Headcanon that Percy gets a job at an aquarium that rehabilitates sea creatures and every creature in the facility is so incredibly happy to have their Sea Prince taking care of them.

Until he says he can’t swim with them because it’s not allowed and he’d get in trouble if he does (looking at you Myrtle the Sea Turtle) and won’t be allowed to take care of them.

The creatures that are allowed to return to the sea throw the biggest fit at Poseidon because they want to play with Percy and properly thank him for caring for them and next shift Percy works he’s surprised to find Dr. Po Seidon talking with his boss about letting him swim with the animals.

i love nature because it won’t judge you. the animals and plants won’t say any comments that will offend you. they won’t look at you in a judgmental way. birds can’t be homophobic… people can.
