there was this really hot boy in my dream once. he kept looking at me and he’s soo mysterious. he has brown armin arlert hair, dark green eyes with those pretty eyebags, 2 shades lighter than i am (he’s Russian, help), had this gauze wrapped around his left hand (found out in the dream that he pierced it with a very sharp object. so uh he has Jesus hands, slayyy); basically, he’s a tim burton character. “well, what does this have to do with manifesting an sp?” you see, he’s my literal dream boy; ever since i saw him (in a dream 😭) i kept visualizing that he would be my neighbour and we’d go to the same school and we are dating. ive been doing this for like weeks (i was also visualizing having my dream face & body).

guess who i saw few hours ago.. MY DREAM BOY, PLEASE. When I went out of my apartment (more like ‘our’ since, my parents are paying the rent) to get something from the shoe rack, I SAW HIM (with a mom and dad talking to him IN RUSSIAN) HE WAS EXACTLY LIKE THAT GUY IN MY DREAMS, SPEAKS RUSSIAN, THE ARMIN ARLERT HAIR CUT, THE JESUS HAND; LITERAL HEAD TO TOE. AND THEN WE MADE EYE CONTACT AND I JUST KNOW HE SMIRKED LIKE AEHEAHAHEH.

Literally, my manifestations CAME in time, bcs I also just got my desired appearance a few days ago (had to revise that my parents thought i always looked like my da since few weeks back cuz im scared they’ll think im an intruder). Monday Spell.

Day of the Moon, & the Goddess Diana. 

Purpose:

To reinvigorate, refocus, replenish, rebuild, and reinforce the soul and the magic it holds within, which in turn rebuilds the body, heart, and mind.

Time: 

About 45 minutes, to 1 hour depending on how long you want to spend on each visualization. 

Allergy Warnings:

This spell uses eggs, chocolate, and honey, if you are allergic to any of the materials I encourage you to replace the materials with ones that represent the same meanings as the originals. Please do not place yourself in harms way to complete this spell the way I have it written, the Craft is different to each of us, and should be explored in accordance with our own magic and not the magic of another.

Materials: 

(1) Uncooked, Unbroken Egg: representing resurrection and protection. In this spell representing the breaking apart of the old self to expose the new.

A tablespoon of Clover Honey: representing attraction, stability, and sweetening. In this spell representing bringing in and holding blessings to you, as well as steadying the soul.

(2-3) Bay Leaves: representing protection, boosting, prophecy, purification, defense. In this spell representing purifying the past, protecting the soul from the present, and bringing the desired future to the caster, as well as boosting the caster’s spiritual energy and overall well-being. 

A tablespoon of Salt: representing prosperity and protection. In this spell, the salt is used to cast the circle that protects the caster from forces that may be in effect to prevent the casters intentions. 

A bowl half-full of Water: representing cleansing, healing, renewal. In this spell representing the purification of the soul, and the transition from the old way/self and into the new. 

Bundle of Palo Santo/Sage: representing cleansing. In this spell being used to clean the energy of the circle and surrounding space and materials before beginning to imbue them with new intentional energy. 

Fire/Flame: representing empowerment, enlightenment, comfort, rebirth, inspiration, illumination, hearth and heart, manifestation. In this spell representing the light that illuminates the soul’s dreams and intentions for the week ahead, brightening the dark corners of the heart to banish bad habits and bad energy that has hidden there. Represents making space for ones soul by burning away the brush, and beginning a new garden there to flourish.

Morsel of Milk Chocolate: representing self-love, nurturing, and balance. In this spell representing the acceptance of the self, and the blessings being your true self will bring you throughout the week. 

White Candle (Scented or Unscented okay): representing healing, protection, harmony, unity. In this spell representing all parts of the self working together as one to exist as the fullest capable being you are on all planes of existence and throughout every trial you might face. 

Set-Up Steps: 

Choose a room that will be empty for the duration of your spell, preferably with concrete, hardwood, or tiled floor for the salt circle. There should be no music, no other background noise from a television or other media, and you should not use your phone for the duration of the spell. You want to focus your full attention on this. You are welcome to print this spell if you choose to. Try to pick a room with a window, or with a mirror. Either of these is fine, but try to have one or the other.

