It’s a really good time to be an Avatar fan right now, with a LOT of content coming our way soon. So much that it’s hard to keep track of…
So here’s a classic korranews masterpost with everything you need to know.
September 2018
First up, in case you missed it, the following recent-ish stuff is already out!
All three parts of The Legend of Korra: Turf Wars graphic novel trilogy
The Legend of Korra: Pro-bending Arena, a super cool table top game with detailed figurines of a bunch of the characters
Secrets of Elvendale, a fantasy series on Netflix animated by Studio Mir
Pins!!! Check their online store because there’s about a million new ones (I need to make a whole masterpost just for that…)
The trailer for The Dragon Prince, a new animated fantasy series from the head writer of ATLA
The 2018 Korra FCBD comic
ATLA in true 1080p HD on Blu-ray and digital download!!!!!
And coming soon…
A new ATLA graphic novel trilogy, with a brand new writer and artist! The story covers a burgeoning bender-nonbender conflict in an industrial town, a very intriguing potential first link to the founding of Republic City and bridging the seventy-year gap to TLOK.
Part 1 comes out this year, on December 12th. Part 2 follows on April 16th 2019, with Part 3 expected in approximately August next year as well.
See all the detailed info we have so far, and keep up-to-date, with our #imbalance tag.
An anthology of comics following Team Avatar on various never-before-seen adventures! We don’t know a lot yet but this should be a very nice collection of stories.
This anthology hits shelves on January 2nd, 2019.

If the ATLA trilogies’ library editions are anything to go on, this volume collecting all three parts of Turf Wars should be a stunning hardcover with plenty of cool behind the scenes info, art, and extras.
You can get it on March 26th, 2019.

This scrapbook-type release dealing with Korra looking back on her journey so far is going to be filled with gorgeous, full illustrations and posters, in-universe letters, inserts, mementos, keepsakes, photos, and more. It should also have some new stories and moments with the characters. Sounds cool!!
It comes out on May 21st, 2019.

A big surprise we very happily got hit with recently, The Rise of Kyoshi is an upcoming epic YA novel series about the origins of Avatar Kyoshi from a humble corner of the Earth Kingdom, starting her journey to legendary greatness.
It’s going to be two books, with the first hitting shelves on July 16th, 2019. When Book 2 comes is anybody’s guess, but a year later in summer 2020 is a potential ballpark.

This is the one we know least about, but what’s exciting is that we know it exists at all! Korra’s story isn’t over yet: we have confirmation that a new graphic novel trilogy is happening. The rumor mill says we might finally be seeing the Fire Nation, but only time will tell…
We can hopefully expect some concrete information about this at NYCC in October. As for a release date, expect at least a few months between the end of Imbalance and the start of this, so late 2019 at the earliest, but probably 2020.

Oh, and one last thing…
That’s all.
⛰️🔥🌪️🌊
So there you have it, the full slate! Novels, graphic novels, comics, merch, books of all kinds… yep, it’s a good time to be an Avatar fan. (Next week in particular might have a lil something in store for you… 👀)
Who knows what else is just around the corner?! Whatever it is, it’s clear that this franchise is still going strong and won’t be stopping any time soon. Good news for us!!
I think the reason people hate Tony Stark so much is because they simply cannot understand what a true redemption arc is. Tony is the embodiment of realizing one’s mistakes and repenting for them for the rest of one’s life. From the moment Tony got hit with the shrapnel in his chest and realized his own ignorance and naivete, he’s dedicated his existence to destroying everything Stark Industries previously represented, more so after Yinsen died to give him a chance at escaping.
Yes, Tony made mistakes. That’s the point. Ignorance is not excusable, even if Stane was the one to do the bad deeds, and he is just as guilty (arguably a bit less than Stane). But he has more than paid for that ignorance. The arc reactor, his plenty near death experiences, his PTSD, anxiety, the near loss of both Pepper and Rhodey — all of that is his punishment (and his own mind which places ten times more guilt on his shoulders than should).
If people can’t move past his mistakes and see him for the hero he is, then that means that they aren’t able to give people second chances and don’t believe people change.
Tony wasn’t a pillar of morality and American patriotism since he came out of the womb like Steve, he had to grow and change and learn from his mistakes to get to the version of himself that he is today. And that is the reason people love him — because, putting his wealth and genius aside, Tony Stark is all of us. He is human, he errs, he grows and betters himself. Tony Stark is the hero all of us can be the minute we stop living in ignorance and work towards changing our ways.

Idk why but I feel compelled to say that the Lion King II is not as bad as many "Lion King Purist" make it out to be. Sure I understand that some roles have been recast and it ruins the "nostaliga" but for me that doesn't ruin the experience. I see it common to dismiss straight to DVD disney sequels as low quality cash grabs, and I get it, many of them clearly show it. But there's something different about this one, the quality in animation, the voice acting, the soundtrack, it's above other straight to DVD Disney movie sequels.
Lion king II was as much a part of my childhood as The Lion King. When LK1 came out I didn't see it. I was literally born that year. It wasn't until 1998 that I saw it, the same year LK2 came out. I had both of them and throughout my childhood I would watch both of them in a row. The soundtrack is burned into my mind.
And man that soundtrack. Lion King II's soundtrack is BANGERS yo! I'd say it's on par with the original Lion King's soundtrack but that's just my wild take.
He lives in you and We are one touch my soul
Upendi is such a fun falling in love song, visuals are great, lyrics are cool
One of us is AMAZING like...y'all how can anyone hate this?
And Love will find a way gives me chills tbh. I'm a sucker for duets and this one its...idk I just love it so much
Just look at that animation. This is is not your 2nd rate cash-grab make-a-quick-buck movie animation. You can see and hear the love put in it.
Now I do not know the history or any hardships that the cast and animators went when making this movie, I'm just comparing the animation quality of this one to other Disney DVD sequels.
Guys, I don't know how to end this. I just felt like saying that Lion King II is great. No it's not better that The Lion King but that is no reason to dismiss it. If you haven't seen it give it a watch, enjoy the soundtrack.
