my favorite thing about Kouta Hirano’s artstyle is that everyone makes this face constantly
recently introduced my american mother to the league of gentlemen. here are my gatherings:
- she does not believe that bernice is played by reece (this stems into her love for the makeup artists as she believes they did “very well at hiding reece particularly”)
- she is scared of edward and tubbs (in fact they are the main reason she never originally watched)
- i think her favourite plot line is the jobseekers ?? but tbh she does like all of them for the most part
- “what on earth were they on when writing series 2 and 3??”
- “who on earth comes up with the idea of a wife mine??”
- “i think it’s crazy that reece seems so normal in real life but can portray these characters so well, and especially so fluidly in the live shows.” this pairs up with her comment of “i think shearsmith is the worst [referring to the writing and partaking in good warped and creepy plot lines] of all of them”
- she really likes pop. she said it reminds her of her landlord from when she lived in nyc
- i think her favourite season was s2, she was very fixated on the nose bleeds and we watched the whole season in one night because she needed to know what was going on
- she doesn’t like geoff, mike, and brian very much, but did laugh at the “i won the mums” bit in live again
showing her the movie next !! we watched it all a bit out of order, but tbf the movie doesn’t exactly affect canon so it’s fine