Light the Palo Santo/Sage/Cleansing herb of your choice, & cleanse the room you’ve picked. Make sure any windows are open for the negative energy to dissipate, and then close them again when done cleansing so you can refill the room with intentional energy during your spell. Everyone does cleansing a little differently in accordance with their practice, but if looking for inspiration: I cleanse by first running the lit bundle across my whole body and drawing the sign of Lilith on my abdomen in smoke. Then I draw gentle circles in the air going up and down across each wall of the room before completing a large spiral until I am at the center of the room, and finally letting my herbs slowly burn out. To cleanse your materials, you can do a very similar method: drawing chosen signs and sigils in the air over your materials, and then encasing them in a ring of cleansing smoke. 

Cast your circle. This can be done with chalk as a base, or just with the salt, do your best to make it 3″ by 3″ or a little bigger so that you can sit either on your knees or with crossed legs in the center. Of course you should already have all your materials as well as yourself within the boundaries of the circle as you cast it around yourself. It is best to meditate before officially casting your circle, to make sure you are bringing in true intentions with you without doubt, you want to be focused to being about the best possibilities in this spell.

Set up your materials: sit in the center point of the circle, facing either a window or a mirror, and make sure all materials are laid out within the circle. The bowl of water shoulder be directly in front  of you to start. 

This spell does not have an incantation, but instead is a visualization spell, so you will need to steady your mind as you complete each step. I have written this spell to my personal visualizations, but please make it your own with the images you decide to conjure as you follow each step.

Spell Steps:

Step (1): Begin by taking the unbroken egg, and gently rinsing it in the bowl of water. With each rub of your fingers, and dip of water, visualize yourself in your own hands, being cleaned and held with love and absolute safety. Do this step until the image you have in your head is very strong, and only stop once you feel your soul is fresh and awake, ready to begin anew. 

Step (2): Leave the egg resting in the water, it is important the egg is not fully submerged so that your soul can breathe and is not smothered. Pick up the bay leaves in your damp hands (do not dry them at any point in the spell), and hold them over the bowl. Imagine a golden light above your head, and slowly crumble the leaves in your hands, letting them fall onto the egg and into the water of the bowl. Do this very slowly, allowing yourself to slowly sink into a quietness of the mind, feel warmth from your head down, and if you feel the urge to smile don’t hold back. I personally like to let myself sway gently when the euphoria takes over.

Step (3): Leaving any scraps of bay leaves on your hands, take the tablespoon of Clover honey and dip it into the bowl of water. Gently begin stirring in the honey in a clockwise motion around the egg (it’s okay if the egg starts to move in the current), and continue this until the honey is fully dissolved off the spoon. As you are stirring, close your eyes and visualize yourself in your safe space in the sunlight, the air is charged and alive, and the scent of honey is on the air. You are at once feeling asleep and awake, and you know you are at home. 

Step (4): Place the honey spoon back on the floor, and light the white candle you have with you. Set it in between yourself and the bowl, and return to gently washing the egg in the newly anointed water. Remember that the egg is you, and that we are trying to unleash the power you hold within, the very yolk of yourself. Imagine a small child slowly turning inside your chest, rubbing it’s eyes of sleep, and unfurling itself to fill the space it has inside you. Once the image is strong in your mind, and you feel your child is just about to open its eyes and finally wake, break the egg on the side of the bowl and release the yolk into it, leaving the shell inside the circle but not inside the bowl. The child you have seen inside your soul, should be fully awake now, smiling with light and peace, at home within you, and somehow outside of you as well. Feel the strong sense of self and belonging spread over and out of you in waves as you restore your soul and aura with love. 

Step (5): Place the morsel of milk chocolate in your dominant hand, with your other hand cupped beneath the one holding it. Imagine your child reaching out for the chocolate as you lift your hands to your mouth and place it on the center of your tongue. Do not chew, or swallow the morsel, but let it slowly melt in your mouth, all the while visualizing your soul child savoring the taste along with you, harmonizing your joy together so that both the body and the soul are in unity as they should be.

