Remember when Charles said he will miss “Carlos the person”? It’s soo devastating because four years is a really long time to be so close to someone and then realize you won’t be able to be as close anymore. It’s the most sincere answer he could have given because it’s not just about the racing or the fun or the banter it’s about having a teammate you can get along with so well that you will genuinely miss HIM and that is such a unique and rare teammate relationship and I’m glad they could experience it. And now that they’re no longer teammates we can still see how they’re always happy to see each other and how sometimes it still looks like they’re teammates when they’re walking together in the paddock or talking during the drivers’ parade because they still genuinely like spending time together and I think that’s beautiful.

"Today, probably, the first race where I maximized what the Williams can do. It's only my 5th race with the team... I think we did a good teamwork, we did everything we could, even though we didn't have the easiest of times in the pit lane with the slow pit stop. The mechanics have been amazing this year, today got a bit stressful for a minute, but then...we managed to bring home the P8." "I just need to keep doing what I'm doing, taking it step-by-step, race-by-race... Following my way of doing things and my philosophy of learning a car, it's just working and going in the right direction.
