination right on time.he got their right when he was suppose to. He knew where he needed to go and he didn’t let anyone or thing stop him from moving forward.
Now this could be your partner, your job, your friends, your family, your location, your strongholds.
Whatever is holding you back, leave it.
When you see what you could be
When you see where you could be
Once you know that your potential is endless
Don’t stop
Take yourself to the end.
The world will keep moving forward with or without you. But where do you wanna be ? Still holding onto something at the starting line, or jumping through the valleys of freedom and possibilities at the finish?
Let go
What is meant to be will be.
In the mist of it all
I shine
In the space of existence
I float
I swim
I tred
I become
I move though time
As my own light
I move with grace
I stumble
I fail
I make wrong turns
But each step I take
Is the right one
The journey is even more
If not
Just as
Important as the unknown destination
.
.
A beam of being slides through the universe
What would you call such a happenstance?
.
.

.
.
Life.

We gotta push for the betterment of humanity. We have to push for humans to be treated as humans.
UPDATES ON AMAZON PRIME STRIKE AND PRIME DAY!
The basics:
Thousands of workers in Spain, Germany and the US have been striking leading up to and on Prime Day, Amazon’s biggest sale, calling for better working conditions, pay and health benefits.
Nearly 1,800 Amazon workers (96% of the workers at the San Fernando warehouse) in Spain went on strike Monday during Prime Day, the company’s biggest sales day of the year
Thousands more Amazon employees in Germany are expected to walk off the job Tuesday, the second day of the sale in six warehouses.
Amazon’s website and mobile app crashed for about 45 minutes, due to a computer glitch – the most widespread to date, costing Amazon millions of dollars
In the US, advocacy groups are planning several consumer rallies outside Amazon-owned Whole Foods Market locations to protest the sale of Nazi, Confederate and white nationalist merchandise through Amazon’s marketplace of third-party sellers.
Amazon is still expected to profit more this year than last year. Let’s hope we can keep spreading the word about the boycott and prove them wrong. Spain’s strike is supposed to last through the 18th, so keep boycotting
Do what is right
Trust God and do the things your suppose to do
Everyone will be rewarded for their Deeds
Everyone will be rewarded for their Dedication
Do not lose sight of what is right
Do not bend if you know what is right
Good comes to those who don’t expect it
Good comes when Good is given
Surely
Goodness and mercy shall follow us
All the days of our lives
And we shall dwell in the presence of the Lord
Forever
Amen.
Art has definitely been a therapy for me. Whenever no one is there, or no one understands, throw it down in your art. Get it out. Sing, dance, paint, write. Do whatever you gotta do to let it out. Every frustration, tear, and smile. Create work that will uplift you. Create work that only you can understand , something that only you can enjoy in the specialist of ways; As a creator.
I love you, and I can’t wait to see what you create
Do you confess to grow
Or stay silent and still
Do you push
Do you pull
Or wade and tread
Do you want to to feel good in freedom
Or immobile behind a vacant smile
Make the choice
In the end it will always be better
Better isn’t always what you want
But it’s what you’ll get
New acquisition for The Free Black Women’s Library 🖤 ⭐️ a book I’ve been wanting to read for a long minute, THE GAMES THAT BLACK GIRLS PLAY - Learning the ropes from Double Dutch to Hip Hop by Kyra Gaunt. As someone who is deeply invested in Black girl culture and Black girl creativity, I’ve been very curious about this book by brilliant writer, professor and ethnomusicologist Kyra Gaunt since I first heard of it years ago. When we think of Black popular music, our first thought is probably not of double Dutch; girls bouncing between two twirling ropes, keeping time to the tick tat under their toes. But this book argues that the games Black girls play – hand clapping songs, cheers, and double Dutch jump rope both reflect and iinspire the principles of Black popular music making. This book illustrates how our musical styles are incorporated into the earliest games girls learn and how in a fact these games contain the DNA of Black music. In this celebration of playground poetry and childhood choreography, through interviews, recordings, personal memories and anecdotes Kyra uncovers the rich contributions of girls play to Black popular culture.
Ok that’s actually disgusting, here’s a link to their gofundme
That bitch Barbie has set a tone for me that I haven’t allowed myself to access in awhile. To embrace and evoke the power within me to exude out. I see this divine energy in those around me. I wonder if they feel it oozing in them the way it does me. I wonder if they feel it coming out their pore in the way I see it .