Step (6): Once the chocolate is fully melted, swallow it and meditate with your soul until you feel complete oneness with them, and the barriers that life places between your soul and body no longer exist. Allow your mind to fully settle, and your body too, un-tense all muscles and release all thoughts except for your soul child from your mind until the candle has burnt out, or until you are ready for the next step (if you are using a larger candle please snuff it out at this point in the spell).

Step (7): Dip both hands into the bowl, and visualize your Child’s hands overlapping yours, their body and your body is one now as the soul should fully inhabit the body. Begin washing your hands in the bowl, slowly ageing up your soul until the fill out the whole of your body and their age and appearance matches your own. This may take quite a bit of time to fully visualize, but continue to wash your hands throughout, as it is very important to completely realize your self as you truly are in every aspect. What you consider your weaknesses, or your imperfections, are actually your strengths and your truest beauty when fully realized and brought away from the cruel context of life.

Step (8): Close out the spell. You can do this in any way you please, so long as the meaning is the ending of your casting. Many people choose to say “amen”, “thank you”, or may also choose to praise a chosen god/goddess/spirit guide for closing a cast. I personally do not have a token deity in my practice, so I close my spells with the simple “So Mote it Be”. 

Step (9): Take a shower, or bath. Like we bathed the egg, we now clean ourselves, sharing the warmth or chill of the flowing water with our souls, and joining them in the joyous rapture for the week and life ahead of us both. Afterwards, clean up the materials from the spell, and enjoy your week!

Writing Superpowers, and Reality Warpers in particular

The difficulty with writing superpowered characters, particularly high-tier ones, is that it’s easy to make a character feel overpowered, but there is a simple remedy for this: the character’s power set should be based around one basic concept.

I’ll start by explaining what I mean by “this character feels overpowered”. I don’t mean “this character is, on paper, far more powerful than their opponent” - that can actually be a good thing, forcing the opponent to make their clash a battle of brains rather than brawn. What I do mean is “this character’s powers are so immense that the only way to challenge them narratively is through contrived circumstances or a plot device that should be used sparingly”. Superman manages to be a good example of both, depending on which depiction you look at, but he’s not gonna be the focus of this post. Instead, we’ll start with Gwenpool.

The premise of Gwenpool’s solo comic is “Gwen is from the real world but ends up in the comic book world”, and as the story goes on she learns to use her awareness of the fact that she’s in a comic book to do stuff that is essentially reality-warping. And it’s a bizarre kind of reality warping, but everything she does makes sense because it follows the core premise: “she can do this because she can interact with the medium of the comic”. She can step from one panel into the next, she can come out of a flashback and into the present day, she can grab sound effects and so cancel out noises, she can interact with thought-boxes and speech-bubbles. And because her powers follow a core premise, she doesn’t feel overpowered, because you don’t end up feeling like she can do anything the plot demands

If a character is a magic-user then they’re essentially a reality warper. The scale of reality-warping their capable of will depend on their skill, their raw power, and the magic system at play. Now, there are arguments for hard magic systems and for soft magic systems, but I think even if you’re working with a soft magic system, a core premise helps a lot. I might make another post some day examining different magic systems (I think I’d specifically look at Avatar and at Chronicles of Ancient Darkness), but this post isn’t the time for an in-depth look at that.

There are also plenty of sci-fi reality warpers. There’s often some attempt at explaining it (”higher-dimensional beings” or “extremly advanced aliens”) but if you asked me, I’d say there were three main options for how to portray a genuine reality warper in a sci-fi story, without resorting to “space magic, but we don’t call it that.” These are: physics manipulation, higher-dimensional beings, and something I’ll call constrained omnipotence.

A physics manipulator would be someone who can locally alter the laws of physics. There’s two ways to go about this: changing the values of the physical constants, like G or c, or manipulating the quantum fields that define the laws of physics. If you go with the former… well, imagine you’re a computer programmer and decide to change one letter in one line of code, and you’ll start to understand how much this can mess things up. If you go with the latter, it’s probably a similar thing. I don’t understand much about quantum fields and how they interact just yet, but I do know that raising one a few energy levels in a specific place would a) take a lot of power, b) create some really Weird Physics in that place, and c) release a lot of potential energy when it goes back to normal. I’m talking “massive explosion”. The fun part, though, is that Weird Physics - I have no idea how it would look, but if we assume that the non-reality warpers can enter the Weird Physics Zone without blinking out of existence or dying horrifically, they’ll be faced with a world that doesn’t make sense. None of their technology would work properly, if at all. And in contrast, the reality warper might have tech specifically designed to work in the Weird Physics Zone. Remember that technology is just our way of taking advantage of physics to do cool stuff - a differently coded videogame is going to have very different glitches to exploit.

The point is, a physics manipulator can do certain things: they can make physics Weird and then take advantage of that weirdness. They can’t do anything the plot demands.

A higher-dimensional being’s whole deal is going to be that they move stuff around in more dimensions than we can see. There are a few videos on youtube demonstrating how that might look, if you wanna get an idea of how to depict something like that. And once again, a higher-dimensional being can do certain things: they can make stuff appear, disappear, distort, hover, et c. by moving it around in more dimensions than we can observe. If they’re 4-dimensional, they can move throughout time, and move objects throughout time. If they’re 5-dimensional or higher they can probably move through multiple timelines as well. They can’t do anything the plot demands.

And the last one is the constrained omnipotent character. True omnipotence is logically impossible - by definition it creates paradoxes - but we could conceivably have a character who can do anything within the bounds of physics. Presumably this character can use an insane amount of energy with an insane degree of precision, since that’s kind of required to do anything as long as it doesn’t break physics - but that’s also the point. They can do anything except stuff that breaks physics. Ergo, they can’t do anything the plot demands, only certain things.

tl,dr: no matter how powerful a character is, their powers should have some sort of core concept, as this will make them feel grounded even if they’re completly ludicrous on paper. You don’t have to explain in detail how their powers work, but if you keep that core concept in mind, then you can get a lot more creative with how they use their powers than just saying “ok, what does the plot need them to do?”

Information magic, at first, is not meant to control but to introduce a concept for possible results. Art is a beautiful way to spread Ideas.

TIME CRUNCH MANIFESTATIONS & THEIR ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES

manifesting on a time crunch means manifesting something by a certain date. think of a school assignment: you have to submit it by a certain date, right? time crunch manifestations work like school assignments. time crunch manifestations are practical because you know exactly when you’ll get your desires! and they’re not at all more complicated than “basic” manifestations.

so, to manifest on a time crunch, set a “deadline” for your manifestation. some examples could be: “i’ll have a boyfriend in a week”, or “on monday i’ll get 1000 dollars”, or “by next month i’ll live in hawaii”. assume that these thoughts are true, persist, and you’ll get them exactly when you planned them! ain’t that exciting?? <3

I manifested so much (especially when I was a kid) bc I was just "dumb".

Like something didn't go my way, I didn't feel bad, I was genuinely just confused.

Once when I was like 4 or 5, I went to this boardwalk with my mom and we spent all our money on shops so by the time we got to the carnival part, my mom hadn't realized and was like, "sorry honey, we only have enough for games, so no rides."

5 year old me didn't cry, or get angry.

5 year old me was confused. Like I actively remember being confused and thinking something like, "that can't possibly be!"

And so while my mom was talking to the ticket lady, I turned around and saw a bill stuck in the boardwalk cracks. So I picked it up and gave it to my mom and was like, "Is this enough?"

And turns out (I didn't know money at the time), it was a $50. And my mom asked me where it came from, and I just said I found it. And nobody was running after it or anything, so she was like, "...Yeah!"

And so long story short...I got what I wanted and it was extremely instant...and lots of stuff happened to me like that with me manifesting as a kid bc I didn't 'know any better'.
